The only insight I can give you that might actually help your opinion is that this has been a deliberate decision, they chose Sayf to be the IGL a while ago. After all of the tryouts and praccs, they have had the chance to still keep cender until very recently but they have decided to got for Kicks (apparently) which is not a firepower upgrade. That means they specifically want Sayf to IGL because that's who they trust, not because they want to fit more aimers on the team like it could have been the case of NRG for example

That being said the decision could still be wrong, but at least is a decision they have actively made and reconfirmed after a couple weeks for pracc, not just an accident that has forced him to take the role
