Pearl is literally PRX best map rn, and EG is good on split.

posted 8 months ago

Bro...EG would never in a million years ban split over pearl against PRX. Also, it's a coin flip for the choice since both teams come from upper brackets in groups.

posted 8 months ago

They played Haven once this year and have been first banning it ever since. Whatever they have on Haven if anything at all, is clearly not good. Or at the very least they must believe it's their weakest map by a considerable margin enough to keep banning first every time.

PRX literally anti-stratted EDG on Fracture by exploiting them through drop on Attack. They aren't as reliant on it as a lot of other teams, but they do have some idea of how to counter opponents.

It doesn't matter how good EG's fracture is because you know your fracture is good enough to give you a chance to win. Whereas Haven is a massive question mark, which is why I could be super wrong. But I think PRX believes they'll have a better chance on a map where one, they know they're good at, and two, EG has a good amount of footage on.

posted 8 months ago

What? EG's isn't really that good at Lotus, DRX just isn't that good either. They're definitely better at Split and they've literally banned Lotus. Also, your assumption is that PRX just auto-loses Fracture, but that's not how games work. Sure, EG has the best fracture but picks and bans are about assessing risk, and PRX might feel like they have a better chance on fracture than Haven.

EG has a lot of footage of their fracture, thus giving you things to anti-strat. Whereas their Haven has relatively low footage, and their form on that map is unknown. This really just comes down to how PRX feels about their Haven which I can't know for sure of course, but if they do not feel confident enough on it, I don't see why they'd pick it. Also also, fracture not being their top 2 maps doesn't mean much when your map pool is good. PRX fracture is still really good, and they could definitely beat EG on it if they're feeling it.

posted 8 months ago

I don't see why EG would ban Split instead of Lotus, they've literally first or second banned Lotus a few times this event. Also, I doubt PRX would actually ban Fracture considering their fracture is pretty good, and they probably feel much more at risk leaving Haven open, even against EG.

FNC were considered favorites and nobody expected anything from FUT anyway. Also, FUT literally just had to beat T1 to make it playoffs that's it lol.

The reason people say shitmea is because EMEA has consistently been underperforming all year as a region and getting bailed out by FNC. There's literally no argument against this if you look at the collective results of the teams from each region at international LAN's. Like EMEA sent 5 teams to masters and only 2 made it through, each other region did so with fewer slots.

posted 8 months ago

lol, how do you see it then?

posted 8 months ago

LOUD played DRX (Top 6), FNC (Top 4), and PRX (Top 3). Like bro, give it up lol. NAVI doesn't have to be good to make this run hard, it already is. That being said, NAVI played pretty well all things considered.

Ban 1:
EG - Bind
PRX - Haven

Map Picks:
EG - Fracture
PRX - Pearl

Ban 2:
EG - Lotus
PRX - Ascent

Map 3: Split

Bro Yoru doesn't need that much of a buff, he just requires too much time to learn and coordinate with the team to unlock his full potential. Yoru is actually highly underrated, and if used right he can be pretty good.

posted 8 months ago

Yeah true, but at the same time replay that series between, FNC and EG, but EG gets the bans, and tell me FNC 3-0's again. FNC doesn't have Lotusl, is forced to play Pearl, and EG has fracture, that swing is crazy.

posted 8 months ago

The problem isn't with the players, it's with the coaches and leadership behind the team. Someone just needs to remind them why they're good because it sometimes feels like they forget what they do well. Also, they could probably use a team psychologist if they don't, because damn, all those 5-6 finishes and chokes, cannot feel good mentally.

  1. NAVI
  2. FNC

All the other ranks don't matter

posted 8 months ago

PRX with a sub, took two maps off a finals team, tf you mean it won't be close?

posted 8 months ago

PRX
EG
SEN

HM: T1

posted 8 months ago

Am I the only one who thinks they'll just put Benkai back as a starter?

posted 8 months ago

Bro DRX need to hire someone who's sole job is to make sure whenever DRX plays fracture, they put Rb on neon.

This quote is too good lmao

posted 8 months ago

L NRG got double swept by CN's second team lmao

posted 8 months ago

It's actually funny how I literally went to bed right after posting that comment.

posted 8 months ago

Bro thinks PRX flairs care lol. Have fun losing to a no igl team lmao.

posted 8 months ago

lmao, bro believes EMEA is gonna be good soon.

posted 8 months ago

Yeah, but FNC has literally no match experience on the map, and they clearly do not want to play it. If FNC is only perma-banning it, they know it's their weakness.

posted 8 months ago

FNC has legit only first banned Pearl, they clearly do not want to play that map. I'm sure they have some idea of what they want to play in the event they are forced to play it, but they definitely don't want to play it. This is their major weakness and it is not up for debate. They have no map experience on it which is massive, even for FNC.

posted 8 months ago

Ok and? The point could be applied to any scenario, but the likelihood matters here too. FNC just aren't likely to win Pearl against any good pearl team.

posted 8 months ago

Sure it's prepped, but it's their perma-ban for a reason. If they felt like it was a good map for them, it would not be their perma-ban. Also, scrims don't equal match experience, and even if it did, the map still won't be as good as their other maps. Also, FNC only ban Pearl, even against EG they wouldn't ban anything else.

posted 8 months ago

who tf believes that? If anything Loud is favored after their performance against FNC, granted not by much probably, but still.

posted 8 months ago

Map-wise:
PRX bans: Haven Lotus
PRX: Pearl
FNC: Split
PRX: Ascent
FNC: Fracture
PRX: Bind

PRX is favored in the map pool or a similar map pool.

posted 8 months ago

That doesn't really matter because they haven't played it in a match. They have no map experience on it, and if it were really that good, it wouldn't be their perma-ban. They obviously have something planned for it, but it must not be very good.

posted 8 months ago

I agree, but because of the map bans in the grand finals. They'll be forced to play pearl and any good ascent team could be them there. That just leaves one more map needed to win, which any top team could find it.

posted 8 months ago

FNC literally have one of the best Havens wtf

It's just cope to find a reason why their favorite team didn't win, or why a team they hate, won. Ignore it, every team won fair and square.

posted 8 months ago

Bro stop, I was at the first giants vs edg game, and the crowd was literally just edg fans. It's just NA fans cheering for an NA team, at an event in NA.

posted 8 months ago

? They were literally chanting USA

posted 8 months ago

DRX 2 - 0 BLG
EG 2 - 1 EDG

posted 8 months ago

d4v41 and boostio are deffo not the worst on their team. Also, pancada and buzz are debatable, but pancada is fair ig.

A more accurate team is probably:

Tacolilla
saadhak
C0M
pancada
mindfreak

Feels like it balances out to mid lol

posted 8 months ago

No loud is a South American team. NA and SA are sub-regions of Americas. So for Americas they're together, but otherwise they are different regions.

posted 8 months ago

I don't get what's the big deal, so what people cheer more for fnc than loud? It's really not that deep lol. Maybe people are just excited to see FNC play smh.

The lack of self-awareness is unreal

posted 8 months ago

Ok and? Any of those teams could pop off and win. PRX placed top 3 with a sub, and DRX placed third at last year's champs. Either of those teams could break through and win.

posted 8 months ago

cap DRX, PRX, EDG. Try again lol

posted 8 months ago

Nah, it's just loud is good lol.

posted 8 months ago

These are some boring ass comps fr, this is why we need PRX to stay good smh.

posted 8 months ago

The fracture hate is crazy, that map is underrated. It's something different, and it's fun to both watch and play.

posted 8 months ago

I don't hate this move. The core is stacked with talent, and if Marved can improve as an IGL, SEN could be dangerous next year.

posted 8 months ago

yeah, DRX just beat LOUD, and peak DRX is better than peak EG.

posted 9 months ago

I never said 13-11 was the same as 13-1, I'm saying close maps don't mean that much if you can't win. You can play a ton of teams close but if you can't win games you lack the ability to finish games, which is what separates good teams from great teams.
