They're restructuring contracts. Check the GCD now.

No, that one is in Montpellier

posted 7 months ago

Yep! They'll compete in GC East Asia.

xccurate played in a relatively consistent timeframe with early mid-high tier 2 Challengers teams between 2021 and 2022, but that's because he was still halfway between the sunset of his CSGO career and going full-time in Valorant. Even during his time with the various teams, he shows a good amount of consistency.

He was a sub for Persija and stepped in three matches where he hadn't played in a few months. Went 1-2, but consistently found himself on the top 3 of the scoreboard every time. He has talent and the drive, it's just a matter of commitment back then due to circumstances.

Still have no access to Tencent servers for now.

posted 7 months ago

Roster isn't updated just because we barely have info.

posted 7 months ago

It's just the system. Because we don't have access to the Tencent server, it's nigh impossible to get detailed stats. For now, have fun with these basic reports!

There will be invited teams from across the Pacific for the Main Event stage

AEEC is a fairly established roster, one of the oldest in APAC. I think they stayed F/A the entirety all the way too.

posted 7 months ago

AEEC is a very old and longstanding roster, probably one of the oldest not even in TW/HK but also in the entirety of Pacific (talking about competing in the Ignition Series type of thing)

I've sent my apology through DMs, and I hope he can accept it without vitriol. Not everything needs to be public.

posted 7 months ago

Absolutely. I understand where he comes from and I understand his aspirations. Everybody can build themselves off the ground and make a name.

posted 7 months ago

To be completely honest; this was after a bad academic year that left me reeling over some mistakes. Yesterday was particularly a bad time and when I saw the tweet, I just jumped into it filled with rage and vulnerability. Took a night's rest and some contemplating amongst some friends to put me back on my track.

I let my emotions get the better of me.

posted 7 months ago

Jealousy is always a start to misunderstanding, and I'm willing to confess it was a moment of self-doubt over my own skills and progress (hence my tweet about me pursuing a degree) that led to my tweet which after some time, regret in some way.

Everybody can get a start here, and I won't deny those who are willing. I know people who did. Either way, go on. Your feedback is my lesson to be learned.

Stan Kroenke strikes again.

So think of these series as an accelerated Challengers League feeding towards CN Ascension in December.

There will be three acts all with points that will qualify teams to said Ascension

posted 7 months ago

No, they probably got a reprimand behind closed doors. You'd be surprised how far it goes.

posted 7 months ago

It doesn't show in the image, but in the video, it's shown the 3rd Split of Challengers in 2024 is actually the Season 2025 start! So Challengers in 2024 will still have two splits!

I want to introduce you to a player called Ray4C.

Wording is important; framing is important. Even if a sentence or a word isn't meant for ill intent, the context it is used within the overall argument will affect its meaning.

The "guest slot" complaints is basically that. Even if it's technically a correct term– the context, the situation, and where the sentence fits into the argument; it paints the tone of the entire story.

And that's the most damaging part. It framed his argument as if he saw the Ascension teams' effort is worth barely anything.

An argument with originally no ill intent turned upside down just because of a singular word that is used in the most inopportune moment.

posted 8 months ago

Nothing wrong with calling it a guest spot, but surely there's better wording for it?

Ascension slots, Promotion slots...

Calling it just a "guest" slot makes it look like it wasn't an achievement at all to get it and undermining the effort.

I had tournament on the backlog for the past two weeks, don't worry! The problem is we still don't have access to Tencent servers and there are no VODs that we can backtrack, so it's a bit of a problem for now.

.....Kraif is still the head coach. She coaches two teams now.

THESE MATCHES ARE NOT SAFE FOR HEARTS ANYWHERE

Next year for nephh- unknown for deryeon

posted 9 months ago

No, most CN esports broadcasts for shooters also do that. It's the norm.

posted 9 months ago

The tournament client is private/CN client/Tencent so we don't have access to the API for now.

posted 9 months ago

Not that easy. The VCT residency rules only applies for VCT dual citizens, which I doubt Jemkin and Kr1stal are (and considering they haven't played in any of the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific teams)

They will have to drop one if they win Ascension most likely according to the rules.

Only Playoffs will be LAN

posted 9 months ago

You are spreading misinformation as you speak.

OFF//SEASON is the end program of every competitive year.
Ascension is the Challengers end event of every season.

posted 9 months ago

Ascension is every year. It's basically the Challengers version of Champions/Masters.

Welcome to the Chinese way of playing FPS: Raw aim aggression lol

(also add the fact TE is one of the more experienced team vs 4AM which is a low-mid tier team)

Hi, please refer to my latest post here for further clarification:

https://www.vlr.gg/post/2471453/if-scarz-in-vct-pacific

posted 9 months ago

Correct, he forgot to mention this, as also missing the fact that this is for Dual Citizens, which Jemkin and Kr1stal certainly aren't. This is the VCT Roster Construction Rule, not Challengers. That means it's only in effect for Pacific, EMEA, and Americas.

Article 2.2.4 says that if a Dual Citizen wishes to change its home country/region, they need to play at least 50% of the average regular season matches played by all participating teams in the respective league.

Bottom line: They will have to ditch either Kr1stal or Jemkin if they make it to Pacific.

posted 9 months ago

Riot typically has what is known as 'residency rules' — basically play in a region long enough and you'll count as a home region player rather than an import. The proponent of this is the LCS and the VCT rulebook does mention this, but not how a player would count as a resident (Valorant context). Jemkin and Kr1stal have been in Japan for more than 2 Challengers Splits, right? I need to dig a bit more either way to confirm

In the original case of Haven (XIA/ONE), it was them suddenly being kicked out of the server and returned back to the lobby mid-game.

In this one, it looks like the server DC'd.

posted 9 months ago

...You still need a game client application to play the actual game, right. Even when it's LAN?

posted 9 months ago

It's not just OneUp that solely hosts the event; they're just handling any of the external operations. Riot Pacific are on site as well to help, guide, and/or assist if necessary while handling anything force majeure related to internal game/tournament client, servers, etc (and some aspects of the opertions.)

posted 9 months ago

Honestly, I blame the client itself. Or if anything, at this point, I have no clue. It's such a shitty situation for both the TO and the participants.

posted 9 months ago

This is not on the production.... this is purely from the clientside.

posted 9 months ago

You wanna fact check that statement?
