genuinely really engaging and cool content - pacific has (in my opinion) always been on top of it with the content game.

apart from EMEA's podcasts, are there any other pieces of content from different regions similar to this one?

I'll add on because I'm a bit peeved - for Worlds Finals, Riot did have a Riot 2FA system! Tickets had to be purchased with an active riot account created before October 1st and must have had a record of LOL gameplay on it. So why was this not possible here? Why could we not get accounts verified? If we already know the venue is tiny as shit, why are we not trying our best to protect genuine fans (bc the VALORANT fanbase in the Ontario region is HUGE let alone the rest of the North Americans trying to come watch).

Dumb system. Not even dumb system, just poor management. They could've managed it fine, but they chose not to.

posted 4 months ago

This is beyond disappointing - there's no Riot login required for this one unlike Champs so the bots likely scalped it up so quick. I waited an hour to queue only for that blue little fucker to walk like 1mph across my screen for tickets to be sold in 8 minutes (most of which not even to humans).

Surely AXS and Riot re-release the tickets, this is just stupid

WON PISTOL ROUND

THAT'S MY ASUNA

ok it ended up being pearl haven split... so my map calls might be fraudulent, but LET'S GO THIEVES

posted 4 months ago

Hello everyone, my name is 100T mangotan - unofficial analyst for 100 Thieves and fan of the team since Asuna first joined during their First Strike win. For years, I've watched and analyzed this team, and this year, I’m going to be releasing weekly analysis on my boys in red. Let's dive into why 100 Thieves is about to mop the floor with Sentinels in their opening game this week. Buckle up, cuz this is gonna make some SEN fanboys cry into their overpriced merch.

Why will 100T win this game?
100 Thieves is walking into this match with a chip on their shoulder and a roster thats finally clicking like the gods of Valorant intended. Asuna and Cryocells are about to pop off so hard that Sentinels wont even know what hit them - think 40-bombs while SEN is left clutching their pearls. Boostios IGL skills are light-years ahead of anything SEN can muster; hes basically playing 5D chess while johnqt is stuck in checkers mode. And lets be real - 100Ts strats are so crisp they could cut glass, unlike SENs predictable, washed-up playbook that hasnt evolved since 2021. History? Sure, SENs got the edge in head-to-heads, but thats ancient news - this is a new 100T, we channel the energy from the 100T MR team, I’m thinking thieves to bury this narrative six feet under.

What is SEN not doing well at?
Oh, where do i start with this dumpster fire? Sentinels are a team riding on fumes and nostalgia, pretending theyre still the kings of NA when everyone knows theyve been coasting on TenZs overhyped reputation for years. Their teamwork is abysmal - half the time it looks like five solo queue randos who just met in the lobby. Zellsis might talk a big game, but his "flexibility" is just code for "i dont know what im doing half the time." Now lets talk about the real mess - their mental game is so weak it’s basically tissue paper, and team cohesion? Nonexistent. N4RRATE and johnqt are stuck on roles theyre not even used to, floundering like fish out of water, and it shows. Humiliated 13-1 by Team Liquid? A total clown show that proves they cant hang with the big dogs anymore. SENs a fractured mess, and 100T is about to exploit every crack til they shatter.

What am I expecting from 100T?
Im expecting 100 Thieves to come out swinging like theyve got something to prove - because they do. Asuna’s gonna remind everyone why hes the true face of NA Valorant (EWC Poster), not some streamer-turned-pro who lucked into a roster spot. Cryocells will be landing headshots so clean that SENs egos will need therapy after this. Boostios calling is gonna be so on-point that itll expose SENs strats as the outdated garbage they are. Theyve had weeks to prep and anti-strat these frauds, and it’s gonna show - 100T has SEN’s number, and theyre dialing it in hard. This is the team that won VCT Stage 1 last year, the true champs of NA, and theyre gonna win it again while SEN rots in irrelevance. I want to see 100T play fast, aggressive, and fearless - full send every round, no mercy. This isnt just a win; its a statement. Theyre gonna make Sentinels look like a tier-two team begging for scraps, and im here for every second of the carnage.

Final Result: 100 Thieves 2-0 Sentinels.

Thats right - a clean sweep so brutal itll have SEN fans uninstalling Valorant in shame. Map one, Icebox, 13-6, with Asuna on a nerfed Reyna dropping 30 kills and making SEN look like silvers. Map two, Lotus, 13-8, Cryocells clutching a 1v3 to seal the deal while SENs bots ragequit in their heads. Sentinels will be left scrambling for excuses while 100T marches on to remind NA whos really on top. This isnt even a rivalry anymore - its a massacre. G G E Z.

See you all after the game. #100TWIN

umm so i wasnt the only one asking in chat and he didnt respond to the spam of questions, so im a bit worried it might have to be an ewc related thing...

either that or he's just in london for longer and riot's trying out new duos, but knowing rito gams... uuhhhh

posted 4 months ago

why is he not casting? bren's with babybay - he's still watchpartying tho. anyone got the answers? im too scared to ask in his chat he might call me a bot and i love sideshow

wait he got signed to ns ok he's still getting paid thank fuck that man is underrated

posted 4 months ago

they've confirmed that the whole event will be at enercare, so the first bit seems unlikely. but yeah, the walls being taken down will hopefully help

posted 4 months ago

okay valid - do you think they'll take down the wall b/w exhibition halls a and b to make it bigger? at least for the finals weekend... right?

posted 4 months ago

okay ive been in the enercare centre before, and ill give it credit - i think with good design layout from the team at riot, it can still be a good event. yes it looks small but it's actually decently big, and depending on the stage layout, they can def cram a lot of people in there.

but that being said, im a bit disappointed that riot didn't try to acquire a bigger venue. i saw a lot of people on twt saying that they should've gotten the scotiabank arena, and i think that's a bit unrealistic given the cost + constant usage of the stadium, but surely riot tried to at least secure coke coliseum or something, right?

worries me also for the planning of MSI for league bc im worried they'll cheap out on the venue in vancouver too :(

posted 4 months ago

makes sense, i just think it opens up formats like full swiss for champs with 16 teams instead of groups, which i think is a bit outdated

but i agree wu, do u have a link or something where a riot official has said anything about this? been trying to find something but came up with nothin

posted 4 months ago

didn't wanna include ewc in the title since too many baiters have been being stupid today about the topic but i wanted to ask:
1 - if there's 12 matches in a day, wouldn't EWC just have a multistream going?

i think it'll just be like
Group A - Group B openers
Group C - Group D openers
All Group Upper R1

all 1st day, with an A and B stream running

2 - why doesnt riot do multistream system like ESL does in cs? i think it can help with reducing the amount of days for running an event which would definitely be within riot's interest, seeing as though venue operation eats the biggest chunk of the budget rn (this would only be for masters/champs)

anyone know what's up here? who's joining the team now

posted 4 months ago

strange take, 4th seed going to lowers and 1 seed getting a BYE is good because it rewards good group play

it also means less "pointless" games later in the stage as teams want to not be caught in lowers with no chance already

as a further note, your logic to "disprove" the bracket is crazy. "wHaT if koI uPsEts anD tHeN TL GEt aN easY paTH tO QuaL?" like yeah, if a team that's "bad" upsets, this is gonna happen anyways, what's your point LMAO

Sentinels vs 100 Thieves WEEK 1.

Who you got?

posted 4 months ago

i think 6 is way too low, especially if you consider regions like americas or pacific where they're basically a bunch of regions in one with regional rep factored into who's partnered

like what, 1 LATAM partner, 2 Brazil, 3 NA? that's insane work. one of LEV/KRU out, and half of NRG SEN 100T C9 EG G2 is a bit crazy

or if you consider pacific, i think there's already an imbalance of regional rep there, it would only exascerbate the issue

make it 8 partnered 4 ascension, i liked riots initial plan of 14 in the future where 10 partnered and 4 ascension, but we know 14 is infeasible

this is all just riot backpedalling because finally they've realized that this isn't actually a super profitable model, and they want to make sure t2 is better. win-win ig, but it doesn't guarantee investment from orgs because now they spend EVEN MORE trying to get an ascension spot.

tldr: bad for orgs, good for players (esp t2), 50/50 for fans since we lose some big names but could get new storylines

posted 4 months ago

i think this is really poor rationale tho like yes i agree asuna has been pretty mid for a while now but boostio has also been off and it's not the calling, im not disagreeing with you there, but at some point if the guy is playing his best on an "entry" role why are we not allowed to criticize this? like even he's saying he feels uncomfortable on the breach/support util vs the hard engage which he used to do

posted 4 months ago

are we finally as bad as cs? surely not

posted 5 months ago

wait surely not, i thought it was like talent, some media, some content creators, and then also the players from the tournament themselves no?

posted 5 months ago

double duelist or breach tejo i think are the "meta" reads rn --> emphasis on breach tejo because double duelist was rly just t1 but i think many teams will adopt it now

posted 5 months ago

is it that broken now? they made him more selfsufficient right

posted 5 months ago

does it actually work? seems insane rn at least in low elo because it's like one shot or else u're cooked unlike the breach stun with rng

posted 5 months ago

tejo looks really nice on this map - lots of good positions to use for exec and defense, especially taking the mains early

my goat fr

posted 5 months ago

for sure, at the very least Pacific goat

buzz just needs to lend him some aura tho

posted 5 months ago

think so, even without recency bias i think having 3 maps being so close beats out a 3-11 comeback on home soil, sorry

posted 5 months ago

let's see what he can do now with a squad he built to surround himself with the best resources

got high hopes for mibr even despite the Verno stuff (tbh might be an upgrade if they can get the chemistry flowin

posted 5 months ago

they'll match well against all of them tbh, im super hyped for the return of all thai squad and killua has been looking nice

posted 5 months ago

of course, G2 is in fucking inhuman form right now

but i do think that NS is another one of those teams that can contend on a higher level, they just need to prove it and then the narrative of ascension -> global stage can be even bigger

sadly i don't think any of the other ones can compete at the same level rn, maybe M8 by the end of the season when the team is more well integrated or DRG stealing a spot?

posted 5 months ago

hopefully, u watch their vods with non-neon comps and it looks like they just completely forget how to play fundamental valorant

they're a nice squad tho so i hope they can bounce back and show the world g2 aint the only ascension team with high peaks in toronto!

posted 5 months ago

upgrade but it still sucks what they did to natank i mean this guy literally shifted his life to come to na and now he's gone

posted 5 months ago

+1, i think it's tough to see actual innovation with abilities

but also if this game is going to go towards agent bans in the future, which i do think is possible, they're going to functionally have to create duplicates for every agent with a few key differences between them (ie: compare mechanics for most midlaners in league, relatively similar, albeit different "classes" with some niches, but that's probably where it'll go with val so that you can have more agent synergy even with bans)

i have always disliked post-partnership lev for this exact reason too - luckily, i think there's going to be more latam/sa rep coming in next year because their academy roster is so stacked, but man it's so unfortuante what this org came to be

and the worst part is: rossy actually is nice, this org could be in contention for s1, so they might do well for it and not get flack

im curious tho - if you had to replace them, what latam team would u bring in instead? i like 9z Team as a potential replacement - been in the scene for a while and had good talent development with rubbkoide and co.

i like how these rosters look

so sad that texta and crunchy went back to cs but hey at least they're going to lans now

ranked ladder CAN be a good system to promote and scout upcoming talent (demon1, karon) but rn it's not built to incentivize the best players to play as well as they can

FPL system is often overstated but still any sort of reward that's somewhat different will incentivize the grind from the top
