Underwhelming match. Not much back-and-forth. Convincing win for LEV on Icebox then GenG just stomped them into the ground. Aspas worked his ass off and made the match a bit exciting. It was depressing to see Aspas with 20+ kills and his team all in the single ditches on Breeze.

LEV is arguably more reliant on Aspas than KRU is with Keznit (judging off Split 1 and now LEV's performance today). But KRU would've gotten whooped by GenG all the same, so.

I genuinely don't understand how anyone could say FPX winning was an upset unless you don't pay attention to China. FPX vs FUT was destined to be a close game and I knew it would go 3 maps. DRG though, their macro is not very good and their aimers (TZH) aren't the level of FPX. Still, it could be possible. TH would have to be having a really off day or have zero preparation for the 'Chinese deathmatch' style of gameplay.

I think Demon1 deserves another shot. FNS, s0m, Victor on duelist, Demon1 on smokes and Ethan or Crashies for the last spot.

Honestly Autumn looks like the most emotional guy on the team to me (facially that is, him and life are the ones who have the most reactions).

One point you made is exactly why I watch China more than any region. I'm looking forward to when China finally improve their macro. FPX's strats were beautifully done on Sunset. Combine great macro with the raw aim (arguably the best aim from any region) and China will be a major threat on international stages.

Pretty sure that's obvious. Even bottom teams like NOVA and JDG (sadly a bottom team) have cracked aimers. Many analysts have said that once China improves their macro/strats they'll be tough competition in Champs.

I think he gets nervous during internationals. Similar thing happened in Madrid but now that FPX has improved since then I think they'll be fine. Lysoar clutched up like crazy in those last couple rounds. He plays well in those clutch moments but he just needs to find better flow in games like this.

I agree with most of this but if you look back at the game both teams got sloppy. FPX played the macro masterfully on Sunset but the longer the game went on the more 'China deathmatch' it became and FPX thrived in that chaos because of their incredible aim and unpredictable plays (like Berlin and others pushing backsite on Icebox B during a postplant and Lysoar's crazy tps). FUT lost a number of 2 v 4s that they shouldn't of. But yeah, amazing game and FPX deserved the win. They played their hearts out.
