last year they weren't even bad though. even in their 9-0 slump they were having close games with all of the best teams. This is besides the point though, last year the 2nd or best map for prx was bind but nearing the end of champs they didn't want to play bind bc their normal reyna comp was getting destroyed in scrims and it just wasn't working. For g2 sunset might be going very well in scrims and the players feel very good on it but they don't feel that good on other maps.

you can't reason like this in esports though. Different Teams have different strengths and weaknesses and varied performances against different opponents. Take Loud v FNC, fnc beat everybody but then they would always struggle against loud even though loud would lose to teams that fnc would beat with ease.
