I think they're going for high viewership areas so that people can attend the crowd nowadays

Unfortunately Keith not there to carry anymore

I guess they mean 12 PM-1 AM of the next day, and use 25:00 to avoid confusion of 12 AM-1Aam

Whenever I mention Leaf as a top duelist, a lot of EMEA people don't believe me because C9 didnt qualify and a lot of NA people call him a choker.

He's NA's best duelist imo, better than demon1 not because of his aim but because of his skill at creating space, winning first engagements, all on top of having the 2nd best stats in the entire America's only below Aspas.

Reminder that 1.5 years ago there was a point in time where nadeshot was seriously trying to sign Tarik to be 100T's star awper

ty i forgot a year passed and that FNS isn't twins with ange1

same reason they dropped mummAy for Yay back when they were still called ENVY; even though he was performing good, yay was a clear upgrade and the missing piece they needed to no longer finish top 3 and instead dominate NA

1. FNS - who knows if he'll ever retire, and I hope he doesn't, but he's 31 years old and he's NA's undisputed best IGL and there has to be someone in the future capable of taking up that position without a drop in quality
Role: IGL, kj/viper

Successor: no clear successor role-wise, but the closest to his IGLing ability is Valyn. at Age 20, he already surpasses all other IGLs in NA besides FNS, and has 11 years of experience left to achieve everything FNS did and more.

2. Victor - he's 26, and unless he takes whatever NISMO's taking to stay at his prime at the age of 28 without IGLing, it feels like we'll only be able to see him for a few more years.
Role: Entry, Raze/Flex

Successor: Zekken. At Age 18, he's already cemented himself as one of the best duelists in NA, not only just at raze but jett as well. He's incredibly intelligent and adept at specifically creating space for his team and scoring first bloods. Just as flexible as Victor is at a lot of NRG's "janitorial roles" like Killjoy

3. Crashies - 25, not too old, but like Victor it feels like we'll only see him for a few more years.
Role: scan Initiator/occasional Viper Flex

Successor: trent. 18 years old. kid pulls off miracles, excellent sova util and capable of flexing to many different roles. Clutch god, just like crashies

4. Ardiis - 25 years old, i'm starting to realize why this team is so calm at lans, they're all old af and don't have that zoomer energy.
Role: Primary awper Jett. Occasional Killjoy flex

Successor: Leaf. 19 years old. Ngl Leaf already surpasses him in every way except for his awping. He's an entry god, incredibly intelligent, and a communicative teammate. One of the bes duelists in NA already. Can flex onto basically every role.

5. s0m - 21 years old: he's still young he doesn't need a successor but if it were anyone it'd probably be skuba or bang

as a NAVI fan, this is acceptable

that's also a really good option

Tenz's buyout is not that much anymore probably given his 2022 performance. His contract only lasts a year.

I'm not sure if Sentinels have higher salaries but I know for a fact that they have a lot more money to throw around from Rob Moore's personal funds

posted about 2 years ago

sure, could be fun

posted about 2 years ago

Even on C9, Leaf plays other roles and leaves the raze to Xeppaaa, I'm expecting a similar dynamic between him and Victor.

Plus, having someone that can fill every role except for smokes and sentinel smokes (which FNS and s0m already have locked down?) is always a plus for the team.

Plus NRG already plays double duelist on split with ardiis

posted about 2 years ago

He's the NA version of Sayf imo

posted about 2 years ago

Let's just say the NRG players have the highest salaries in NA and Cloud9...well... you know ;)

posted about 2 years ago

you too my brazillian friend

posted about 2 years ago

That's his one downside, I'll agree

posted about 2 years ago

He quite literally was second only to Aspas in stats during the regular season

posted about 2 years ago

While I love OpTic, the current meta does not do ardiis and yay any favors, especially yay.

Leaf as a duelist matches perfectly with NRG:

-Incredibly flexible on Killjoy, Skye, Jett, Raze, and Neon; fixes almost every potential role issue NRG currently has having to accommodate to Ardiis.

-Most intelligent duelist in NA, his pathing, entries and overall gamesense are world-class

-His aim rivals the other superstars like Aspas, Demon1, and Cryo.

-incredibly vocal and active in preparation for upcoming games. Incredibly hard working.

Everyone talks about aspas or yay to NRG, but imo the best possible upgrade is Leaf if they ever manage to get him.

NRG Leaf
NRG FNS
NRG crashies
NRG Victor
NRG s0m

Actually a dynasty capable team, potential to surpass OpTic

On the other hand, if NRG pick up Leaf, NA will never lose a tournament again

Lowk good on lotus and split

posted about 2 years ago

Solo deadlock on lotus + brim is actually pretty strong in ranked.

If you set up on c every round then brim can smoke off your wall, which will force them to walk inside the smoke to know where the walls orbs are to shoot them, allowing you to get some pretty consistent smoke spam skills.

This is really annoying to deal with and shuts down any fast c hits unless the jett is braindead enough to solo updraft dash onto site without any support, in which case im disappointed if you can't kill her.

They'll usually rotate through door and go for an improvised B hit, and if you stall them with brim mollie there, they'll either take their chances and walk out into your spray or rotate to A, where you can have your teammates push up aggro beforehand or even have jett awping
