I think most people are just worried that transphobes and misogynists will use apeks failing as a chance to flame flor and blame her and pretend that with a male duelist would have done well and shit on her when the existing core wouldn’t have done great even without her

On a side note, I personally think there is a far greater connection to ranked performance and playing well in pro play in valorant as opposed to cs for an example, so I actually do believe that flor will play quite wel (this is based on previous ranked demons and their performances, as opposed to cs onliners choking on LAN)

I don’t think apeks really had the money for a different move
Flor obviously also impressed them over alternatives in trials
Additionally, the others have all proven their ceiling in tier 1, avova has been on tier 1 teams and has not looked great, hype was downright horrible the year he was on tier 1, I think Molsi looked decent but yeah, flors the unknown who we don’t know how good she is so she is getting hype

I understand where ur coming from, if a team is shit all the individual players will obviously play worse and their stats will suffer
But if apeks hits the sweet spot between utter shit and good (9th-5th) in the league then flor will likely have insane stats as a result of being setup to carry everyone (setup with utility as the duelists and having the mechanics to get the kills which her teammates can’t get)

Everyone on here is talking about why this is a bad move so let me explain the potential positive
She will prolly be the best player, and since the rest of the team is bad she will have more frags available to look individually more impressive
Examples; Aspas on loud vs lev , chronicle on gambit vs fnc, something on sg vs prx
Maybe a bit of cope but being the sole good player on the team does allow her to stand up more

I’d probably start with mistborn since storm light archive isn’t finished
I also like Sarah j Maas’s throne of glass series, but her others series have too much smut
Definitely suggest reading the og fantasy novels like Lotr if u haven’t already
Name of the Wind by Patrick rothfuss is pretty good too
Dresden files by Jim Butcher is amazing but the MC is kinda weird and the first few books are shit
