The problem is, SEN and NRG have a very similar map pool (Best maps are Lotus, and Corrode (SEN are also very good at Haven and NRG looked good on Ascent, but that's only one game); mid maps are Bind and Icebox (NRG are also mid at Haven); and their worst map is Sunset (SEN is also bad at Ascent). Because both SEN and NRG have a 100% winrate on Corrode, I would be surprised if either of them bans it. SEN this year has been good at Sunset, and I don't think their losses recently are enough to not ban it into them, considering you have a 0% winrate on it yourself as NRG.

Yeah, G2 and SEN are in their own tier, and they have been all year. 1. The G2 that played NRG didn't have their literal best player in Leaf 2. The G2 that played NRG was making way, way, way more mistakes than the one that played SEN, and 3. G2 had 10x the motivation to prep heavily for the Sentinels match than the NRG match.
