Star players are players that the team plays around, sets up for their success, and have the potential to carry games by themselves. That's always been the definition of a star player in FPS games.

So by default, typically you'll see star players on duelist roles, it's almost as if Riot made a specific star player role for that reason. Stax just isn't this by the classical definition

Again, I think stax is a great player and a big reason of the success in his teams, especially early on, but he's not a star player in the traditional sense of the word
