It was. People really try their hardest to scapegoat, huh.

And of course, the players are the one that chose the agents in the game client.

See #30.

I have confirmation from the TOs that it is a tournament client issue and not a production issue. Now, let's stop blaming the TOs like people somehow always do and wait.

posted 9 months ago

Right now, we just have to wait. The TOs will have an obligation to explain if this continues on and a potential postponement or other measures, but as a viewer, we just have to wait.

Complaining won't help. Being a smart ass won't help. The TOs are certainly working hard to fix the issue, but having smartasses who think they can do better won't help.

Fella, it's not from the TO- the tournament client fucking kicked everyone out. That's out of their control.

posted 9 months ago

You.... do know they are the ones who organized Challengers Indonesia for the past few years, right? The LAN in Taman Anggrek? The hype event?

posted 9 months ago

The problem right now it's not from the TO per se, but a force majeure external factor which the tournament client dying on everyone. You can do 1000 rehearsals, but something will go wrong.

posted 9 months ago

Glad it's still a unifying factor for all APAC fans haha

Client apparently kicked everyone mid match? Lmao

Hi! There were clarifications such as this exact paragraph:

While the format is yet to be announced, the playoffs will be held from July 3-16 in Shanghai, China, marking the first offline event for the region. Amongst the 12 teams, four had already qualified for the playoffs earlier based on the results of FGC Valorant Invitational: Act 1 and 2, while the rest of the participants played through a preliminary Swiss stage one month earlier in June.

And I know technically this was super late, but considering the Playoffs were coming up and it was right during the build up to Tokyo, figured an accompaniment to the official announcement from TJ Sports themselves would be better.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

TJ Sports/VSPO is a different beast. Can't really compare them when China basically got these videos down to science.

Compared to other Ascensions so far, Pacific has stepped up massively. So can't complain about tht.

posted 9 months ago

LOCK//IN counts as a full split. The explanation video last year during Champions confirms this. Next year we'll have two splits.

posted 9 months ago

Nope! They'll have a LAN in July to determine the three teams going to Champions.

Not yet! You do remember when Brazilian teams were clowned, right? Or LATAM teams? Then they made steady progress.

Same with China. Don't count them put just yet. They need to catch up like what, 3 years of other regions having international experience?

posted 9 months ago

Actually, do you know that during the team partnership application, Chinese teams were asking for Riot to be included in the Pacific League, because of the game not being out yet! They were asking! Not Riot forcing them!

But Riot knows that the publishment of the game in China would come soon, and it would be much more beneficial considering China's major potential both in and out of the game's market for them to have a separate region/league.

posted 9 months ago

But they do because China is a major region! Welcome to Riot's regional classification! Hope you enjoy your stay!

So, blaming an external issue where smth had his visa just expired just after he left Sengoku for PRX as a mid-season transfer, compared to the other Russians in EMEA who were part of the longstay main roster... mkay.

It's bait

Well. I've heard better conspiracy theories.

posted 10 months ago

I mean, the dozens of cgrs threads just proved otherwise just now; there's always those people who think they can make better decisions.

10 days of practice; and the PRX players are comfortable enough with him and vice versa.

He's a walking utility and setup provider. He's an emergency sub; he's doing his job well as that and he's giving enough support to setup for the kills and setplays.

Of course I won't doubt that

The previous version of Gen G (NTH+ONS) were rolled against EDG so I think with the lower-mid tier teams, EDG can get a win

posted 10 months ago

China is not inviting teams either; they're holding qualifiers for their representatives to Champions as well; it's where regional champions go against other regional champions to be the world champion. The logic still stands. Every tournament will have their worst and best teams. Any given match day, any team could surprise their opponents. ASE had expected themselves to be rolled over; but they grabbed 10 rounds against the Pacific runner-ups. For EDG, the stakes are higher for them since they are the returning representatives; and obviously, expectations between EDG and ASE are different.

Every team wants to be the winner; but every team wants to be realistic.

posted 10 months ago

I have my reservations on that as well but going by the logic more teams = more experience gained and the net positives will probably come once 2024 rolls in

posted 10 months ago

China will get its own league. They are catching up to 3 years of other regions having international experience.

The staff and mods are deeply saddened and all of us are impacted by Twisten's passing. We've made our post on Twitter and have shared our personal thoughts on our respective accounts; however, we still have a job to do. Removing him from Vitality's active roster, continuing to cover Valorant news all over the globe; it might seems "heartless" to some, but we are going to keep moving forward in respect.

The fact that the community posted an entire thread on VLR that surpassed 300 comments meant something; and for me personally? It was about the community, not us.

More likely he's returning to DRX Prospects/Academy. He's not listed as a 7th man, currently.

Regardless, let's make the moment a remembrance of Twisten, rather than his cause of death. Talking about what caused it won't do any better with the current situation. Let's support each other.

Hi fellas. It's a sudden and sad day, but let's refrain from any assumption in respect of the family and loved ones, please.
