Yeah I agree, good reads are hard to do and sometimes it's luck which site you go to. Also, SEN was really bad, but it almost seemed as if they were not trying or saving strats like they've been historically memed to do. I don't actually think they were, but it looked sort of disorganized, and it's kind of on the IGL to sort of rally the troops and keep everyone's head in the game, but it looked like Shaz was off. Lack of effort really, too. If they had treated this game like it was masters finals, and gave 100%, the game definitely would've been closer. In this case, it's almost as if Shaz just said "yeah I don't really have a game plan for this team so let's just do our basic default", and then they lose a bunch of gunfights, and just mental boom and play afraid like it's solo queue.
Oh ok, yeah that roster would be op
I mean yeah, cuz of the shit seeding you know who your opponent is 3 weeks ahead cuz you know your seeding doesn't change, it's #16, and you know SEN is gonna win masters so like all they gotta do is just study how to beat SEN with TenZ. Also, another big part is that SEN couldn't study BBG back because of lack of vods. Both ways, preparation diff.
I mean they had to play XSET, who is clearly top 3 in the masters tourney. NRG isn't reaaaally that bad rn
just create a new post and say "LIKE THIS POST" then you will get the most downvoted. Or NSG dude makes a new thread and then we can do that
Ok, that map was pretty rough for V1 and anyone who isn't named "Zellsis" or "Will", but Bind isn't their strongest suit anyways. They'll come back. I still believe.
They won because they knew who their ro16 opponent was like 3 weeks before the match happened, because of seeding. They definitely anti-stratted, even though in all honesty there wasn't a lot of stratting from SEN. This is because SEN's only info on BBG is the games they recently played against them (no vods of BBG), so they were left with only breadcrumbs. But yeah, SEN's aim was awful, and the current iteration of their team relies pretty heavily on aim duels.
I know I predicted NV in the final, but right now I lowkey think that XSET is the stronger team. Either way, this matchup is weird because both teams perma-ban icebox. They both are honestly awful at the map. That's weird because I don't know if it will mean one team or the other will ban it, or neither will ban it and just say screw it. Either way I give adv. to XSET on icebox because NV are Phoenix abusers and that agents blows on that map. All the maps are 50/50 in my eyes except Bind which has gotta go for NV. It will depend on who wants it more. 2-1 XSET
So I guess it depends on your definition of a fluke. They won specifically because of anti-stratting and the format of the tournament and SEN's lack of preparation, which isn't necessarily to do with luck. But yeah, BBG isn't that good. Never were. They're better than they were before because of Poach, but... results speak for themselves.
V1 is just built different. Better aimers, while BBG is more strategical. V1 at least got Split on NV, BBG kind of just look lost right now even though XSET came to play. V1 2-0
Welp, I was right about the map score! Got all the map scores right today so far haha
I would do a more detailed analysis but the TL;DR is just IMT is better on more maps and more solid as a team. That's it really. 2-0 IMT
Honestly didn't expect this absolute ROLL of a map, especially on split...
Why are you disliking me, I thought teams could only have one roster
Copy cat...
Maps wrong but result right. I'll take it.
Is this even legal like in terms of the rules haha
Guess I kind of jinxed those three... lol
At least I got Haven right...
Damn I was just off. I thought since IMT hadn't been playing Ascent and when they did, losing on it... Well it seems Rossy might be what the team needs since jcStani the aim god is on Omen. Either way, WP on the first map so far.
well no1 slept on them in masters and first strike so maybe it's time to sleep on them for good luck :o
Guild is the first team in challengers finals! poggies!
rara
sharky
boostio
kanpeki

supamen
psalm
If I was to create a team?
kanpeki, rara, supamen, sharky, rebo??
or something similar
Yeah, this is a hard one. For at least part of a list, you could look for teams in the Rankings tab that aren't under an org, and look at their players. Kooky Koalas, rice and meatballs, ez5, and cute fat boys are good teams that have good players potentially to be signed.
So Astra is actually still being experimented in the meta. You have some teams immediately making a switch because it suits their team and they have good strategies with it, like XSET. Other teams are taking a slower approach and making sure they know what they're doing and that they have right number, like Sentinels, who only use Astra on split. However, most teams are not running Astra at all. This is probably for a couple of reasons, the first being that they haven't liked her enough to run her, and that they think Omen is better. The other, and probably more likely scenario, is that they haven't explored her capabilities enough and don't feel comfortable straying from their Omen strategies. Also, Omen is still good. His blind is a core for a lot of good strategies. Either way, this is a bad take. EU is likely using Astra more because their strategies are slightly more advanced and they were able to find good use of the agent quickly, or they just don't like Omen. I personally think both agents are very in-meta, and I'm sure a lot of you agree.
F in the chat for what could've been
YEAH WHAT DA HECK MANNNN WHATS GOING ON WITH NORTH KOREA
The points in the Masters events only matter for the end of the year. They are supposed to help to show the best team across the year as a whole. For now, for Iceland, you just need to worry about Challengers. There should be three challengers, and a challengers finals to decide who goes to Iceland (for BR). The format for the Brazilian events goes something like this:
CH1 --top4 auto qualify--> CH2
CH2 --top4--> CH Finals
CH2 --bottom4 auto qualify --> CH3
CH3 --top4--> CH Finals
CH Finals --top2--> ICELAND
Correct me if I'm wrong or if it's too confusing I can try to explain again.
It depends on the relevancy of CSGO and other shooter games imo. Right now it's pretty popular because it's flashy and streamers like Shroud and Sykkuno sometimes play it.
Is it 1 2 1 3 with outline thickness 2 and opacity .5? Closest I could get other than what was suggested before.
Literally just stole my tier list LOL
Sounds like your ranked problem
Ok take march madness for example. The fans of fuckn Hartford, a 16 seed, are going to say "oh Hartford is the best team in the tourney, Baylor, no SHOT", or, "great that we got in the tournament, just glad to see them here" and there's pretty much no in between. Can you see where I'm going with this? Pretty much anyone unbiased about the subject can safely say OCE < NA, but doesn't mean everyone's gonna believe it or hope that it happens.
SAY SIKE RIGHT NAH BRO. Gimme dat script.
Close game, can't win em all.
roca's a free agent :ooooo, same as rara
Bruh I don't even get why they picked up brax. WHERE IS THE IGLLLLL
Sadge
I think he meant "steel" ;)
I don't even speak the language and I like it better than english casting just cuz of how hype they are
I've played league for like 4 years and I can tell you if you implemented a system like that into the current valorant system it would be awful. 30+ agents, then we'll talk.
They do that. It still doesn't make a difference. You have to remember, TSM were #1 in North America during most of First Strike with like 2100 rating iirc, and XSET had about 1600 rating at that time. That's a lot of rating to recover.
To judge teams right now, because it's hard to judge the region, you kind of have to judge teams based on what actually happens in game. Like, can they adapt well, exactly how good is their aim, is their map pool solid, do they have good coordination, just things like that. Based off of an analysis like this, Vision Strikers would probably fall into the low end of Masters. This is especially true because they haven't even played against any teams outside of the region so it would take a lot more effort to prepare. Either way, I would love to see some of their set pieces in action in Masters.
