I’m worried about DRX if they end up in the lower bracket. Last time they were doing fine until they got boomed after losing a close game against OpTic, which is why they later lost to Zeta. If they lose again to OpTic, I could see the same thing happening, with FPX and LEV both being teams that have experience against DRX and may be able to now read them, since rematches tend to go in favor of the team that lost beforehand.
I think whether DRX win this event or not heavily depends on if they beat OpTic. Hopefully the boys can pull through.

Northeption are the proven best
Damwon on paper have the best roster after the rebuild
ONS could be good but we don’t know their current roster
Maru are technically the 2nd best KR team but I think momentum had a lot to do with their run
KONE and Reject are bad in my opinion and CR got destroyed by NTH
EDG are the biggest question mark going in, they have the best aim but poor team play. Since they’ve been rumored to be doing well in scrims, I’d rate them at 3rd best

Jinggg has mandatory military service, f0rsaken wants a higher salary closer to that of NA teams, and some people were saying that Benkai may retire. The organization won’t make it into franchising whether they stick together or not.

FaZe also don’t exactly have the greatest image as an organization over the past few years though, which Riot care a lot about

If Gen.G get a slot over DRX or Damwon, I'm going to be pissed. They've actually been one of the most frustrating orgs to watch over the past year since they've done literally nothing and wasted tons of money. They get no viewership playing their T2 tournaments in NA and won't invest in KR, even though it would be cheaper than signing a bunch of NA paycheck stealers. At least an organization like T1 has been making the right moves recently, but Gen.G is just wasting money.

This pretty much confirms that Riot are looking for viewership over all. The SR roster has been a consistent top eight roster, the org itself is loaded, and they have one of the best GC teams in the world, yet didn't get the slot.
