absolutely is a good reason, I literally explained why. Prep work/vod review, meta, etc. are just much stronger in Valorant than in League or CS. Example: In league a lot of your prep work is set in draft pick/ban. Everything else is finding a team identity/playstyle and building synergy, drilling set game scenarios, or individual matchups. For the most part, those are things you can develop without caring about how other teams play.

In valorant, antistratting is a fundamental part of play and understanding what comps, set plays, tendencies the opposing team has can win you maps singlehandedly. It's also why 1 map games aren't indicative of how good a team is (see NRG EWC) and why rematches tend to favor the team that lost the first time around.

Let's not even get started on the fact that double elim is always more accurate at picking which team actually was the best at the tournament instead of one-off games deciding a team is finished. Or the fact that the six invitational IS DOUBLE ELIM. Stop the cope

agent composition and map selection are part of what makes double elim central to valorant tourney format. League has agent select but one map. CS has map select but no agents. With the many variables at play prep work, anti stratting, and meta are much bigger factors than other esports.

this is revisionism Wolves was not playing anywhere near as well as they are now. Lotus was especially bad considering Lysoar was playing terribly (died to viper molly on exec, body blocked teammate into another viper molly), Juicy had shit timings on floods/execs (particularly with satchels and rozas), and SiuFat pi'd and finished with 5 kills. THAT version of Wolves still 2-0d Heretics. Not to mention the fact that if you're losing duels AND messing up strats clearly you don't deserve to win anyways, that's practically what the entire game is based on anyways

respectfully PRX's chokes on map 1 and (almost) map 3 were the only reason it was close. That version of PRX overheated every time they hit 12 rounds and the game wasn't close.
