grabbing source now, just looking through the stream.

From what Wardell said yesterday on stream. They want to win this qualifier. From the sounds of it. He wants to go and try and win it all. So while they might be trying things, they are absolutely trying to win, or at least Wardell is lol. Basically a redemption arc for the year it sounded like.

LCQ is around October according to Liquidpedia. So by then at the lastest. Maybe we can see them play in some smaller tournaments if they’re up for it.

I have to agree. It’s an attack sided map. But allowing Link to get into that flank position round after round is what did them in IMO. What a game though. Sad to see one of them go, but at least it was a 5 map banger.

Definitely the best rivalry in Valorant at the moment, at least in my opinion. They are destined to battle each other for eternity. Wish it could have at least been in playoffs for a spot at Berlin. But not gonna complain, it’s entertaining to watch.

Again, a lower bracket qualifier pulling in more views than the majority of play in matches of the first CSGO LAN in years. With hardly any co streams right now, just counting official channels on twitch, youtube, and different language streams it’s over 100K.
And again, I don’t understand your purpose here if all your here to do is shit on Valorant cause it lives rent free in your head. I enjoy CSGO, but don’t go stretching the true about co streams when it was CSGO that started the trend with Gaules.

Both games can live together. Go back to HLTV. You don’t need to go to Valorant forums to defend your glorious marketplace, I mean game.

Lower bracket final of not even the play offs. The co-stream excuse died when CSGO did the same thing in Cologne. Like you realize this is more views than a majority of the play in matches at cologne right? Plus the other 20K people watching on YouTube. 100K viewers for a lower bracket game of a qualifier…. Nothing to scoff at. You obviously don’t like Valorant from your posts, why are you even here?

Congrats TSM! T1 fan, but this fun they've been on has been incredibly entertaining. They now got at least 40 VCT points, which still might not be enough but it huge for their LCQ chances. Hope they do well in Playoffs.

Amazon I know for sure has them

I do agree. But like I said, line ups aren't as powerful as they used to be with the nerfs to Viper molly and Sova Ult, it's being used less and less in pro play. It's still obviously there. I just think with it already going away slowly as well as Riot being aware of the meta. Something like making utility less effective just cause spike is planted seems like an solution that is overkill and might just cause other issues.

There's an Icebox rework coming. Which is probably the most post meta map. So am curious how the rework goes before doing something like this. This just seems like a last resort kind of fix, not something to use on a meta that is already slowly on its way out.

posted about 2 years ago

Personally I wouldn't like this. IMO Post Plant also isn't as good as it once was and will probably just get weaker over time. The nerf to Viper's molly has done a bit to help fight the post plant, same with making Sova's Ult 8 points. Some more small changes like this, as well as Kay/O getting into the meta more, plus new agents. I just think your fix it a bit too extreme for something that is already on it's way out slowly.

Yeah, he's killing it on Envy. Doing incredibly well. Not to say he hasn't had bad sets, but overall he's done well IMO. I should mention he's not gonna be in my top 10 overall. But I think when you factor in the competition Envy is going against compared to T1, I would put him slightly above him. If I put together a list in more than 1 minutes it obviously would have people better than Marved. Was just people that came to mind. Can understand if people disagree, he had it rough in FaZe.

posted about 2 years ago

He's not in my top 10. TenZ, Wardell, Asuna, Marved, Corey, PureR, Shawn, Shahzam, Sick, gMD, Nature, in no particular order are better that him off the top of my head. If T1 can continue this run it may change my mind though.

.....Icebox still has like 6 rounds to go lol.

Congrats Giants, looking really strong going into the playoffs.

I am going to describe it in the NA region, as it's a bit different depending on region.

Here are the current points standings in all regions. Sentinels after winning Masters 1 and 2 have enough points already to make Champions no matter what even if they don't make Berlin.
https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT_Champions_Tour/2021/Circuit_Points/North_America

Places 1 and 2 auto qualify for Champions in Los Angeles. Places 3-10 will qualify for a tournament where the winner also qualifies for Champions. 2 teams from OCE will also qualify for the LCQ and compete against the NA teams.

Recommend clicking around Liquidpedia, as it can maybe help understand better.

TSM surprised me. Thought T1 would put up a better fight. Congrats to TSM though, onto the next map.

He’s friends with Ska, of course he is going to cheer for his friends.

posted about 2 years ago

I hate the two teams I am cheering most for during Challengers 2 in T1 and TSM have to play each other. At least it’s upper bracket.

I don’t really know tbh. I am bias but I think T1 has looked the best of the remaining teams. So I have them beating TSM. And Faze is a team I can not put my finger on. They looked solid against KCP but then looked trash against Rise.

I have Faze and Rise getting eliminated. But between GenG/LG/Rise it could be any of three and I would not be surprised. I think the remaining six teams are close enough that they can beat each other on any given day. So it’s basically just a guess for myself.

Edit: if you are a massive T1 or TSM fan. This game is massive in terms of the LCQ for champions. As TSM, T1, Rise are all battling to get into the LCQ and have 0 points. You want teams like Faze, LG, Gen G to win today, as they already have some points.

Fnatic look like they’re on a mission currently. Still early, but one of the best starts I have seen Fnatic have in a while.

That opening pistol round was the strangest I have ever seen. I actually really like that by Fnatic.

Only one I am unsure on is the C9B vs SEN. C9B needs to start living up to their hype before we can call it a rivalry. I think if 100T can continue their hot streak they are the ones with the best chance of creating a rivalry. Plus the history between the players always adds more to it.

Sure ;)

Completely agree. I thought he was well into his 20’s. Cool to hear though, dude is just getting started.

posted about 2 years ago

I would recommend hyping them up, but doing it within reason. Understand that they most likely aren’t gonna come to VCT next year and be able to beat the best teams in the world. It’s just not gonna happen that quickly. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hype the players that are doing well currently in the region and helping the region grow. Sadly assholes will always try and ruin someone’s fun. If someone wants to spend time trying to put down a growing region, they really serve no purpose and do your best to ignore them.

posted about 2 years ago

You guys definitely have a good chance. Don’t get discouraged if India isn’t a powerhouse right away, because your region is growing and the old saying success doesn’t come overnight. But India is definitely one of the regions I could see being strong in the coming years, same with Japan as they have a loyal and sizeable player base as well.

Get him to buy a lottery ticket /s

I think this hopefully could mean long term better health of the region. Lower tier teams doing better than expected could mean the region is more competitive than previously believed. Or it could just be a one off day. I truthfully don't know enough of the region though.

posted about 2 years ago

I am bias, but I have a lot of faith in T1 currently. Though it could be misplaced. I am not confident at all in my pickems, I have T1 going far currently but I might change things up before the Main Event starts. And I don’t know what to expect from V1 now that we finally after months get to see the actual roster play together. Also unsure where to put Luminosity, they looked strong against C9. My pickems might as well be random currently.

Faze 2-1 Ghost
TSM 2-1 DZ
T1 2-0 BBG
C9B 2-0-LG

Oh it was great. And it was a nice surprise to see. If this is a change and we see Tenz start picking up the Awp more than a battle between the two (Wardell vs Tenz) would be great. Just currently (unless this recent showing with Tenz on Haven is the new norm) I look at Tenz as more of a rifler and a secondary awper if needed.

posted about 2 years ago

It would be more a Shahzam vs Wardell matchup IMO. As Tenz rarely OPs.

posted about 2 years ago

I'm bias, but I think T1 takes this with the way T1 have been playing.

T1 2-0

posted about 2 years ago

Would love it to be the case.

? Because I can look at things without my favouritism changing my opinion?

I don't even know if I have seen you before.

posted about 2 years ago

It will be close, they will absolutely need to make playoffs if they want to be able to make LCQ. They currently have 0 points. Depending on the outcomes. If you are are TSM Fan, you are currently hoping teams like T1, GenG, Luminosity, Ghost Gaming, BBG, DarkZero, Rise, and KCP do poorly. Your friends right now are teams like Faze, Cloud 9, SEN, V1, 100T, XSET and Envy.

Edit: I haven't done the math, but there might be a scenario that because of the teams still alive, its basically they make Berlin and at least for sure go to LCQ, or not go to Berlin and be done.

posted about 2 years ago

He's on a T1 team right now, SEN didn't drop him.

posted about 2 years ago

Love you too, Mate.

posted about 2 years ago

You absolutely might be right. But we are seeing improvement from the TSM camp as least with the fresh roster. They tighten it up a bit with the spacing. And I think a world exists where TSM can be a top team. Maybe not take on the best teams in NA, but just being a tier 1 team again would be huge, which I think they accomplish if they make it to the Main Event, and definitely so if they make it to the Playoffs.

Hopefully this little streak fires them up and give them the confidence to go on a massive run. As I type this, Knights are beating Dark Zero. And I think they absolutely should beat Knights if the TSM of this challengers shows up.

posted about 2 years ago

Even as a SEN and Shahz fan, I disagree. I think Shahz may have a bigger impact in that he has to IGL while also Op. But in terms of 1v1 who comes out on top. I would wager Wardell does more frequently.

posted about 2 years ago

I want it. I want them to go on a massive run. Their games are some of the most entertaining in the scene no matter they win or lose. And if we could have it on the LAN stage it would be great.
