100% chemistry issues.

C0M has great comms (hahAA), is a decent fragger, and has been with the core longer.

I think natank was the most talented player on the roster, but retaining the identity of the team is more important than keeping your import.

No point in starting from basically square one before split 1 starts.

If this guy mostly plays duelist/flash initiator then it'll be -something or -jinggg more than likely.

Famsii is a good player, hope he makes a more permanent jump to Tier 1.

How tf does Enzo top frag on literally ANY team????

That's like having FNS top frag on a Challengers team

Honestly not as many great teams right now as there has been in the past, I definitely felt like 2023 had a better start.

However, I think the top 4 placements from this tourney were all contenders for the title. Plus the grand final went to OT in the 5th map, so it's not like it was a blowout.

Overall didn't get to watch a lot of maps live, but Masters Toronto will be better for me in that sense. Seemed like we got a high level of play and a good showcase for the new meta in terms of agent/map pool this tournament.

Depends on which meteor/izu show up.

Peak T1 > Peak G2, but typical everyday G2 beat T1 if it wasn't grand final.

Hopefully 3-2 G2, bias apparent.

Say you haven't watched NA valorant for 2 years without saying it

posted 5 months ago

No suygetsu ;_;

Nvm, but id still say a for him imo

posted 5 months ago

I feel like they lose vs. Vitality, beat T1 in lowers, and then the vitality/edg match up in lower finals is anyone's game, depends on momentum, which a G2 from lower bracket would have over a team that could have made the final in their previous series.

Definitely easiest pair of duelists to combine abilities with, except maybe iso+raze.

They compliment each other's abilities well. Yoru flashes can be thrown at range to set iso up, iso can decay for yoru to TP.

posted 5 months ago

Nah.

In a pro match Yoru's kit is goated. Also only now becoming meta means there isn't played out ways of countering set plays.

I don't think they even played each other in 2024. Loud was pretty garbage, didn't really qualify to anything.

posted 5 months ago

I think it's good the foxy joined Gen G, it kind of feels like he was in the same spot that beyn is in now. Lots of people in and out of the roster, if I was on the team, I feel like you never know when your spot is safe.

posted 5 months ago

T1 have been looking worse and worse. DRX > and EDG > over T1.

SEN always have a random shot at qualifying. Stacked with talent, but it really comes down to them having their shit together in terms of fundamentals

posted 5 months ago

This is the best GE roster we've had at least. Crazy how they got all the PH talent instead of TS

posted 5 months ago

I feel like they always have the best teamwork in EMEA outside of fnatic, but they've never had the firepower to make a deep run at a masters/Champs imo

posted 5 months ago

SEN have looked less and less consistent as kickoff went on, and not a great start to Bangkok.

Could easily see TL upsetting, but let's be clear, it would still be an upset. Really depends if N4rrate and/or Bang show up imo.

'Lowkey'

Someone get the slang sheriff.

posted 5 months ago

Flexible in the sense that he could only play jett.

Would have been cool to see him compete in a meta where chamber/yoru were viable in VCT again.

posted 5 months ago

I'm not a huge fnatic fan, but he's been pretty awful on fnatic. Obviously a huge downgrade from Leo though, what can you do.

Imo CS2 is easier to watch than Val, and I also think it's more impressive watching coordinated nades than it is to watch the same happen in Val (most of the time).

Main thing that has CS2 had going for it in terms of competition is volume of tournaments, and far more top tier teams that fade in and out as times goes by. Val has constantly changing metas, the same number of teams, with players changing in the off season.

Cs2 = consistent meta(s), and wide variety of teams
Val = a variety of metas, but a limited amount of teams.

Liquid improved a lot from their off season games. Keiko looks like one of the best players in EMEA rn.

posted 5 months ago

So there's a report of a verbal agreement. We have to wait and see who they'll drop.

posted 5 months ago

Im confused, no updates on their social media / natank's Twitter

Who said he's been dropped?

posted 5 months ago

Imo rankers will be picked apart for talent. Idrt they have all the support they need to win NA VCL & Ascension.

As much as I love m80, they 100% have a weaker roster than last year.

TSM is actually looking really good w/ their new Pickups.

Vitality would be the easiest answer ig

Trexx blasphemy must not go unpunished.

posted 5 months ago

It's the top 2 teams from every region. If each region is competitive, every team should be able to make a run.

posted 5 months ago

I actually think the two weakest teams in attendance will be Trace, Team Liquid, maybe T1 if meteor doesn't show up.

If olofmeister is any lesson, carpal tunnel doesn't go away.

Best thing players can do (preemptively) is playing on a higher lower sensitivity and adjusting, as the repetition of micro-adjustments worsens symptoms. Longer glides = better

You can't control the weapons people use in comp either

Just play TDM if you don't want to get OP'd/spammed by an odin and want different gun rounds

Dm is and honestly has been fine. It's just practice, don't treat it as something more than that.

Both of these players are the most consistent on their respective teams

No flashback, no getting out of groups at Champs

No smoggy, no winning a round when KK loses his opening duel

Ah, makes sense.

Crazy to see Cortezia's HS% stats, in that case.

posted 6 months ago

As someone who enjoyed the vast array of teams that were title contenders from EMEA pre-franchising, the standard of play and individual level brought to games during franchising has plummeted.

Not much of an exaggeration.

posted 6 months ago

Crazy take.

Ik it isn't counter-strike, but it's crazy to me that 30% is 'too high', while around 50% is the expected average in cs2.

Yes, 7/20 is bad, regardless of HS%, but if someone gets 25 kills in a map, below 150 adr, and has an abysmal HS%, I'd assume they're just baiting/trading. Yeah, important fundamental, but anyone could do it, at least at the pro level.

posted 6 months ago

First season watching valorant?

posted 6 months ago

Agreed.

Demon1 has better aim, imo, but aspas is better at getting kills consistently, better agent pool, and honestly just seems more vocal.

Idk how any duelist can get signed to a VCT franchise and only play 1 agent in that class.

GE is the new pinoy org.

PapiChulo is the goat.

posted 6 months ago

It costs more money to re-sign players like derke (after his individual performance last season esp.), yay (post-2022 season), and others with a proven track record, than signing a promising talent from T2.

I'd guess that signing kaajak from apeks was still cheaper than re-signing derke. eSports players have relatively short careers on average, I honestly would encourage all of them to go for that bag if they aren't big on streaming, going to events, et cetera.
