three takes, one with 10% chance of happening, one with 50% chance, and one with 90%

mine for example

90% xset go 0-2 in playoffs
50% asian team in grand finals
10% fpx take it home

i gotta wonder what settings people are running their shit on to get such low fps

i have a pc but travel a lot so i play on my laptop (not made for gaming at all) and i still easily get over a 100 fps whenever i play. not great but definitely still fine for some chill ranked games

ethan definitely has certain beliefs and values when it comes to rosters. doesn't necessarily mean he's "the problem", just that there's a conflict of interest. in that case its good for both parties for him to find a new team tbh

crazy how you can't just abc valorant matchups

guy played insane and stepped up when it was necessary, very cool to see young talents like that

4/5 not bad, nukkye kinda silent this lan and guard choked but all in all pretty decent :)

it has nothing to do with the type of game you play

when you have that experience competing at the highest level you master the ability to "improve" -- aka being able to critically analyze yourself, your opponents, understanding your strengths and weaknesses and how to build upon them, etc.

obviously you need mechanics but that's just a physical thing. the mentality is acquired playing any esport, sport, or competition in any form at the highest level. whether it's a Chess GM or a professional football player, they all have the mindset required to compete in anything, including a game like valorant

they did compared to their previous roster, they showed control over tempo shifts and mid round adaptations. old zeta never bothered with any of that shit. their split especially showed a lot of new ideas that i hadn't seen in japanese vct before

posted about 2 years ago

zeta keep improving man who knows. this team is literally 5x over the team i saw in VCT japan finals and i was already impressed back then

people don't even realize how biased they are against certain regions/teams

like people will say wow zeta are playing great and then think to themselves "how the fuck did they lose to a japanese team" as if they haven't proved they belong in the top4

posted about 2 years ago

the casters aren't "making up some story" bro. you literally just don't have eyes if you couldn't recognize how the strategic depth and coordination to their play. look at all the other pros that were amazed by how they were playing lol.

obviously they shit the bed here but it doesn't invalidate all of their gameplay because you're too dumb to analyze valorant beyond looking at scorelines and vlr post match threads

Nobody has ever said this

japan and brazil had very similar issues, their top talent was completely spread thin through different teams

posted about 2 years ago

literally was one round away from beating optic 2-0 but okay

have you considered that zeta might just be equally insane?

posted about 2 years ago

stfu, respect zeta

literally incapable of recognizing your own biases. zeta are fuckin insane. get off ur ego thinking the region is shit when they are clearly proving they aren't right now

this game hurts my heart

i wish both teams could move on so bad man, drx need to do their lower bracket sweep and zeta need to continue their cinderella story

sad that one is going home

posted about 2 years ago

they didn't choke berlin, gambit was just way better lol

riot does not give a fuck about the players lmao

"rest days"

the real answer is they don't want to lose viewership on finals by having them on weekdays

if they actually cared about the players wellbeing they would have rescheduled zeta/g2

posted about 2 years ago

yeah man, a grand total of 3 events.

1) where they smashed their group then lost 2-1 to Gambit who won the entire thing
2) where they lost 2-1 to fnatic and cloud9
3) (YOU ARE HERE) where they've dominated until semifinals and barely lost to optic

literally make it sound like they've been bombing out in groups for years

posted about 2 years ago

Why are there so many crybaby reactionary fans lmao. mfs lose one game and the world is ending, burn everything to the ground, have some self respect man

posted about 2 years ago

honest to god if they won the .04 round on icebox i think drx wins it 2-0. in the end what ifs don't matter though so optic had the resilience to take it home, was a good game

posted about 2 years ago

i wasn't particularly surprised that rb underperformed, he's had a track record for it by now. must be a mental block, hope he figures it out. stax as well had a really uncharacteristic performance

lower bracket is theirs though, would love to see a rematch in grand finals

posted about 2 years ago

banger game could have gone either way hope we see rematch in grands

is what optic are gonna win this map off of

posted about 2 years ago

you can believe whatever you want to fit the narrative of your choice lol. as an envy fan i literally saw how much people were gassing x10 up for eliminating them

obviously other factors are involved in the community's celebration of jp's success -- neth's crying interview, the passionate community, the fight they put up against gambit after getting demolished, they simply have had a storyline building up to this success and you're just seeing the fruits of it.

posted about 2 years ago

how does that change any of what i said lol. fluke or not (obviously they weren't) they had results to their names

japan didn't even have the excuse of a fluke because they literally bombed out of every event

posted about 2 years ago

SEA/APAC has accomplished a decent amount in valorant already, Xerxia eliminating Envy and Secret making it through groups

japan's only achievement until this event has been beating Havan Liberty.

do you see why people treat them differently

posted about 2 years ago

if he was the NA niesow he wouldn't have shown up kek

i kept gassing them up leading into masters while that fuckin bald egg sideshow spent an hour calling them dogshit in a vod review

fan of both teams so really don't mind who ends up winning. so hard to predict optic matches because if yay just has one of those demon mode games like on icebox, no team in the world is beating them. but if he's just playing to his regular level, DRX will come out on top imo.

it is relevant to note that envy/optic have historically found drx to be an easy opponent (their words from scrimbucks) but we'll see whether that's just talk or not

posted about 2 years ago

people that are still underestimating zeta are literally just not watching the games anymore lol

they have the firepower necessary to beat liquid, seriously. but having seen the crucial mistakes made in the g2 match that lead to their loss, i doubt two days was enough to patch up those issues so i'm gonna edge liquid over just a bit. if liquid come in shaky and zeta are feeling it though they will get run over.

game kept alt tabbing mid round

posted about 2 years ago

he has the highest overall kd in the entire event so far at 1.82... playing only viper astra and omen lmfao

the second highest is 1.50 from hoody, who's only played one match so far (just to put it into perspective)

posted about 2 years ago

i wouldn't be that confident (besides the fact that optic still have to win against guard)

imo only yay is better than the drx players, and even thats not by a large margin. the rest of the drx members are looking stronger atm

DRX did something really interesting to me on anti-eco vs NiP, on breeze taking A-site they actually dogged and droned at the same time, using one to clear left and one to clear right simultaneously

extremely simple yet effective way to get perfect information and prevent yourself from getting eco'd
