i wonder who knows who they’d be better off with, zeta themselves or Plat Chat Wyatt

if your day was shit it be like that, i'm just saying there's absolutely nothing worse as a fan than giving up on your team before it ends. you support till the last round

posted about a year ago

yeah i just started supporting optic yesterday actually how did you know

posted about a year ago

do you think they want "fans" that type garbage like this after 1 map lmao

i had doner kebab once and it was orgasmic what's the deal here

do most br fans know about the time yay teamed with xand in cs, i always found that as interesting trivia

posted about a year ago

i think the whole malding thing is sorely overstated
the guy is just passionate and lets out his frustration, you could tell by his gameplay that he wasn't letting it affect him. dude was popping the entire game
better to let it out and be emotional quickly than keep it in like :| as it bubbles inside you
thats how you become actually tilted

KRU -- Sentinels, Fnatic
LOUD -- Optic, G2, Liquid
PAPER REX -- Optic, Fnatic, Guild, Guard, G2
LEVIATAN -- Liquid, XSET
DRX -- 100T, Acend

we goin worldwide

posted about a year ago

i remember sgares has been a VS fan from the very beginning, he used to review their vods on stream

me thinks 100t will be very prepared, drx better be ready for that

posted about a year ago

you're looking at it backwards and it's because you think his only talent is "his aim good"
his skillset enables him to use chamber's toolkit at a super high level
NOT chambers toolkit enables him to play at a super high level

posted about a year ago

this narrative that yay would be bad without chamber is some of the most hilarious cope i've seen in a while
same people will go back and say he wasn't that good on jett when his jett literally elevated envy from the 4th best na team to one of the best in the world period
it's all revisionist bullshit in the end lol

also, the entire idea of being angry that player only plays one agent is LOL welcome to competition. in the end this an fps game, not a moba. every single agent has a fucking gun and bullets lmao, he would be massacring teams on any character

posted about a year ago

me at kareoke when i think i'm popping off

posted about a year ago

don't know anything about him as a coach but the fact that they snatched him up as soon as he was available says a lot about how they value him

posted about a year ago

i really don't care about this topic but

it is hypocritical the way these pros will back him up when on stream they'll mald and whine about awful/boosted players getting into their games
like who do you think is getting them there buddy lol

posted about a year ago

they keep reyna and yoru as off picks to throw in tempo changes. they did the same thing against fpx by switching up their bind comp

i remember when this was first posted to the globaloffensive subreddit man fuck im old

am i the only one that finds solo q so much easier than 5 stacks

the level of players in soloq is so much worse, i literally gain all my rr in the morning when i solo then lose it all with my friends at night lmao

obviously duo/trio is the sweet spot but that’s not my point

disrespecting foxy9 for zero

guy is a beast and super promising talent

lmaoo funny thing is i have grievances with all three of those books
i respect your opinion though

posted about a year ago

i hated catcher in the rye as a kid but it wouldn’t be the first time i reread a book and changed how i felt about it

NLH on the other hand. is what i call depression porn. great book but i don’t have the emotional bandwidth to read more than one of those a month

posted about a year ago

i’ve read from margin to center by hooks, she has some interesting takes that i enjoy but i have gripes with the whole subgenre of feminist lit. feels almost akin to religious discourse where everyone is so engrossed in their own specific sect that they’re writing to argue against other influences. bit difficult to digest as an outsider looking in. but i guess that’s the natural order when it comes to philosophy of any kind

and yep, while i think the mundane has become somewhat of an overused accessory of contemporary literature, it’s always been beautifully explored by japanese writers. something about the historical and cultural context gives me a more genuine feeling i dunno what that spark is

hello
here are 5 books i read this year that i enjoyed and would like for others to also enjoy. feel free to recommend any as well, im always looking for stuff to read

  1. 2666 by roberto bolano
  2. i am a cat by natsume soseki
  3. left hand of darkness by ursula k le guin
  4. the gambler by dostoevsky
  5. convenience store woman by sayaka murata

thats all

wanted to see this matchup with full rosters. unfortunately tennn was a lynchpin to zeta's success, but i'm sure they'll put up a fight

the more leaps in transitive property you do to compare teams the less meaningful it makes the assessment

underrated

claymore

might just go 3 for 3 lmao

it's the kanye west cycle

people praise them a lot for xyz reason

so they develop a disproportionate amount of hate from people pissed that they're "overrated"

which feeds into it again and again its wild

posted about a year ago

never seen him play this bad sad to see em go out like this

posted about a year ago

not arguing really just talking while he screams over me loool pretty amusing

posted about a year ago

thats okay, appreciate the conversation and hope you do some self introspection for the sake of the people around you

posted about a year ago

sorry it's just hilarious to me how ppl on a valorant forum cant talk like humans and have to do this condescending tough guy thing. i respect how emotional you are keep it up

posted about a year ago

definitely a well adjusted human being who knows how to engage in discourse

not every issue is this boogeyman people have created about drx's mental

rb died because they caught him repositioning behind shortbox
zest got 2 with a spectre, literally did everything he could
mako was planning on holding the walk out but was forced to wide swing to trade zest, whiffed but it's not an advantageous duel
rest you already know

i like that you have to attack me to get your point across though, shows you really care about the game haha

posted about a year ago

wasn't really a mentality thing this time around i feel. everyone had their moments of huge impact (maybe besides buzz who had a rough game)

not much you can do when yayster drops 20 first bloods, if he played like he did in any of optic's previous series they probably would have lost

posted about a year ago

they’re playing well, what’s with these doomer takes when the game isn’t even over. smh

posted about a year ago

i think drx are actually in much more impressive form than the previous events. i appreciate how they've cut out a lot of the rigidity/stiffness in their former playstyle and take for a more default oriented fluid approach, while keeping a lot of what makes them DRX (extremely ironed out coordination, primed retakes, etc)

obviously i'm rooting for optic but i would have more faith in drx, regardless of today's result. they're looking pretty sharp right now

posted about a year ago

key points are that DRX's loss to optic formerly came from two aspects: rigidity/inability to adapt + yay having massive serieswide impact

they've clearly given up their old style of play for one that seems more fluid and malleable, and yay hasn't really shown his usual absurd performances yet

pretty concerning as an optic fan. on the bright side, they seem to be on an upward trajectory + marved is going above and beyond atm

looking forward to the series, especially the controller matchup

it's a very very poor argument to say that because there are no deaths in one field that things will never happen

think about the real world man, people get killed literally every single day from sickos with fucked up brain chemistry. you don't gamble your fucking life based on "well uhhh in football it didnt happen"

a shooting literally happened by my house a few days ago brother, gunman was a literal teenager too. this shit isn't jokes

posted about a year ago

it's not about being afraid of an internet troll lmao. there are mentally ill people everywhere and all it takes is one sick fuck that doesn't care about their own life to do something unfixable.

i feel like people don't realize how likely it is for the gaming community to have at least one person with screws loose in their brain that would take things too far

posted about a year ago

you know all it takes is one mentally ill person to actually follow through with their words right

especially from a player/celebrity's pov, you know there are some deranged individuals in the community and one might just be sick in the head enough to do something

posted about a year ago

that round on haven was pretty weird. the omen ult cancel really sealed it, from drx's pov there's literally zero reason to ever cancel it so it must have instilled a lot of paranoia

posted about a year ago

is actually performing very well imo

people will point out stats, or clips where he whiffs awp shots, and not realize that he's actually the key component to most of drx's macro play

you look at mako's 51 assists and go wow, not realizing it's basically entirely enabled by Rb's selfless and consistent entry value

drx have a streamlined process where rb is basically like a fast moving info gatherer, constantly clearing everything in the shortest amount of time possible giving the rest of the team split second information that enables stuff like mako's omen flash, stax's fault line, etc

very very good at his role and ive been impressed

posted about a year ago

it's literally just children trying to be edgy. mods will delete the ones that go over the line, it's not something to freak out over

posted about a year ago

not sure why people are so pressed by this. let the apac fans have their fun, their team is doing well. when/if they're eliminated everyone will roast them, etc

its just the cycle of things. i can't imagine getting seriously bothered by something so petty

posted about a year ago

i watched an interview drx did before the tournament and they were super candid about their weaknesses. they especially talked out loud about rb going missing during the big matches, and that really showed to me that they're willing and capable of addressing their flaws going forward

history might repeat itself but i'm optimistic things will be different

posted about a year ago

angel always plays like an aggressive dog, he did the same thing in emea wide swinging as controller only it worked because it's online lmao

i genuinely cannot believe he thought he could do the same shit on lan, guy has played at like a billion tournaments since 1.6 and is still dense
