Team needs to be blown up imo. They have the player quality to win but as long as this roster stays together the mental will stay chopped. I think what happened here is that they thought they left the 2nd place curse behind last year and losing to FNC just broke them and they dont believe they can win anymore. The individual parts are still good, but they just dont work in this environment anymore.

I get what youre saying, but the lack of a strong leader in the IGL and/or coaching position is what makes this turn into an actual problem. You have way too many players that have and know their own playstyle and have found success with it, when theres no person top bring everyone on the same page youre going to be a mess

Thats kind of just a symptom of how small these tournaments have been. And lets not forget that TL have been dealt probably the hardest cards out of every team here, basically forfeiting their first game and having the least time out of every team attending, yet still almost qualified.

I just don’t believe that the gap between qualified for playoffs and missed playoffs is that big, especially with the swiss stage system. Some teams are bound to just have an easier road to playoffs.

If they get to GF it will really depend on FNC fixing some of their maps, especially pearl. They just dont have the map pool rn to win from lowers. PRX are good at both Pearl and Sunset, FNC are historically not, and they will be forced to play both.

Your original argument was EMEA being a worse region than others by virtue of having one less team in playoffs, effectively meaning you counted one team as the indicator of what a good region is or not lol.

A team can be strong even if they do not make playoffs. TL had to play a game with a sub, then went on to stomp americas 3rd seed and played a close game against PRX, yet you discount them as not being a contender. To help you understand my original comment:

Emea 1 > Americas 1
Emea 2 < Americas 2
Emea 3 > Americas 3

How is there an argument for Americas to look better in this situation, if not entirely based on TH underperforming?

Selective focus on heretics makes people think EMEA is a lot worse than they are. Trruth is TL wouldve most likely qualified if they played against any other team, or if they didnt have to basically toss their first game. Placement isnt an absolute indicator, and from what Ive seen of this tournament I have no reason to believe SEN is much better than TL at all.
