GE hype is programmed into the site.

Bro decided he has to somehow go to Korea even if it meant signing up with GE.

I feel like I am talking to an Idiot.

I would 100% play as an amateur instead of playing professionally for 40K because esports is still not a proper industry yet and I would focus on acads to get a proper job instead of joining an org for 40K, forced to practice as much as I can and essentially throwing away any chances of getting any other jobs and just dropped in 4-5 months after which my career is destroyed and I have no ways to earn money.

Just look at Kohli, who played in T3 teams in India, got signed as a sub in GE and still his career is not on the right track. If GE releases him, and he does not find a good team his career is ruined. Thankfully he is still young and can probably get his acads together but not everyone has that luxury. I cannot count how many people I have seen give it all for esports, get signed for small salaries and get dropped only to find they have no source of income after that.

Also, these T3 teams are not even owned by orgs in India or abroad. No org will spend money on T3 teams. They are just amateur groups or just a collection of friends.

1) Mention that $500 is your in hand salary beforehand and benefits are included separately. It's the least that you should do when talking about salaries especially when most companies include benefits and other stuff in your total salary.

2) Yes, they won't get 40K a month forever, in fact, 99% of them will be making 0Rs from esports after 4-5 months. Only the top players will get any raises or be picked up by actually good orgs. Also, what is your obsession with Amateur orgs? Orgs like True Rippers and RGE where not even proper orgs 2 years ago. Nobody wants to play for them and True Rippers has already faced a lot of drama regarding player salaries. There are barely 3-4 proper orgs in India and they pay their players very well. Half of these orgs have defaulted on player salaries for a good 2-3 months or more lol.

3) Players barely have a career of 5-6 years in esports. In these 5-6 years you must earn whatever you can and use that for the rest of your life as you are not gonna get another job anyways and if you don't have a good fanbase you cannot even make money streaming.

4) As I mentioned before, a nobody player who has nothing but raw talent can play as an amateur. That is how people do it around the world. 40K is barely a decent salary, I could earn around 20K if I participated in Amateur tournaments only as a Diamond ranked player. There are so many college tournaments with 30K-1 lack Rs prize pool happening every month. What is even the point of playing for 40K when you are a high immortal or radiant player?

5) Do not confuse Amateur orgs with actual professional orgs. RGE has only started as a proper org and True Rippers is not there yet. They don't even have proper contracts and shady stuff is going on all the time. So I don't know why you are talking about these. The only proper orgs in India is GE, some PUBG mobile orgs like OG and Enigma. Even VLT is not a proper org, it's just a side venture by a rich businessman who does not care about profitability.

$500 is very close to the tax bracket set by the govt for 10% on any income above 2.5 lacks a year. You might get rebates if you fell in the 5% bracket.

If you include bonuses or tournament winnings and stuff you easily exceed the minimum tax bracket of 5 lacks a year.

At least do some research before posting such shit.

Anadi army is not even a proper org wtf? It's an amateur org at best, getting some money for playing esports on the side is just like getting some extra pocket change. Anadi army does not even have a proper website or socials like bro what are you smoking? I myself have played in amateur tournaments from my college and earned around 7K and I have never even hit ascendant. This was when I was doing a full time engineering degree and focussed on that instead of Valorant. Also don't act like you are the only guy over here who knows salaries. A lot of times the players just give hints in the streams. Most pros in tier 1-2 orgs in India get paid much more than 40K a month.

Most importantly I bet you have not even done taxes once in your life or have basic financial literacy given the fact you genuinely believe $500 is a good salary in Mumbai.

PRX abuse KJ themselves.

Brand deals only come to a select few players. Only 1-2 players from top 2-3 Indian orgs have brand deals.

Have you never heard of the term "package" offered by companies or CTC? If the org offers all these benefits then they will deduct it from your CTC. You will get only the remaining amount. First, understand how salaries are structured then make such comments. The salary that hits your bank account is much smaller than what your "CTC" is. This includes everything from housing to food to ESOPs to RSUs, provident funds, insurance etc.

40K is not impossible to live on, it is possible yes, and many people live on it but it's generally considered as a lower-middle class in big cities like Mumbai. Also, considering the fact that esports pros are like top 0.1% of their field they should be paid well to live a comfortable life.

Just imagine the amount of hate they get and the efforts they put in. Compared to most STEM jobs, they are facing far greater problems and put in much more effort. A decent engineer fresher in India can easily make 40K - 150K a month. They will work till 55-60 years and then retire giving them extra time to save up for retirement compared to 30 at which most esports pros retire. Do you not realize that to sustain a good life they need to earn much more than normal people?

What will a person spend money on? Let me know if the org is willing to buy you your next smartphone. Let me know if your org is willing to buy the flight ticket back home after the competitive season is over (GE does AFAIK for some cases, most others don't). Tell me they will pay for your clothes and shoes. You are acting like food and shelter are the only expenses for a human being. What is the difference between humans and cattle in that case?

1 BHK apartment in Mumbai will cost you 14-15K around the area where Bootcamps are set up. Add utilities and groceries and you easily exceed 25K. You could hypothetically live far away and have a cheap apartment but keep in mind most people who will be good would also come from upper-middle-class families cause they can afford high-end PCs and gaming gear in India. Living in such an apartment would be a direct downgrade to their living standards.

Then you will have to buy your own stuff and maybe go out for a while. After all these expenses you basically get 0 savings. Also, I am not even counting tax and other deductions.

A good rule of thumb for freshers is to save at least 50% of their salary. Save 30% for monetary goals and 20% for retirement. In esports where people are forced to retire at really young ages, you have to earn and save even more. Here 50% of your money will go down just in rent.

A very poor economic decision to make for teenagers given the fact that they are most probably ignoring their undergraduate degrees/high school so they will not find any jobs once their esports career is over.

what interests me is why he is specifically mentioning alliance broadband.

Maybe in villages, $500 is a bit less for most people living in cities. $1000 is the salary where a comfortable life starts.

Jonas Dickrider?

I still don't understand what your point is.

What you suggested in post #115 is clearly dumb and like shooting yourself in the foot.

Also he does have the balls to clearly stand up against Jonas. How else do you think he is supposed to do this? Can an average person really contact Jonas on demand? He could either tweet it and tag him, or make a post on the largest valorant discussion forum there is. Same shit.

posted about a year ago

I don't know if that's really the best thing to do.

If a random guy speaks up against a genuinely shitty content creator, fans like you will crawl up and harass the person for months.

He spoke out what he had on his mind and Average Jonas did notice. Either defend yourself or accept your mistake. Don't send fans to defend you cause that is a really shitty thing to do.

posted about a year ago

I don't know why people love to shit on popular people on this site but as soon as they get noticed, they fall back.

The original thread was so supportive of Seiz and now everyone is shitting on the person.

Stand your ground people. If you think Average Jonas is not cool, stand by it. If you let him off this one time, people with really shitty personalities will start misusing this fact.

Was always a top SEA duelist, barely made it to one international event. He did nothing at champs, came back home, and is still one of the top duelists in SEA.

I don't think anything really changed for him.

You cannot blame the simulator though. SkRossi has godly stats where he plays and the same is true for Monyet and WRONSKI.

So if the sim works on past data and stats, it makes sense that GE would beat C9.

Justice in India takes time. Just because we are angry does not mean the judge will skip all proceedings and convict the suspects.

There are cases which are stuck for decades. This only took a few years. Much faster than other cases so far.

Nothing is clear as day in the court. Don't bring your emotions into this. Let the proceedings happen naturally.

A lot of things appear clear as day to us and quick judgement leads to stuff like mob lynching which is as bad as Nirbhaya.
