The blood red skies over Haven the seoncd map of the the second round of vct kickoff match between 100 Thieves and Sentinels. In the sweaty comms room Boostio leaned over the map his fingers trembling with rage and determination. "That snake Bang" he spat out slamming a fist onto the table. "We brought him up and trusted him and he walks out on us for them?” "Traitor" cryo muttered, his jaw clenched as he loaded his prime vandal. Asuna sitting nearby shook his head. "I still don’t get it? after everything we did together he sold us out? and For what?" "For nothing" snarled Eeiu. His brother in arms from m80 Zander nodded. "Were not just fighting for the win now were fighting for respect we will show him what happens when you betray family."
On the opposite side of the battlefield Sentinels were regrouping in a dimly lit corner of Haven c site. Johnqt glanced at Zellsis his gaze soft despite the chaos around them. "Stay close Zellsis this fights too important to lose you king your our vibe merchant" Zellsis grinned his eyes sparkling under the faint glow of the sentinels buddy on his vandal. "Don’t worry amine your not losing me anytime soon." But Zellsis gaze lingered a moment too long on his teammate Zekken who stood a few feet away. Zekken caught the glance and quickly looked away, his face flushing red as he tightened his grip on his oni phantom. In his mind he couldn’t help but fantasize about Zellsis his charm, the way he moved with precision and grace. "If only" Zekken thought.
The match was chaotic, the first half was a brutal tug of war between both teams with the score locked at 6-6 at the half sentinels rookie Narrate found his footing landing crucial shots that kept his team afloat. "Nice one kid!" yelled Bang, his voice tinged with pride. Boostios fury however, was unrelenting. By mid-second half 100 Thieves clawed ahead to 10-8 led by Cryo and Asuna, who worked together like a symphony of destruction. Then came the turning point. trapped in a 3v5 Zellsis called for backup. "Amine we need reinforcements quick were not gonna hold this without more firepower." Johnqt hesitated but gave in quickly calling in Sacy and Tenz to help turn the tide. Results turned sharply and despite 100 Thieves’ best efforts, Sentinels stole the second map 13-11 Outnumbered and outgunned in the third map 100 Thieves scrambled to even the odds. "We need help now!” Boostio barked into the comms. Minutes later Hiko and BabyJ arrived on the scene. Hiko an old war vet like Boostio clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Let’s finish this." BabyJ cracked his knuckles his steely gaze scanning the battlefield. "Point me in their direction." With the reinforcements 100 Thieves surged back dragging the match into overtime. The score ticked up 12-12, 15-15, 18-18 every round was a bloodbath. Every second a shot fired. In the end Sentinels firepower was too much Zellsis landed the final shot, his voice trembled as he whispered to his lover johnqt, "We did it" But as they embraced eachother Zekken watched from a distance his heart aching with a longing with affection. The scoreboard flashed 20-18 in OT and as the dust settled Boostio looked at his team weary but proud. "We didn’t win, but we didn’t lose our honor because throughout all 4 regions we have the backs of 100 different theives”
