Tiebreaker rules:

Head-to-head Match Score
Head-to-head Map Differential
Head-to-head Round Differential
Map Differential
Round Differential

Be carefull it's not really clear when the bracket reset, so if A > B > C > A, they are a chance if it's end
A +1
C =0
B -1
It's A > B > C

"We dont have representation in T1 so people dot tryhard" --> "What we lack is a gaming culture" Then... Gives a slot in T1 to Indian player ??
You wont create a gaming culture if you have no representation in T1 x)

"They are here to make money."
Then they should all leave esport, they are no money to do in esport, best you can do is doesnt loose money

I'm not requesting for a national team, but for a T2 regional representant that cover like 50 territories

posted 22 hours ago

Bro they where partner for 2 year and drop Latam after 1. If next year their team become full Latam Riot shouldn't drop them, but if they kiep same roster... GOD. Even during prepartner KRU > LEV

What kind ?

"at least sentinels won something with that roster."
I rather want to see EDG and Wolves and champs than T1... If EDG make top 4 I see no reason to cry over not goint to champ

If EDG makes top 4 (Wish is needed to make them both go to champ), I dont see why EDG shouldnt go to world

As for WOL, Sen 2024 also sounded as a loss of slot, and wasnt the case

posted 1 day ago

You forget ping exist my bro https://wondernetwork.com/pings/Mumbai
Best they can do is Singapore with 60ping (You can have a decent ping on SG only of you are on east coast), you have no access to Korea or Japan server, the ping is way too high

You almost took only EMEA team, we literally share the same scrimpool, soloQ, and soon the same nuclear button, EU player will already plays against T1 player all the time in soloQ, if a player is good enough, he will be hire by a T1 team. While SA have a glass ceiling for having not the same scrimpool as other APAC region. The only way for an India player to improves is by playing in a decent soloQ and the only way to play into decent soloQ is to go in Korea because you get hire in T1.

I say every time that Lev should lose their partnership for that literally : drop that org

"Wish proves they are good on scouting !!!!"

Bad comparison, Europe is basically a shared market we share the same scrimpool, the same soloQ, wish is not the case for Indian talent

"He DID! he did gave two chances to two players, We didn't do well,"
They need more tuime in T1 if they want to have T1 level

"He has limited money and limited time."
Then buy indian they are less expansive

"They're an org there to win,"
And those win are in the room with us ?

"Not to fucking constantly bleed out of money"
Bruh...

Let's be real, Global esport can only take the leftover of other regions (Who would go to Global that have "limited money", when they can represent their region in a team that represent their region), you can't win with leftover. Take 5 Indians, even if they go 0-12 for 3 year, at least you will have some T1 experience that will trickle down on the scene and you'll end up with decent young player, and you will also haveexperimented player that will finally be better. And also remember than in 2021 India was equal from top 3, 4 and 5 Korean team. Stop having an inferiority complex, we are in the nightclub paradox, you dont want to see Indian into Tier 1 because they are bad, but the truth is that they are bad because the scene have no T1 player to bring experience

Not really, look at APEKS and EMEA, they won their place fair and square, being best team in T2 EMEA, but their best player just get poached by best team making them miserable during the year. The current system is the best, we can have both stability and big org and ciderella story

Thats the question i'm torturing myself with, as far as I would love a german org, I can see some problem wish that :

  • I'm not fully sure you have any german org as big as KC, KOI, VIT, FNC etc...
  • I think because German speak way better English than French and Spain, they tend to blend more into European community than us, wish making it hard to make a german org blossom, and make more sense to have "EU org"
posted 1 day ago

PRX, DRX and GEN will probably take the spots, then anything depend on if RRQ can make top 4 in APAC playoffs, if they cant, then Fraud1 will take the last spot with point, with 2 8th place on a raw.

Going top 2 for DFM and NS is not at 0% but is really low (Like... 5% each ?)

Here is what should be done :
5 regions : 12 team in each regions, 8 partner, 4 ascended
No T2 region (beside China) can have more than 3 ascended team
Best T2 teams are allowed to participate into qualification for international event (Has Faria did propose, wish will give more incentive to invest into T2)
The 5 region are Americas (We cant have more teams), China, and then since APAC is so huge, and increasing in term of val player, the war in Russia will end one day, and West and south Asia is rising, and Africa wil join one day or another, we will end one day or another we will need 1 region more in Eurasia, especially since they are so many market that are not represented (OCE, CIS!, MENA, VN, Africa in 10 years), this will not happen in 2027, but I bet in 2031 we will go to 5 regions

Americas 30 % of playerbase (excluding China)

  • 4 NA partner
  • 2 BR partner
  • 1 LAS partner
  • 1 LAN partner
  • 4 Ascention (Will probably be always 3 NA and 1 other)
    Not played in Los Angeles

China

  • 8 CN teams
  • 4 Ascention

Pacific 20 % of playerbase (excluding China)

  • 3/4 KR
  • 2 JP
  • 1 OCE
  • 1/2 Either TW or MN or both (Could also be an eastern Russian team, with player that have at least 50 % and X hours played on Tokyo server)
  • 4 Ascention

Asia 20 % of playerbase (excluding China)

  • 1 "MYSG" (PRX)
  • 1 ID
  • 1 PH
  • 1 TH
  • 1 VN
  • 1 SA (Mean India)
  • 2 TBD (CIS, MENA?)
  • 4 Ascention

Europe (EU+TR) 30 % of playerbase (excluding China)

  • 1/2 FR (KC, and either VIT or M8)
  • 1/2 ES (KOI ?)
  • 2/3 EU
  • 1 TR
  • 2 TBD (CIS, MENA?)
  • 4 Ascention
(It sounds weird to separate France and Spain from EU, but thats how it’s work, because in Europe almost every team have an European identity beside Spain team and French team, probably because we are both big and bad at english so we can develop our own structure https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language_in_Europe )

As you see, I didnt put CIS and MENA somewhere, that need to be determinated, both from geopolitcal and balance metrics, thats why both EMEA and Asia have « TBD », but at least one of them will have to join Asia because for the moment Europe is far bigger than Asia.

Kickoffs :
16 teams (Bracket is way better with 16 teams), the 12 T1 teams plus the 4 winner of T2

  • Amer : 1 LAN, 1 LAS, 1 NA, 1 BR
  • Pacific : 1 KR, 1 JP, 1 OCE, 1 TWHKMN
  • Asia : 1 SEA, 1 SA, 1 MENA, 1 CIS (If both are a part of the region)
  • China and Europe : Top 4 winner

Top 3 qualified

Masters 1, 16 teams :

  • Every regions got 3 slot
  • 1 additionnal slot foir the region that won worlds

Split 1 :

  • It’s harder to make T2 team having a shot, but it’s doable, probably by make play the best T2 team against the seed 3.

Masters 2, 16 teams :

  • Every regions got 3 slot
  • 1 slot for winner of master 1

Split 2 :

  • 4 places for every regions
  • Winner of Ascention plays against the lowest team in term of point for the last place

Champ, 20 teams or 24 teams

  • Every regions got at least 4 slot
  • If 24 teams, winner of M2 got a direct slot and you can make a playin for the remaining seed 5, or just gives a direct slot to the 4 best teams throught the year (not counted in the 4 seed ofc).
For 20 or 24 teams with enough time : Round robin, top 2 go to winner bracket, mid 2 go to lower bracket
For 24 teams if lack of time, you have the possibility to make it shorter with 3 swiss round, you will have 3 teams in 3-0 that would be qual, and 9 teams in 2-1 that will have to play one more game for the 5 remaining spot in playoffs. (Then do usual playoffs)
posted 1 day ago

I'm sorry my bro but I disagree with a lot you said here, even if I agree on the most important part : what we need to target.

To resume it fastly, you basically you want 6 region wish is basically going to 16 teams instead of 12 with extra step.

First not giving the same treatment to EMEA to Americas even if EMEA have a bigger payerpool than Amer make no sense. (At least make EU vs TR+MENA+CIS)

Second, putting 2 more team in South Americas and North Americas a first sounds like a good idea, I even made 3 video talking about going to 16 teams for every region ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3Yi7oKDdR8 americas one), but more I think about it, more I've changed my mind, if you add more NA teams or more SA team, you are just gonna make the slice of the cake thinner and diluting the level. The only reason it could be a good thing to add more team, is that if you want to give a chance to a market that have no team in Tier 1 yet and that you will loose on long term if not (Just replace LEV by E-xolos/Lyon/6K and we are good since only LAN isnt represented), if you want to talk about the ping problem, they their could have solution and location that could solve it, but thats a long subject (Yeah, they are a way, for T1 team to be in a location where they will both scrim NA and BR team with 40ping)

3rd, "No "ascension" teams, if you're bottom 2 in the region, you get sent to ascension no matter the org or team"
Thats actually an horrible idea, and make best region snowball on smaller one, Japanese team would simply disapear and create a snowball effect. Plus you would also loose a lot of investor. The current system partner + ascention is the best one, we have both the stability of a closed league and the storytelling of cinderela teams. The current main problem is that they are too mush partner and not enough ascention team, that lead to a good team that could be relegated. But this can be solve by just changing the nbumber of partner team as Faria did proposed.

4th, problem the team that you picked in Asia, Asia is arguably the only region in the world that currently need more team, for 2 reason : They are the most competitive one, and they are some market that are NOT represented in Tier 1. The main problem in Asia is that we don’t have Oceanian team in APAC despite having a lot of descent player that are forced to be imports in other region.

5th, Champions Stage (24 teams):
With your system, they are 48 team in teir 1, you cant make a champions where half of team are qualified.
Other problem about format, I like 4 group of 6, but if you qualify top 4, the last game will be only seeding games wish is no importance, instead you should do top 2 go in winner bracket, mid 2 go in lower bracket, so we keep stakes until the last game

6th, "In terms of import rules, some regions will get the hong kong/taiwan treatment, where because of geographical, political, cultural, or other reasons"
I can agree with that, but are you sure Kazakh and Uzbeck play on Asian server ? It seems the EMEA server are always the clothes (Mumbai, may be the only exception). The best exemple is Russia, some player dont hjave the choice and have to play on Japan, (They even have a specific Japan EMEA server), I think in case of Russia, only player that have 50 % (Could be 80 % if you want hire) of their game in Japan have to be counted as Asian

7th "Additionally, some north/central american countries like mexico or dominican republic would be non import for both na and sa, bc a mexican team technically would be part of na"
No they are a part of Latin America north, not part of NA, we don’t need to change the T2 boundary, they are good as it is, no need to give the Taiwan treatment there, SouthAm is weak enough, to cut them LAN T2 region. To be fair, if I would listen to my mind I would go even further and be even more restrictive on the import policy, and consider any T1 team is bound to a Tier2, and have to have at least 3 players from that T2 to preserve structure identity and not end as Leviantan or GE. In Europe it will depend on what you consider a T2 since we have EMEA master that is now the real T2.

8th "Overall, I want the regions to feel more geographically, competitively, and culturally balanced"
Your goal are noble and I agree with it. But the prescription you gave will make things worse, EMEA will be more competitive because the talent will be diluted elsewhere while Americas will become the weakest region. Japan will totally disappear of the surface of Valorant globe with the end of Partner.

---------------

Some playerbase statistics (excluding China and Africa)

  • EU : 23,4 % (5T2 cumulated, CIS inside)

  • TR : 6,4 %

  • MENA : 1 % (Regularly increasing)

  • CIS (It’s hard to estimate CIS, last time i’ve check it seems it was currently around 5 %, but it will be really higher, the day they have their own T2 and premier region, I’ll come back with more recent datas)

  • Africa : (No data, but will be a HUGE market to consider in the future, I don’t know why they dont have a premier region even if they have server)

  • NA : 13,5 % (Regularly decreasing)

  • LAN : 2,9 %

  • LAS : 6,2 %

  • BR : 7,8 %

  • KR : 12,1 % (Regularly increasing)

  • JP : 4,8 %

  • OCE 1,9 % (Dying because no T1 team)

  • SEA : 12,9 % (Slightly underrated by the metrics)

  • SA : 7,1 % (Regularly increasing)
