Of course. It is understandable they want to guarantee the investment of the teams participating in the league. That's why they invited 9 of the 10 orgs from LVP league in LoL.

It might be a good strategy for the future, and it definitely is. The problem is that it is generally not a good strategy for the present. For that you want the current best teams available right now, and they only left 1 spot available for non-invited teams to qualify. That's the sad part about all of this.

I wished they took a 50%/50% approach. This way you give more chances for talian and/or portuguese teams to qualify (if you don't invite any of them).

Wait, Vitality might be out if they don't win their next match, right?

So many maps lost during this split of VRL, they need some change apparently

purp0 has been in the scene for ages now, just not in a tier1 team yet

You wouldn't get it, apparently

Raze demon, probably why they picked him. cNed will play Jett and probably flex onto another agents on some maps (Sage, Chamber)

posted about 2 years ago

crap anchor indeed, Liquid shouldn't sacrifice Viper on Bind just to play Chamber

maybe Sova, but definitely not Viper

the same happened with 100T on Ascent before. They sacrificed Killjoy for him, he's not a proper anchor

he did it again lol

shit

Guild fucked it up today, not winning at least 1 map against G2

Looks correct to me

For real.

posted about 2 years ago

But you don't really know. It doesn't make any sense applying one set of rules for 2 team ties (e.g. Acend G2) and a completely different set of rules for 3 or more team ties (e.g. Guild Acend G2).
0 sense.

Even if you did good against some particular team, you should consider EVERY match inside the group. That's why I think map differential is way, way fairer

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly, it's a clowfiesta.

They should remove head-to-head as a tiebreaker in the case of 2 team tie.

Just make the global map differential into global round differential the tiebreaker for every circumstance and thats fucking it

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah I don't think it is a problem of players.
We saw it with keloqz as well. G2 problems always looked structural

posted about 2 years ago

I just can't get over the fact that he's still IGLing being a carry player honestly
I'd love to see him playing off agents free from IGLing

posted about 2 years ago

Nah they'd be more than happy getting 3rd

posted about 2 years ago

Known by you, that's for sure
Sleep well sweet prince

posted about 2 years ago

True, but he is stuck in a mediocre team let's be honest. G2 should build around him, specially bringing an IGL :/

Indeed, BR community pressure in a nutshell

Thank god they didn't ban zombs or starxo back in the day for br community pressures. Now LATAM isn't NA or EMEA, so fuck them I guess

Also, in a funny unexpected turn of events, Agüero streams on twitch saying that he completely disagree with Riot methodology during this drama. And Riot ask him to stay quiet.

Sadly, yes.

In order:

  • KRU-GL scrim
  • Dgzin being dgzin (huge asshole), i.e. being provocative towards KRU players (mazino)
  • Keznit reacts trying to defend his teammates and calls Dgzin CJ (GTA San Andreas) and internet bandit.
  • GL coach (shaw) go whine on twitter calling Keznit racist for his "CJ" and "internet bandit" remarks onto Dgzin. Meanwhile he shames Keznit calling him fat and mocking him.
  • Keznit defends himself saying that his intentions wasn't being racist and that be just wanted to say that Dgzin is a gangster wannabe and an asshole during scrims.
  • BR community being BR community, whines on twitter, ask Riot for punishment onto Keznit. In addition, BR community forbid KRU in their scrim ecosystem.
  • Riot punish keznit, after pressures from br community
  • KRU and Agüero (KRUs owner) agree Keznit should be punished for his offensive remarks towards Dgzin, even though both Riot and KRU think they weren't racist remarks) and ask for equal punishment for Dgzin.

I disagree tbh

At least, I want to believe that riot would try to find a solution for their players (Gambit roster). They are one of the most recognizable teams in the world. They'll try to find a solution.

posted about 2 years ago

True, riot is just waiting for things to resolve. But things aren't getting resolved anytime soon. And let's not forget riot is still a "western" company. If they think the best would be for the team to compete under a neutral banner, they probably would impose it and put the responsibility onto Gambit as an org

It's a fckd up situation for sure, but I'm sure riot ultimately wants for their players to compete.

posted about 2 years ago

IMO Acend shouldn't let cNed/Bonecold/Zeek go

They should experiment with the remainder spots if things never work again like they did before

posted about 2 years ago

Wtf where
Edit: oh ok, you mean gambit situation

posted about 2 years ago

Probably because they didn't find a solution yet

I hope gambit let them play under a neutral banner the remainder of the tournament

Where is BR scene, aside from twitter I mean

posted about 2 years ago

Do you think pyth and maxie have a chance to play? Who would Bleed bench in this case?

posted about 2 years ago

This is what happens when you have a competent IGL and a competent coach. You find the right spots for the team, and you let your team evolve. Good job from fnatics part. Many teams should learn from them, both on EMEA and outside EMEA.

posted about 2 years ago

Smokers and anchors shouldn't take the responsibility for fragging/not fragging. At least not in the same way as duelists. Just saying. Mistic was always impressive, independently of how many frags he had during Champs
