should obviously bench hazed for brax but tsm players are too attached as friends and don't want to cut/switch anyone. I personally think hazed is a GREAT player but its obvious that tsm has not been working well together for dozens of reason and I also don't think cutler was even one of the major ones. They have team comp issues, igl issues, no unpredictabilitly, and etc. The team needs an entire makeover and i'm not opposed to getting bang but why the fuck are they getting rid of swag who obviously could be integrated as well. I think if they add in BOTH brax and bang they will be great...but bang will not be enough

no doubt consider also how bad zellsis played he usually is the carry and this time bottom fragged

posted about 2 years ago

yea yea I think of Zellsis had more time to get into KJ they would have played better his ults and utility weren't super good but overall they played insane, just couldn't get a round on Attacker side and when they got a pick they overthought it

posted about 2 years ago

zellsis trying to setup like 10 things in A heaven was a mistake. very obviously not a KJ main but they played well nothing but respect

Liquid looked like they were in great form the first half but for some reason it looks like TL can't win a T round now, vanity making so many great reads right now. WITH A SUB not a tenz level sub but JAMMYZ

thief and not moose?

NA's 2nd best I honestly would not even claim that. Top 5 in NA easily but they were just in exceptional form during their run even vanity himself has said this

posted about 2 years ago

wippie was super important to how the entire team worked, he would be on his own making plays on viper and calling things when he thought it was right. He also has impressive score lines and was essentially a huge part of their success losing him was a bad loss but they can still pull themselves together and play as they did. The reason CR got so many rounds was also due to their unorthodox nature of play, they peek random shit all the time and hold angles no one does in NA

posted about 2 years ago

can't believe anyone doubted V1, not to hate on CR but I don't think their region has anywhere near the competition in NA

posted about 2 years ago

plus 1, tired of people shit talking minor regions who are playing their heart out. ask for more spots within emea don't get mad at others guys who have played for spots in their rightfully regions. It's necessary to be inclusive for the future of the game if anything just make a CIS/TR slot and call it a day.

everyone will be nervous when they walk on that stage. the first ever valorant lan, the first lan that they are playing(other than the koreans) and of course they are aware of how strong the other teams will be

if you look over my post you'll actually see the 3rd*, but if you use your half sentient brain and go to enigma's posts you'll see that enigma posted a list of the most popular flairs with their number of users. Seeing this you'll note that their are 22 V1 fans which makes V1 the 5th most popular team in NA.

Now if you actually use your brain you'll go to TSM's match page(right here: https://www.vlr.gg/team/matches/106/tsm/) take note of the amount of times they failed to qualify with the money, resources, and talent in their possession.

I like this, this is fun EU can actually banter and wont have thousands of people hating on them forcing the org to delete the video from twitter(100t)

posted about 2 years ago

tbh everyone can have their personal theories and etc but this the first International tournament ever in valorant and we wont know how teams play each other till then. NA can get stomped NA can stomp EU can get stomped and can stomp we simply don't know and I would not be surprised that a game like valorant would not have any "dominant regions" but rather dominant teams. Even teams from the same region play a little differently from each other so I'm expecting a nice Rock-Papers-Scissors-esque competition

randysavage still one of my favorite players. guy is so clutch

EDIT: Huge upset congratz brimstone

jett isn't worth it if your jett player isn't consistent, its just not worth sacrificing an entire slot if the person is not fragging when you could exchange that for so much more utility. This is exactly why Huynh was cut from GenG hes a great jett player/OPer but was never consistent

posted about 2 years ago

yea true true, i'm just thinking like this because there hasnt been any tournaments as of recent :P want to see teams play so badly!!

posted about 2 years ago

i'm very curious to see how they perform without wippie but vanity also has a tendency to pick up really good players. I don't doubt jammyz is good but I wonder if he'll be enough to continue the form they had considering he's replacing a sentinel player but has only games recorded on viper/jett

I have no faith in Korean teams, they have the most tactical and strategic play style no doubt but their individual prowess I feel will leave them with a lot of holes. VS also was consistently stumped when they found their plays interrupted by coordinated utility combo usage, it will be exactly the same. V1 ( SADGE) will do poorly for multiple reasons 1 being that their a brand new team 2 being that their brand new team playing with a sub that is replacing one of their most integral players. I think either Fnatic/Sen can win in the finals but I know both will get there and Sen has a tendency to do lower bracket runs and also do decisively well in rematches thanks to Shahzams anti-stratting

posted about 2 years ago

well tbh tsm out of all the teams would benefit the most as they can iron out their issues more efficently in less important tournaments but according to other people here they can't play in it if there top 8? interesting

posted about 2 years ago

Why don't tier 1 teams play in these lower tier tournys to if not sandbag test out new comps and etc? Renegades and Soniqs just stomp everyone anyway why not just hop in there and test out their comps against decent competition? I know that they can easily wait for the next masters or whatever but it just looks nice for an org to be as dominant as Rise/Soniqs/Renegades in T2

posted about 2 years ago

vanity was talking about this too, that for some reason some teams are insane in scrims and that they get totally shit on sometimes but those teams never perform with even half that ability in matches. I think its just that valorant has too many variables that create randomness when people don't play entirely disciplined plus team like to try all the new team comps/ability combos stress free that might not necessarily make it to their matches.

posted about 2 years ago

V1 win but not having wippie is a huge loss for them, especially considering wippie was already a fresh pickup on a new roster.

posted about 2 years ago

Almost the same amount of V1 fans as the amount of the times TSM had a chance to qualify

posted about 2 years ago

scrims literally dont mean shit especially in this game but brax>>>>>>>cutler looking forward to seeing them play

posted about 2 years ago

I always end up with the most unfortunate teams on Haven, so fuck that map. Its also very annoying to hold sites vs a million flashes.

posted about 2 years ago

Does this team actually have any potential? They were so hyped up to be incoming threat but their most famous match is a loss to Sentinels where everyone thought they were doing great in Map 1 only to get 13-0ed the next. Renegades, Rise, and Soniqs are easily top 3 in tier 2 but Renegades although consistently toppling every other t2/t3 team always does poorly vs T1, Soniqs is usually a favorite in T2 as well but consistently lose vs Renegades(3-1 head to head record) and have most recently lost to Rise who is basically a brand new team in the scene. Soniqs's playstyle is just to play viper/kj/astra or brim most recently --> take a site while saving as much utility as possible -->give up site --> play post-plant with fuck ton utility.

IMO I think Rise out of all the teams in T2 will eventually make their way into the T1 scene as they've been consistently showing growth and have good players.

tl;dr: Rise best t2 team soon to be t1. Soniqs has been extremely disappointing and Renegades's performances have been lacking.

damn wippie is a integral part of their team being their play making viper/KJ

praying for them

posted about 2 years ago

the other teams vipers are oppressive and have impact other than stats, of course SEN's players are going to have good stats if they are so far ahead of every team in NA and winning everything without even using Viper at all except recently...

posted about 2 years ago

dapr isnt the even top 3 viper NA neither is zombs they literally picked up viper recently and have yet to play her to her maximum potential.

Top 5 is in NA is probably something like:

  1. curry
  2. wedid
  3. wippie
  4. iyen
  5. dapr/zombs

When looking at the best viper plays its very easy to go back and look at who was playing viper before she was buffed and who did will recently in Challenger stages 1,2 and finals.

dapr/zombs have good stats but Sen has yet to pick up viper in a consistent way and don't use her in the ways the best viper teams do. curry/wedid have been consistent staple viper players for their team and are also easily top 2, wippie's viper most recently had boded a lot of success for V1 and proved that he is easily one of the best upcoming viper mains and iyen when moving to NA really fleshed viper out to show her potential.

I really think that dapr or zombs could both be great viper players but SEN is not consistent with their comps and also I feel switch it up on a whim. vs T1 recently they played SicK on Sage and dapr on sova(which they never do) he was playing awful and ended that game with like a ACS of 80. If Zombs or Dapr pickup Viper and main her on not only icebox but other maps SEN will become very very dangerous.

posted about 2 years ago

their improvement was skyrocketing recently they straight up should have won vs SEN but got completely dunked on by SicK lol. They looked great recently and will be good next qualifier mark my words.

Could also add to NA:

100t/NV/C9 would have done better

posted about 2 years ago

yay is a great player and had an insane challenger finals but he also has very poor decision making that loses ABX straight up rounds. In that V1/100t series he was caught out with the OP in many crucial rounds. If you put him in a good spot with an OP he is a beast but the OP is so bad in this game anyway that it really is a high risk gun. You can't be as mobile in Valorant using it and its also a very high price so most really good OPers in this game know how to rifle really well and I can't help but think that ABX will continue to struggle against the top 3 in NA

posted about 2 years ago

lol these videos get me every time rip to that guy though

posted about 2 years ago

almost any map you can play sova without any knowledge of specific arrows/etc and be perfectly fine and useful to your team but on split its probably the hardest to do on split because their is so much tight space that you have to be pretty keen on how to use his utility to feel useful. I'd say his drone is probably good on any map though

My point exactly, mummAy was playing jett on split

posted about 3 years ago

Sentinels easily but 100t might pick up a game coming back in later rounds.

posted about 3 years ago

putting mummAy on omen game 1 is a really bad mistake, I know FNS has been hailed as a big brain IGL but you simply can't perform as well on the operator with omen as you can with jett. You also have to acc the time your not having the OP out while smoking/flashing it just doesen't work well. And now that they're putting mummAy on Jett in Split(a much more closed map) he will have nowhere near as much an impact as he would have on Ascent. I'm still in the boat of thinking mummAy is one of the most underrated OP'ers in NA but putting him on Omen is limiting his potential.

2-0 with Faze falling off entirely in later rounds but if Babybay frags out 2-1 easily

posted about 3 years ago

no she intentionally wasn't comming and going solo showers every round dying until the second half started then she started playing with the team

posted about 3 years ago

fun fact: Jazzy1k or whatever her name is threw one of my ranked matches up until we started coming back later. We lost 11-13 and I tune in and I catch her saying "Omg I wish I hadn't thrown at the beginning". Haha love playing with pro players in ranked they actually don't care and throw 90% of the time. Hopefully when the ranked leaderboard comes people will care more and won't throw.

It's easy to say who the best players are right now but what about those with the unruly nature to win 1vx situations? Of course the really good players like Tenz, sinatraa, and Screamclutch often but some players have a niche for it like vice on c9, lots of jet mains with knives ex: diceyzxd and shanks, hiko, hazed.

tbh their should be a clutch percentage in the stats tab
