ranked ladder CAN be a good system to promote and scout upcoming talent (demon1, karon) but rn it's not built to incentivize the best players to play as well as they can

FPL system is often overstated but still any sort of reward that's somewhat different will incentivize the grind from the top

kaajak will slowly build back his confidence: guy is a beast and he'll shoot hard

like the addition of d00mbr0s, I think he got snaked by Navi and elma always seemed slightly on frsudwatch so hopefully the macro stuff is better now!

the main thing is just the talent development in Korea in particular, hopefully China too, is just too insane

good culture for gaming and esports + if u watch the interview meteor just did he was talking about how VALORANT is the top game to pursue in younger kr players rn

also throwers, when will this game get serious ?
prize pool for top radiants would make high Elo so much better again

genuinely, if the rumours are true and they put him in for mindfreak in stage 2, do you actually think this will be a good decision for the team?
all respect to patman ive watched a bit of SEA challengers and he's shooting quite nice, but this just seems like an attempt at the -benkai situation again - mindfreak is consistently one of the only players on prx that kinda plays... "normal" valorant, and i feel like the fundamentals take quite a dive if he's off the team

curious for your opinions

sorry for not being helpful but genuine question: i havent played rivals yet, what's the hype around it? r u a fan of the mcu or is it just a fresh new game like why has it been so popular for a bit now

i wanna try it this weekend is all lol but i dont get the hype

for both of you, what is the biggest thing that the other cn teams lack that edg has?
is it just firepower (im recalling chichoo crazy shots) or is it strats, a bit of both?

any teams that stand out in either regard? i know Trace had a good bind with the deadlock from champs last year but apart from that it's a bit unknown
oh and ofc blg lolol

agree w/ #2, i think he'll want to prove his worth again and that burning revenge arc is especially true to his character i mean he seems stone cold

hard to tell with the language and chemistry stuff tho but apparently all the mibr players speak english? should still be a good team, im worried about form from the start but they should still be a contender later on in stage 1 - maybe even stage 2

new to VLR and to the regions as a whole, who's looking nice in china for stage 1? other than EDG, any frontrunners to qualify to toronto?
i heard nova is pretty nice

HAHA ur good but yeah i think 100t just had a rough draw for kickoff and they'll match well against most of these teams - i am biased tho i am fs a 100t fan but i think they should be ok, there were fs some role issues (ie: boostio previously leading in first engagements for the team vs now being on breach and being clearly uncomfortable with the more passive support util initiator) but i think some of the guys are just farming like eeiu had mega highlights and i hope they can replicate that split 1 magic like last year

i agree i think g2 will still be nice, for sure. im just praying on a lil upset cuz nothing ever goes perfect - but i think MIBR resetting with verno could go iffy, i do have high stocks on the KRU roster tho

i have a cooldown but i think there's a decent chance

  1. Their group is stacked but I think the biggest challenge rn looks like KRU
  2. icebox coming back looks nice for them, ascent is a bit iffy but it's still fine
  3. I think Asuna would go insane on Waylay

Americas: 100T
EMEA: i really hope KC make a comeback but realistically it's gonna be VIT probably
Pacific: DRX/T1, but i want GE to do well so bad
China: EDG but i want NOVA/WOL

oh thanks man i appreciate it :D

follow up: is this why people bait on this website? bc they can farm engagement and then get upvotes/downvotes?

i would imagine downvotes are bad towards score progression tho no?

LMAOO it's scripted fs.

posted 5 months ago

agreed - there were just too many storylines going into it that either way it would've been gutwrenching

fun to note tho that this was the biggest upset in an international finals (based on pre-match odds), which i think shows that by all accounts g2 probably should've won and i know valyn will be kicking himself at a couple rounds he might've misplayed but overall the level of play was quite high and a really nice game to watch

okay solid thanks man

do self upvotes count too cuz i dont do that but i might have to this cooldown is killing me

posted 5 months ago

how do u reduce the cooldown i have a 5 minute one rn

posted 5 months ago

happens to some teams - when you are constantly winning u dont have to deal with the processes of coming back so i think it was maybe a mental thing?

also t1 popped tf off lmao

this would actually go super hard we'd get viewership increase in emea from all the cs hatewatchers
