Just checked Valorant and it says on top right (the usual night market icon) that night market is currently disabled due to an issue? Anyone else getting this?

I see. Besides that, casters can only control so little. The director and organizers have to do their market research and analysis as well as to how they can continue to foster the community and related aspects of the scene in the country. Riot also gave the regions a specific budget for these type of things. Look at India for example, a lot of mobile games as well but I think they are really doing a good job stepping up their lans and the quality of their production as well. Other than that, I'm sure the PH scene can recover hopefully. Btw, I remember being disappointed because I think the PH stream was broken when it was the upper bracket finals - day 1, the one with NAOS vs Oas. Then when they went live the next day, I didn't really feel like watching anymore because the other VCTs like ID hooked me up with their consistency (even though I couldn't understand anything from the casters because I don't know their language lmao).

Tbh I try to watch all live challengers here in APAC as much as I can but the only thing that set me off from watching the PH one was the production. I don't know if watching live is different but like compared to other regional streams, it really felt like low quality and uninspired compared to other streams. It almost felt like they didn't have a proper venue/production and budget to prioritize viewer experience. Just my two cents.

I guess this nerf affects a lot including phantom users too. I hope they revert this change, this is game changing kinda no?

Haven't played valo since last week so I guess I gotta check it out rn lmao thanks bud!

posted about 2 years ago

Bro I don't know what to feel about this change :/

Can someone clarify if the nerf for reserve ammo for phantom and vandal is true? How do you guys think this will affect Valorant as a whole? I mean CS has 90 reserve for rifles and you don't even have stuff to break compared to Valorant like sage wall and stuff.

Just wondering why all of the regional qualifiers have lan production and livestreams except Philippines? Are they an exemption or something? I know that all regionals for ascention have allocated budget for prod and stuff. Sucks that all regions have hype and engagements rn except them.

I'm seeking some mouse recommendations, and here's the context: my hand size measures 7.8 inches in length and 4.5 inches in width. Currently, I'm using the Logitech G Pro X Superlight, but it's been plagued by random ghost scrolling issues. Since I'm not keen on spending another $150 on a mouse, I've been eyeing the G703, G Pro Wireless, or Model D wireless as potential replacements. I don't really like having mouse cables too.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or recommendations you can provide. By the way, I'm currently in SEA rn and will be here until December, so if any fellow apac players have specific recommendations based on regional availability, that would be fantastic.

Thank you all in advance for your help!

I don't think that's an excuse. They're literally getting paid to play the game regardless of agents they are tasked to if that's the case. Just look at forsaken of PRX or Buzz from DRX for example, no BS, no excuses - they can excel and they've proven to show value despite roles that are assigned to them.

I mean either I guess. I've been watching SA/APAC scene for the past couple of months.

posted about 2 years ago

I think it's probably because they thought they can get a faster ROI with just "good" players compared to developing and fostering a strong sense of quality in their own region. But whatever it is, I'm sure the org knows the implications of their decisions moving forward. It's just sad things are not going their way like how they imagined it probably.

Tbh, I've seen a lot of better initiators/senti in APAC compared to t3xture and Bazzi. Just my two cents.

It's disappointing to see that Global Esports (GE) is underperforming in the Pacific region of the Valorant Champions Tour despite having a diverse roster of players from various countries.

Perhaps GE could have had better results if they had signed more local talent or even players from the Southeast Asian region. Mixing and matching "good" players from different parts of the world doesn't always result in the best team composition. There's a lot of quality talent in local scenes, and GE could benefit from scouting and developing players in their own region. Did some research and I have been noticing another local SA team named Orangutan esports who are quite doing well for the past couple of months.
