For Champions, the region who wins Masters 3 gets that extra spot. So there is a universe were SEN fail to make Masters 3 for whatever reason, and are still qualified for Berlin on points. Other than points, Master 2 doesnt auto qualify the winner to Champions like Master 3 does.

I think Version 1, 100T, Cloud 9, and Faze in no particular order are the teams with the best chance at getting to Berlin. If C9 gets better like people expect them to, I think they will be a team to beat. Can always have that Version 1 underdog story again with another team, but there's too many to list in that regards.

Absolutely agree. But to be fair, when Tenz got the choker label when he was 18 too, in a completely different game. When you are so young and learning you are bound to have off days. Both players a cracked and have a great future ahead of them.

It was mentioned at their interview when holding the trophy too. Which is good. They deserve to be at Champions, even if for some reason they stumble going into Masters 3 for something out of their control like a substitution, or just some bad luck.

From her body, yes. But Sage was shot in the hand/arm when putting up her wall if you slow the clip down. Arm and hand shots are counted as body shots in the game. Was just very unfortunate timing for the Sage.

So over a year ago? Move on buddy.

Too early to say after one event, but if this becomes the norm absolutely.

Should the best player in the world need excuses like that? This literally just got eliminated yesterday in pathetic fashion.

SEN's Bind looks really good too which they showed today. Definitely not just a gimme for Fnatic. Could go either way.

posted about 2 years ago

I think Fnatic has looked better this Tournament. And even as a NA homer, Boaster has won over my heart with his personality. Definitely can go either way. If both Scream and Jampie are hitting their shots, TL win. If it's only one of the two, Fnatic takes it imo.

lol dude you're not helping the stereotype.

Will be interesting to see how she is after the nerf/balancing. From the State of the Agents post. Riot want to make her less oppressive when she's teamed up with agents like viper, kj, etc. It's a tough spot, because at gold/plat level play she is fine, IMO. In fact I run into way more crappy Astra's than good ones. But at the top level with good communication she is just so smothering that it can be impossible to hit sites at times.

Something I was thinking of, is if they nerf her suck a bit, they can maybe buff her ult by making it so certain utility can't go through it, and help retake sites in the post plant molly meta. Her Ult is a 7 point ability, but even pros think it's only useful in limited areas. Making it so a Viper, Sova, Brim can't just throw utility to stop a defuse might give it some better usage.

I think confidence when you play on a team is good. You don't want to go into a game already defeated mentally. You need a strong mental game to be good at the game professionally, even if that is thinking you are good enough to beat teams you really shouldn't have a chance against. Look at what happened to TL against Version 1 on Heaven. Once their mental was done, the match was over, even though TL is obviously a better team than they showed in that map.

GG's Fnatic. Wish V1 could have had more of that story'd run. But was impressed. Was fun to see. OT's were V1's kryptonite. Don't know if that cause of a sub, or if that's something they legit need to be better on even with Whippie in the roaster.

posted about 2 years ago

Dude relax, take the L’s in stride. i wanted V1 to win, but it’s all good in the hood :P

Enjoy yourself. These tournaments are meant for fun and enjoyment for viewers. It’s fun to play around with the other regions, but no reason to take it to far. This isn’t directed at just you. Basically everyone on the server that might be getting a bit too caught up in this.

Was a great game. Cheers to both teams. Happy with have another top region potentially in Korea to go along with NA and EU.

posted about 2 years ago

I am very happy Korea is showing they’re competitive, was gonna suck if it was just EU vs NA with a sprinkling of BR and CIS for the billionth time. Hope Korea gets a second spot eventually if they keep this up.

This has nothing to do with C9 being dumb or smart. It has to do with when a contract eventually runs out. And since he is on loan from C9, his contract from C9 is still active and will eventually end.

posted about 2 years ago

GG Nuturn. Wanted V1 to win but Nuturn wanted it more. Great match.

posted about 2 years ago

Has there been any info on how long TenZ's contract with C9 is? Wondering if SEN will just ride out C9's contract with this lone stuff, then just potentially get him when he's a free agent.

Yeah, should both win today. There is some upset potential though. X10 seems to be getting better and better time goes on. Fnatic should be able to get by them without much trouble. But if they have an off day I think X10 can seize that opportunity.

I like Boaster, I like Pati. Hope it's a good match.

The TL vs KRU is hard to say. Which version of both teams show up. I think Team Liquid will bounce back. KRU has been a team that's hard to gauge this tournament. They get rolled by Fnatic, but then genuinely look good against Sharks. Obviously Fnatic is better than Sharks, but the team itself just looked much better and comfortable. Should be a TL 2-0 victory, but wouldn't shock me if something crazy happened.

Version1 vs NUTURN should be a banger. Don't think at the beginning of the tournament people would have guessed 2 of the 3 teams to be in contention for an upper bracket Grand Finals appearance would be Version 1 and NUTURN. If Version1 wins, NA has a guaranteed spot in the Grand Finals.

If only I believe in my NA bros, and not believe the EU hype. I would have perfect pickems.

posted about 2 years ago

Like both teams so it's hard to see one out so quick. Japan has a pretty big scene for the game, so a CR would do well for it. Though same can probably be said about X10.

I have X10 in my pickems. Hope it's a banger of a match.

posted about 2 years ago

"Munchkin, go kill" LOL I joke, but he was doing that well in his last game.

posted about 2 years ago

Lower bracket runs are possible. As any fan of Sentinels will tell you. It's not over yet, and I say that as someone who wants to see NA beat EU.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean sure. But 22 kills through two maps and an average damage per round of 91 is not good anyway you look at it when you are playing Phoenix and Sova. It was by far the lowest in the server.

ShahZam looking like he can take the world right now. I love watching Sick play. So I definitely hope it’s just a one off and he finds his way tomorrow.

posted about 2 years ago

Anyone a little worried for Sick’s performance? He had one of the worst performances this tournament so far in terms of ACS. Thankfully TenZ and Shazam were able to bring the fire power. But Sick usually is the one to be the 1-2 punch with TenZ. So it was a little weird to see him struggle so much.

Has Sick had much LAN experience? Is this just a one day experience? Your thoughts.

posted about 2 years ago

He is well in the bottom half of the tournaments average ACS after two games. Now obviously ACS isn’t everything, but by no means is he doing amazing or good enough to consider getting rid of Whippie who was one of their best players before this.

posted about 2 years ago

I would assume by saying we take L’s all the time would come across as humble... like I agree to be humble, but it’s fun to trash talk a bit.

posted about 2 years ago

Why didn’t I believe in my NA Bois. I feel ashamed for not believing in my people. And my pickems took the fall when it should be me. /s

posted about 2 years ago

EU can you take an L once and just accept it. We NA fans take L’s all the time, you get one and it’s all excuses. Just accept you got beat.

posted about 2 years ago

Yup

posted about 2 years ago

I will gladly sacrifice my pickems for the V1 win.

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly no clue. I joke, but after that throw, Soulcas will be getting fans eyes on him as a replacement. Jamppi, Scream and Link showed up today. I don’t know enough about Team Liquid team dynamic to make a true guess though.

posted about 2 years ago

This game was made for him with the gun mechanics. Plus his brother now being on Liquid. Plus it might get some adjustments in the future. He’s not gonna be any more successful in CSGO.

Line ups were not why TL lost. V1 arguably could have 2-0 them without choking on split. V1 was just better, simple as that.

posted about 2 years ago

That’s fair. Personally don’t know how much that would effect it since from the interviews with V1 it sounded like they have to go back to more basic plays than they were planning. But I could see your point.

posted about 2 years ago

Sorry, but I fail to see where you are coming from with the no demos parts. They had all the challenger demos, they had the V1 vs CR demo from yesterday.

Edit: All good though, different opinions on the subject is no biggie. It’s been fun to watch at least.

posted about 2 years ago

Even as a V1 fan. At what point do we stop saying they are over preforming and this is just how good they are? Cause people were saying the same thing in Challengers when they qualified.

They absolutely would have looked into V1. They had time. Wtf were they doing during the entire week of quarantine if they were looking at the V1 and CR, their literal first matchup of the tournament that they’ve known for some time. If anything, V1 had less time to counter-strate Liquid as they first needed to get by CR.

posted about 2 years ago

There is a universe out there where V1 2-0 Liquid. But holy fuck, what a series. GG liquid fans. This has been great no matter the winner.

posted about 2 years ago

Absolutely, now I am wondering just how good is CR. That CR vs X10 matchup will be nuts. My pickems have X10, but I think it can easily go either way.

posted about 2 years ago

I wasn't able to watch, how did TL beat Fnatic to get the #1 seed if they are so much better?

posted about 2 years ago

Here's hoping they have a better showing in Lower Bracket.

posted about 2 years ago

lol is entertaining at least.

posted about 2 years ago

Oh I would love it. Even if my pickems take the hit lol

posted about 2 years ago

Agreed

posted about 2 years ago

No matter the result. I am happy with how V1 has done, they have a stand in, and are showing well against the current #1 EU Team.

posted about 2 years ago

The smaller regions have impressed me. They may not be a big threat to win the major. But I think they have showed they deserve to have a spot and give the region to opportunity to grow. If you are a fan from Japan, Thailand, even LATAN. Don't be discouraged if you don't go far in the major. You have showed you deserve to be here.
