Every team tries to win 13-0 anyway, don't think anyone is going to plan to get a certain number of rounds and then throw the rest. The group is way too close on Round Difference for that to happen.

I'm not hating, I have Vitality in my pickems and think they will probs still win the series.
But everything is part of a round, just because youre better at getting the initial advantages, but then lose the round due to clutches, doesn't mean youre objectively the better team. Keeping those advantages and taking disciplined fights is equally as important.
But yeah whiffs happen, but lets not pretend LEV didn't have some unlucky moments too. Like Cenders big balls 1v4 defuse or Taco cancelling the plant on his own teammate accidentally.

You don't play better if you lose
Getting clutched means you either lost the 1v1 or lost an advantage, neither of which makes you better

The level isn't as different as you might expect tbh. A lot of people who shine in VRLs are able to shine in VCT too, look at someone like Alfajer from Split 1 in VRL to Split 2 in VCT.
