I wouldn’t ‘beat’ (physical abuse) my child because they have poor sleep habits.

Thinking like this is why CPS is a thing, and why people should have kids when they’re damn well ready (ie use protection until you want to have kids with a partner)

You’re justifying shitty, lazy, incompetent parenting.

I feel like it would have been okeanos, just because he’s been super cracked for the past year straight across a bunch of different agents.

But all the players named here are def solid.

Nightz is super inconsistent

posted 2 months ago

Well served take

We even see the double duelist w/ Iso on Haven tons, with some players still opting to play it on pearl.

posted 2 months ago

Definitely not a duelist player anymore. He’s too slow.

IMO he needs to be taken off the pedestal and work with ppl who see him as a normal player, not a god from ‘23.

Yay showed he can still hang with the best in Americas, hard to believe they also qualified for Toronto. I think demon1 could do the same, but he’s gotta have people he can trust who around. Seems too squeamish to work w/ strangers professionally.

posted 2 months ago

Only upgrade here is Natank. Grubinho and Sheldon’s were both solid.

I also don’t like Filu as a duelist, and Flyuh hasn’t really shown he can IGL.

Half a rebuild ig. Glhf, see you at relegation

posted 2 months ago

If you’re just looking at stats, then yeah, it could be cryo #3, but G2 doesn’t rely on their duelist to top frag and clutch. Leaf, Trent, and Valyn can all do that, and jawgemo has been the tip of the spear for them. Just different perspectives on how to utilize your duelist

posted 2 months ago

IMO they went for him because he’s Agro w/ obvious mechanical talent.

He doesn’t have to be a world-beater, just on a level similar to icy on G2 or Kamo on TL, jawgemo on G2, et cetera. Get his FKs and make space, and he’s a great T1 duelist.

Their main problem this season is the duelist identity crisis they’ve been having. Demon1 wasn’t agro enough, and kingg couldn’t IGL while playing yoru. Hopefully between Sato, Okeanos, and Tex, they have enough consistent firepower.

posted 2 months ago

Wasn’t saying Verno was wrong to feel that.

FNS hasn’t shown a top level (in terms of calling) since the pre-franchising era. At least he was fairly clutch back then, but still wasn’t a great fragger at all.

posted 2 months ago

Wish you had a flag so I could arrange a wellness check.

Who hurt you homie?

posted 2 months ago

More like they both played duelist before, and instead of putting either of them on duelist, their established roles, they fit them in to accommodate for other players

Like idek in what world you would have skrossi on Jett and t3xture on the KJ.

And then the same shit happened this year with UdoTan.

Just get this org out of franchising. I’d rather seeing another KR org/team atp

posted 2 months ago

Because it’s worked so well for kru…..

posted 2 months ago

Probably the other way around. The sale of players would, theoretically, help them stay around longer. Much more likely they’re broke broke and are just trying to get out clean. We may see other players get signed, who knows.

So many cracked ruskis on bottom of the barrel franchise teams rn

They’re way better than FUT and NaVi in terms of consistency imo

Easy 3rd place

posted 2 months ago

Cuz fns hated the fact that Verno didn’t respect him as a player.

Sounded like trexx had beef with 1-2 players on the roster in terms of the direction they wanted to go in. I agree, they’re worse now, and while cyv0ph has been great, he has so much less experience than trexx, just to be as good in terms of shooting.

In regards to who’s better, crashies or trexx, they have different strengths. Crashies could fit in with just about any English speaking team, with good fundamentals/util, and alright in terms of fragging. His comms definitely aren’t as clear, they’re two pretty different personalities.

posted 2 months ago

Franchising happened because orgs want stability, and you don’t get that in an open circuit.

If that was still the case, we would see orgs drop and re-sign new rosters at a moment’s notice. There’d be less investment and player support, less job security, and probably a number of other factors (I.e. negotiating contracts).

I agree that the open circuit era led to a more competitive landscape, and that some orgs are lazy compared to others, which has resulted in stagnant or outright bad rosters.

NRG: +potter for HC

Or if we’re talking players, then it gets so much harder. They need an IGL who can shoot, and do the former to an okay level. FNS has basically been giving mediocre calls while looking like a bot on screen. So ig the obvious hypothetical picks would be:

+johnqt
+valyn

And the less, more viable option imo would be steal kingg from lev. They did, however, just drop Rossy, so I don’t see them letting go of kingg.

And then if those options fell through, Mitch from c9, and then vora from TSM.

e: goes without saying that I think rossy would be a big gamble for IGL atp. I think he can thrive mechanically, but he won’t ever do it while IGLing a tier 1 team.

posted 2 months ago

I thought the post was about making your team better? 🤔🤔🤔

posted 2 months ago

Zellsis has been a great player for them though. He’s been one of the best vyse/ viper players this split

posted 2 months ago

Have we gotten word on their replacement for Mikes yet? IMO it’ll be the deciding factor for how well either IGLs.

IMO Chet was a pretty lazy coach his last year in VCT, definitely was put into a HC spot with help from the OG envy core. Only reason I say that is bc I don’t think he helped much in developing Ethan as an IGL.

So, I think if the right coach (Bonkar again? Potter?) stepped to help him use the reins, it could work. He mid rounded on EG plenty alongside Boostio.

posted 2 months ago

Given your username I think ur an EG stan

posted 3 months ago

It really doesn’t. You can put any dork in front of a camera, have them take 10k photos, edit the better pics, and post it, and you have the aesthetic of ‘aura’ or anything you want.

Only marketing relevance here is orgs using the term aura on social media (for the braindead TikTok users) and watching people fight over who has and does not have Aura.

posted 3 months ago

Have you watched NRG games? Reputation for ability and actual ability are two different things. There is no evidence to support the idea that he’s still a top tier IGL.

And let’s not act like there isn’t IGLs who can call AND frag out, like Valyn, king, etc

posted 3 months ago

Absolute craziness since that mf got scouted (to a farely garbage org att) by CLG at like, 15 or 16.

posted 3 months ago

We’ll probably never something akin to a ‘grand slam’ in valorant. We also don’t have enough super teams with consistent cores, nor star duelists who have been consistent over time (maybe Aspas or Derek?). Zywoo is basically the prince of CS, his longevity might just blow s1mple out of the water. We have to see a few more years of VCT (that has far fewer events than cs) before we see someone as phenomenal.

posted 3 months ago

1st year of franchising: 0-8 in the regular season
2nd year of franchising: great in regular season but couldn't maintain form in playoffs
3rd year: vamonos

posted 3 months ago

Why? Ethan and FNS have known each other for like, and entire decade, same goes for s0m.

Based on the vlog they released explaining why they dropped verno/bonkar, they praised Mada (who was also VERY quiet during the video) for being a 'good rookie' then scapegoating verno.

Ethan/s0m don't want to win, they want to get paid.

posted 3 months ago

Someone's making a move to VCT, surely.

posted 3 months ago

Yeah, that was probably one of the best international rosters in Asia. Juicy was underage at the time, both him and neph ended up doing their military service before each of them joined CN teams.

Sadge.

posted 3 months ago

Kicks has stepped it up a lot since trexx left though

posted 3 months ago

I hope the new pickups make a difference. Mid-season transfers are rarely a vote of confidence, especially for GX

posted 3 months ago

Good player, but has been abysmal in this team.

He needs to go back to T2 and grind on a role he's comfortable on.

posted 3 months ago

100% signed governor cuz he was cheap, possibly to integrate flor into the roster better.

Either/or, 2nd worst team to ascend, after BLEED (wish we saw the actual ascension lineup compete), maybe 2G

Downvoted for truth. They sacrificed their best ult against 5 classics. While down a map.

This is a young team, they need a coach who is going to make good calls. At least crws farmed ult points, but they could have done that same thing with regular tejo util.

posted 3 months ago

Odd. That view is going to change over time. He's a good agent for OPing. Also for entrying, its just a matter of mastering timings w/ abilities, not movement.

Getting downvoted by Tejo one tricks

posted 3 months ago

Lmfao at s1mon throwing shade at smoggy, to then just get told that smoggy is a better player who's expectations different.

Idk if s1mon deserves all the hate he's getting from the CN community, but even if he's in the right, it seems like he's burned some bridges on the team (with actual players as well as management).

We also need to discuss how weird it would've been to see s1mon on Yoru

posted 3 months ago

Okay but f0rsaken can play any role better than most players. There are way better players than jingg on bad teams atm

posted 3 months ago

NRG seems like it's ran by eboys

posted 3 months ago

We have to see what the rest of their map pool is like after what I think are permanent changes to their comps.

I really hope we don't see sage on split again. It's just too one dimensional at this point in the agent pool

posted 3 months ago

Nah FR. Especially after how he went after him so passively post kick off.

I don't even think there's actual evidence that showed FNS was ever a good caller. 100% not in the last two years, and it seems like he's actually worsened as far as his mechanics go.

Maybe I'm just a hater, but I hope we have less entitled 'veterans' of VCT, and more people who prove they deserve to be there week by week. Way too many irrelevant names from 2+ years ago that can't compete now.

Also, I started watching Ethan when that kid was like 16, first joining CLG in CS, and he just seems like a douchebag now.

Get these frauds out, keep Mada, build a roster without a superiority complex.

posted 3 months ago

And why do you feel that way?

Seems like Chinese teams change players on the off chance that the whole team will suddenly become better with <1 month practice.

Seems to me most pacific teams are treating valorant as a business, and they tend to weigh out roster transfers with their finances.

Tl;dr - Chinese teams have less patience for roster development, leading to less good teams (long-standing rosters like EDG, BLG, Trace) ; APAC orgs are not breaking the bank for blockbuster signings without the revenue being apparent.

Meanwhile, 100T & C9 broke the bank for players like cryo, yay at the start of franchising -- hasn't turned out great for them.

Ironically c9 now run budget rosters and put more time into improving the team. Wouldn't surprise me if they made more money with this philosophy in mind as well.

And before someone talks about T1 putting a super team together, that's exactly it, a super team that can tourneys, while also leading south Koreans massive val fanbase.

Now we need the link

I'm way too interested in this.

Speaks more to the lack of actual on stage experience left on the roster than mismanagement. At least we're not looking at a bunch of 30 year olds on stage anymore.

Firing WarBirds was such a mistake for this team imo. Especially with a new IGL in 2GE, they need someone with experience and is good at minimizing mistakes
