They've had IGL/communication issues for awhile and that attributed to their lackluster performance in Split 1. Both b3ar and levius are off the active roster now, they're bots.
Has to be Mindfreak. Feels like every player or fan has either something/jinggg/david/forsaken in their top 10, while Mindfreak goes mostly unmentioned. He's the clear 5th best of his team and he's an excellent player. Had a few rough spots (like Madrid) but from as far back as I can remember he's been crazy good.
If there's a time for EDG to prove themselves as a legitimate threat it's now. KangKang needs to go back to his 2023 form and get 70 op kills across the tournament.
Lets not overhype NRG. BLG has been hitting the aimlabs and we're solving our role problems. NRG won't be qualifying for champs out of fear.
They played well against LEV, but with 100T being the heavy favorites against them I don't see FUT having a run in the lower bracket

This is a match where an upset is just barely possible, not 100% on it like I am for PRX winning over G2. Boostio is the best IGL in Shanghai but if his players get nervous things could fall apart quickly. Thing is, the map pool favors 100T. FUT love Lotus but 100T permaban that.
Not many maps/games have been 'dramatic'. The only games I'd consider to be worth watching from the swiss stage were the FPX matches. But the playoffs are looking NICE. GenG, 100T, PRX, and if EDG/FNC are in form could all deliver many potential bangers. Tokyo and Champs 2023 CLEAR the LANs this year though, without a doubt.

No, but there might be a case for wo0t being an even better duelist on certain agents. His Jett mechanics look superior so I wouldn't be surprised if we see wo0t being switched to the duelist on a few maps in Split 2.

EDG vs PRX, 100T, FNC and GenG would all be amazing series with great stories that would send the crowd into a frenzy. I just want to see all these matches.
I'm not at all worried about KangKang, I'm predicting a EDG 2-1 over TH. I'm just worried that the rest of the team will feel added pressure being the only Chinese team in Shanghai. I know from watching their vlogs that they've had issues with their mental.
Difficult to say that. While FPX are definitely a close #2 in China we need to see how EDG plays. For all we know EDG could completely bomb out like they did against LOUD. Even though FPX were a mess in Madrid at least the maps weren't a blowout. If EDG will ever become a serious contender to win an international the time is now to show it.
Others have said it already but Mini on Yoru/Neon and wo0t on Jett/Raze (Raze only on some maps though, cuz he likes to play Viper too). Mini is obviously a great duelist but he struggles on Jett from what I've seen. wo0t is an out of this world Jett.
I don't care how, but GenG and EDG need to face off.

Stax or yoman for your IGL
Xccurate for your flex, take him off IGL so he can frag
Stew, Hyunmin or Izu for your duelist (Saya has to go, not sure on Izu but maybe give him another shot?)
Skye's ult is just as good if not better than Cypher's ult. Could be used in so many situations and popped at anytime. Worst ult is Iso, though I personally hate Neon's ult.
Absolutely unbelievable 3rd map. If FPX has just gotten ONE more round in the first half they would've won this game. Gutting loss for them but I hope they keep their heads up for Champs and improve their defenses/map pool. This team has so much potential. Love these guys.
