Jett, Sova, Raze, Omen, Phoenix, Cypher, and Sage are the ones I usually play. In my "team" setting, I'll play duelist since we have roles managed. On the comp/ranked side of things, I usually flex towards Sova, Omen, Cypher, and Sage because I feel guilty for taking a duelist role.

All jokes aside, not sure how many people below the age of 10 actually watch TenZ though.

I mean, its definitely manageable. Honors and AP workload isn't really that bad unless you are prepping for Physics 1 (in that case, good luck cause no prep time can help you with that ap test).

You'll see a drop in viewership but I don't think it'll be big enough to be a detriment at all. Games like CS, LoL, r6, and others have thrived during normal years so it shouldn't be that bad.

Yeah, Neymar is an incredible player to watch and was one of the reasons why I started watching some La Liga games over EPL.

posted about 2 years ago

A lot of Barca fans were torn up from his departure but honestly, given the time when he left, it made a lot of sense; A rising super star that is ready and motivated to become the best player in the world.

Kinda sad tbh. Neymar, despite producing incredible results and stats, never became the expectations a lot of people had for him (all the stage shine on him). He had good results and stats but never got to go beyond.

Asphyxia was emphasizing that relying on one, and one thing only, is not the greatest solution. Resonance/obsession is great, but overly investing into one thing can hurt you more than help in the long run.

Bro, to think fucking Messi and Ramos will be playing under the same team is just insane.

Isn't that an absolute last resort though for screening anyone that's massively flagged?

Granted, you can literally have assholes spamming reports on you.

Actually, I can understand his point about Android over Yay, even if it is a slight tangent. During their times in ABX, Android was what stuck out the most on ABX as a duelist and he was what brought the team decently far. When NRG gave him an offer they couldn't refuse, Android switched and gave the spotlight to Yay.

As of recent results, you can argue yay is better just off of that but then again, NRG is completely lost right now and it isn't really Android's fault. Yay is known for the 8 ping warrior but wasn't "crushing it" when the ping wasn't absolutely in his favor (TSM vs ABX). This isn't to take away from his fragging ability, he's an insane duelist. Just trying to be a bit more "realistic" when accounting for all of the history.

Though, in the end, I'd have to give Yay the win over android here. But I can certainly see the reasoning behind why Android might be rated higher.

Sentinels should be able to beat Acend but honestly, anything can happen. I'd say its like a 65-35 chance for sentinels and acend respectively just by looking at gameplay.

posted about 2 years ago

I watched a bit of TSM myth back during the fortnite reign in 2017-2018 (died 2018 idgaf). So there began my interest in TSM.

Though, what got me supporting them in Valorant was definitely Wardell transitioning from CS to valorant, and producing pretty good highlight clips. He was kinda an unsung star in the CS scene, not really having much chances, but always doing pretty decently as a player.

posted about 2 years ago

I'm going to be a bit biased when I say this but, I honestly think BabyJ and Hazed are better than Oderus as a sentinel. Don't get me wrong, he's a really strong sentinel and an even better IGL, but I think the other 2 are just more consistent as of recent.

Supamen for me has always been a top 3 controller player, just slightly behind nitr0. He frags and he uses his utility masterfully. I'd say he can definitely replace Vanity.

Your point about s0m is fair. NRG looked utterly shit recently but s0m has usually been the one to shine out in the end for NRG.

Basically, IIRC, you can create teams and participate in riot organized tournaments; its all within the valorant hub UI.

Prizess are usually skins or banners. Simple stuff like that.

I assume it works similarly to the LoL clash tournaments.

My guy tf are you on.

Its one thing to be a fan, but it's another to be ignorant. Sinatraa was by and far the best sova in the world. He was the only player to get like 2 kills with his ult every time it was deployed + shock dart kills. Man invented the odin spam through ascent + haven.

S1mple brings in most of the views for CS.

As for CS views in general, there was a period in time where all the twitch records were held by CS so there is that history that it has.

No fix. Just enjoy the trip is about all I can say. But it does suck you'll miss the hype for the biggest qualifier.

IQ means nothing without EQ in life. IQ also won't help you with endurance or persistence; it can help with understanding the logical components of any particular system you are studying, but it has ZERO profound effect on the mental aspect of learning/applying things.

A man who has lots of skill but doesn't try can never do much because they never use their skill fully. EQ matters a lot too, it isn't all IQ.

IK this post is a troll, but just wanted to throw out some thoughts.

I meant benched till he gets unbanned.

I don't think Sentinels re-negotiated his contract either, otherwise he would just drop the org entirely since re-negotiating the contract would imply full time content creation, or a decided future with his competitive time w/ sentinels.

From what I heard from my Malaysian friends, PubG and Apex are actually quite popular over there (as for pc gaming). Mobile games are still predominantly more popular but you do see people playing pc games over there.

posted about 2 years ago

Its popular in the SEA region but other games are bigger over there.

Essentially, Valorant has a presence, but it certainly isn't the first pick for a lot of people.

Nah its my bad LMAO. I meant initator meta but I was thinking of how it being a controller meta previously meant that the current meta was better.

nah thats my bad, I'm the idiot here.

Controller meta so I guess its an improvement. Postplant controller meta made it 10% about aim.

he's still on the roster but just benched

posted about 2 years ago

Pretty accurate assessment lol. It just shows how difficult it is to stay on top of valorant even if you win several games in a row.

posted about 2 years ago

This really isn't weird, more so just a small portion of the community being a dick.

Had a chinese character username and basically got harassed to death for having an Chinese character name. Racist remarks and stuff like that were thrown around and how "valorant is the only game I can play because China bans everything else." Bro I ain't even Chinese, I'm taiwanese american kiddo.

Had a funny encounter with a guy talking about lactation.....not going to delve further then that but it was quite interesting.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah, iirc, they bombed out of the round of 32 the challenger series before the one for Iceland.

I said "top dog", because everyone was hyping up Scream and how Liquid would take Iceland easily.

posted about 2 years ago

Idk, I just felt that they have a really good run to Iceland.

And to many, this was the case. Of course, if you looked at it objectively, then yeah, they have a grasp of the meta better than every other NA team (post-plant/controller meta).

But my point was regarding how others viewed it. Most people didn't view them as the second best NA team and when they went up against one of EU's "top dogs", it generated more hype than other matches.

posted about 2 years ago

Region. V1, despite qualifying for Iceland, was still seen as a top 5-8 team in NA, not a top 3 team in NA.

posted about 2 years ago

Not a 100t fan but, just because Sentinels WAS the better team then, doesn't mean they'll continue being the better team. They'll probably beat 100t, but that doesn't mean the converse can't hold true.

posted about 2 years ago

V1 vs Liquid was the best. Showcased how a top 5-8 team versus a top 3 team in EU would look like (of course at the time). Good match but unexpected by many in that regard.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean, not qualifying doesn't mean you aren't top 3. Brackets can be against your favor or maybe just a bad day.

Look at Acend failing to qualify for Iceland. A lot of people still considered them a top 2 team regardless of their failure for Iceland.

posted about 2 years ago

Winner of Berlin becomes the new #1 team in the world no?

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah V1 kinda threw against Nu; not to say NU is a bad team, V1 had advantage.

But yeah, I felt like Iceland got boring after the EU teams lost to the NA ones.

posted about 2 years ago

Scene is stabilizing but the format needs some work.

EDIT: Gonna be honest, Iceland was boring after the V1 vs Liquid game for me, dunno about anyone else. After V1 took down Liquid in a pretty convincing fashion + Sen taking down fnatic, results were basically predicted from then on.
