I leave for four days and come back to World War 3. Tf happened?

yeah... no

Thoughts? I still think Vision Strikers would win, but who knows. Anything can happen.

posted about 2 years ago

probably taking into account scrimbux

posted about 2 years ago

They don't need chamber. They'll do it in two days.

posted about 2 years ago

probably liquid or smth

In this situation, it's better to take personal bias and emotions out of decision-making.

still can't believe this dude had the audacity to delete his apology...

I think they're pretty strong. They threw a lot of rounds early on in the LCQ but they definitely looked stronger by the day and learned from their mistakes. My main concern is how they'll do on lan, on a stage setting. I do believe that they should make it out of groups at least.

posted about 2 years ago

at least they made it. Unlike a certain team that didn't even make LCQ let alone Champs.

posted about 2 years ago

man i was trying not to jinx them

posted about 2 years ago

Most likely BabyJ. He's a cracked sentinel main and sounds to be a good IGL or at least one with potential.

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think VS will win either. They're amazing as a unit, but they don't really have a star player. Like a TenZ from Sentinels. I hope VS get far though, or at least play the best they can.

posted about 2 years ago

well... I admire your enthusiasm, even if I personally disagree. I still hope Keyd performs well though. I'm looking forward to seeing what they've got. Whether or not they'll win the entire thing is different, however.

rip the Chaderus

you're absolutely right, I can't argue with such a sophisticated argument.

posted about 2 years ago

Surprisingly the exact same teams as you. However who I want to win and who I think will win are different thought processes.

posted about 2 years ago

Nah TBD has been playing the games of their lives, they're at their prime. While on the other hand, TBD has been playing pretty averagely. They've had some close calls that shouldn't have been close calls. I think TBD might win, or at least it'll be closer than expected.

yeah I put KRU above Furia in my pick ems.

posted about 2 years ago

lmao I'm pretty sure we have the exact same pick ems.

I'll probably modify them later.

posted about 2 years ago

Who do you think would win? I think they're pretty similar but I'm leaning towards Furia atm. I've been going back and forth.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah, the korean valorant scene isn't doing great at the moment. And without competition neither will VS.

posted about 2 years ago

I have heard a lot of noise regarding Mwerza and VK. I also believe that FS is overhyped. I hope FS does well and I think they're good, but I don't think they'll win.

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think it's the general consensus that Sen is going to go crazy. It seems pretty even between "Sen learned from their mistakes and will be back better than ever" and "washed, not good, since Iceland there are better teams now. Their golden age is over."

posted about 2 years ago

I agree. I think they deserved to win LCQ, but they went 3:2 against Nth and lost to them previously. I don't think Nth is a team that would have a large chance of winning Champions (provided that every team plays normally, it's not accurate nor smart to rely solely on one team underperforming and another going crazy for predictions, despite there being a chance of it occurring). The others they beat were Reject, DMG, and Nuturn. Reject isn't notable and Nuturn hasn't improved at all since Iceland, since then a lot has changed. If anything NU got worse. NU didn't use Hyeoni right in the slightest. As for DMG, DMG didn't really practice and had been already planning a roster rebuild. They were caught by surprise by the fact that they would be in the LCQ (I'm not 100% on this, I heard of it though. I'm pretty sure DMG wasn't supposed to be in LCQ so they hadn't prepared correctly for the event).

FS should win a few, but I seriously doubt they'll end up champions, or beat notable teams like Envy or GMB.

If I got any of my facts wrong, I'd like to know.

honest question, has Rossy done anything noticeable yet? I've barely heard of him, even in discussions about Imt and their players.

posted about 2 years ago

that's actually sort of common. A lot of people think they won't win. Either because they will have been studied, or that they just won't be in form and won't have a consistently good mental, etc.

posted about 2 years ago

Which teams are the ones that people say will go crazy in champs, but you think that are going to do okay and not live up to the hype?

posted about 2 years ago

Gambit in form stomped everyone same with sentinels so they are certainly favourites.

keywords being in form. They have a rather bad habit of not being in form.

But it's true that they're cracked and very likely the best team in the world atm (provided they are in form).

posted about 2 years ago

good read, thanks for the treat!

posted about 2 years ago

That's why they're participating in a lot of tournaments. To improve their mental and get used to the environment (ofc champion's environment will be different but nonetheless, it's still a type of tournament). Whether or not it'll be enough remains to be seen, but at least they are trying.

I don't think FS will win the whole event, but I would like to see them perform well. I don't enough about VK but they sound like a strong contender with a lot of potential. So I'd at least like to see them live up to their hype.

posted about 2 years ago

lol not Vision Strikers, I can tell you that. I mean it's clever. It has a V and S that together make up one big V. But it's not aesthetically pleasing.

posted about 2 years ago

yes, they do seem to be learning from their mistakes and are actively participating in as many tournaments as possible.

posted about 2 years ago

ye he's cracked.

posted about 2 years ago

yes. kiwis are awesome.

posted about 2 years ago

because I'm new and VS's playstyle stuck out to me way more than every other team. I find their playstyle and util usage beautiful and intricate.

posted about 2 years ago

and let's pray some company like Warner Bros doesn't take it and turn it into a shit live action.

an anime would be sick though. Whether or not it'll happen is uncertain :(

posted about 2 years ago

Both upcoming players, and players in champs.

posted about 2 years ago

agreed. It's not a world-class story, but it's plenty entertaining enough. It has a lot of die-hard fans though.

I don't know anything about Overwatch, so I don't have input on the last part.

NA:
Sen/Envy/C9B/Rise/100T (xset and rise are interchangeable)
APAC:
VS/FS/Nth/PRX/CR (I'd include DMG but I heard they're going through a roster rebuild and I don't know how that'll turn out, hopefully well)
EMEA:
GMB/Liquid/ACE/VGIA/G2 (sadge guild)

the rest I don't know much about yet. I know enough for a top 2 or 3 for each region, perhaps not a top 5.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah everyone has different preferences and perspectives. That's what makes communities great. Personally, I'm not very picky.

I've read a lot of objectively badly written books that I've still enjoyed and had a pleasant experience reading.

posted about 2 years ago

add that to newfound pressure along with the fact that they already have a habit of choking... it's not an insult. It's an observation.

for sure, I def agree that Shah should stream. I said that in a different reply that it was a massive win win scenario for him.

plus, it's fun. It's both a grind and a pastime. Which is a good thing. There is nothing wrong with streaming as a pastime. In fact, finding streaming fun is necessary for it to be as effective and efficient as possible.

By streaming, they can have fun, build their brand, make money that can be invested into themselves and their career path, maintain their mechanics, and practice some aspects of the game. Why would they not stream? They already have a fanbase, it's a win win.

(now maybe he shouldn't be on Twitch for a third of the day, but he should definitely be on twitch consistently. It's a long-term investment and overall intelligent move).

My only concern is the amount of time he streams. But everyone has different tolerances and habits.

shah is just built different.

Most things Brandon Sanderson writes. Stormlight Archives, Mistborn, etc.

The Lies of Locke Lamora.

the Dune books were amazing.

I also enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia, Kingkiller Chronicle, the Witcher Series, a ton of Tolkien Novels.

John Carter of Mars and the rest of the books in that series.

Then there are the classics like Sherlock Holmes, Robinson Crusoe and such.

It's been a while but I remember enjoying V for Vendetta.

I honestly haven't read a long series in a while. I went through an anime phase, then a manga phase, and now I primarily read Korean light novels and manhwas.

being used to a heavy workload isn't necessarily a good thing. It's how he deals with the stress that comes with the workload that's important.

However, Shah genuinely loves his career. It's not like he's grinding something he hates or doing something he completely despises 20 hours a day. The man has fun doing it. That's important.

you criticized Noyn for being biased while being even more biased.

Although I do agree that the amount Shah streams slightly concerns me.

But yes. The man sits behind a computer for 15 hours a day. He likely keeps himself relatively healthy (diet, gym, sleep, breaks), but this is part of his job. It's a grindset.

posted about 2 years ago

it definitely is a long time. But most students do that so that's not that bad. I didn't know he didn't do the full 24 hours, I just saw his title streaming and that he was still streaming before and after I slept so I assumed he was fully dialed in and did it all.

posted about 2 years ago

hot is an understatement. If it does pan out how you predicted, that would be one hell of an entertaining tournament.
