That or just reduce the import slot.
There's no loophole at all, except Sc0rz most orgs in vcj are not breaking any rules at all, however, compliance doesn't necessarily mean that orgs are acting on the long run interest of the community.

I only gave my "technical" perspective on why it happened but ultimately I was detached from the conversation lol
Part of the reason why I'm told there are many imports on the scene is orgs need to stay "competitive" in order to win ascension. This is not good.
This is a problem with VCJ because all of the current teams in main stage have a decent enough resource to develop domestic talents, but most chose to not do it.
If there are 4 poor orgs and 4 rich orgs, the poor orgs will have their hands tied and having no choice but to scout domestic players while I can shit on rich orgs for being stupid in the long run 😂.
Essentially, being rich and all made most orgs in VCJ complacent and lazy
This is important because I've suggested how riot could lose japan in the long run
https://www.vlr.gg/450471/koreans-on-japanese-orgs-are-bad-business#top
( replace the word Korean with imports )
Depends on the size and well being, each region will receive different impact imo. From what I can see, VCJ has been and will be made a loser from this franchise system in the long run
I agree that Riot is a control freak, user generated content could save Riot money
It couldn't compare to the money made from Steam.
I mean it's true that Fl1pz started ragebaiting first. His insult seemed personally aimed towards tenten (iirc). Doesn't make Tenten right tho.
Something that I never saw in discussions regarding Riot vs Valve in terms of how they handle esports is
their income source.
Valve's income source comes from Steam, not CS or Dota, there wasn't any pressure for Valve to implement franchise system compared to Riot.
Riot earns money through Skins and other in game purchases, simply put League and Valorant ( to a lesser extent ) are what keeping them as big as they are. Knowing this it's easy to see why Riot implemented franchise system.
That said, I hate franchise system. I will explain why in my next thread

Solluzy and yvy left ZETA AC
Riot isn't even the problem imo, you're doing business in Asian countries where these kinds of behavior are common, that's just the "risk" of doing business here.
Idk about intentional tho, Riot are doing their activity in East Asian countries and countries like Thailand. Those countries even without Riot intentional marketing will attracts fangirls sooner or later, that's just how they are.
At the end of the day, it's the orgs themselves that choose how to market themselves. Riot only cares about the skins.
Idk abt cringe, but it would be either naive or you're just new to esports to think that other games don't attract toxic people. It's a competitive game.
you could've just said Valo attracts more female fans than male fans, but you had to say man are associated with smoking gambling and shittalking..
It's as simple as somewhere along the line, riot's marketing strategy intentional or not started to attract those kinds of people instead of the intended ones.
Ehhh pls not too far 😂😂.
There's a reason why I'm still here, I'm only interested in keeping the scene( mostly just VCJ) alive and growing.😂
I mean you're still lucky that you want to talk about matches and you're likely to find someone like yourself.
I would gladly entertain people who would discuss on how to run a scene . But alas, this is esports forum not an economic forum 😂.
Glad to see you follow it up, at first I thought you only said 👍 which implies you agreed with him 💀
You're the type of people that would start smoking because your friends called you a sissy for not doing so 😂
I saw the crash out lol, my first impression of him was he's very confused ( as in very naive ) but at least he got the spirit, but now he's just stupid lol
It's all about the matchups I think but Murash really needs to step it up because if either Absol or TENNN stops shooting the whole team is going down lol.
I would like to see crest and especially Sc0rz go down, they are helping other region more than japan just by existing 😂😂😂
I need SG and Murash to win, Murash has Absol and really drives viewrship, and SG seemed like redeemed themselves by picking domestic talentlike kippei who's way too young to tier 2 standards.
After looking at the format, I agree, we will be having same conversation soon lol
Speaking of formats, holy shit who tf created them, only 2 premier teams qualifies to advance stage, might as well tell riot to turn vcj into franchise system
The way I see it advance stage format like this will only cause complacency, as if the orgs themselves are not complacent enough with gazillion imports on the scene
Probably? But they picked their academy players so it's gonna be hard for them imo, I mean that's just what happens when you actually tried to help the scene and take the fewest shortcuts possible.
Not to mention the roster they have this time actually have something to show for but FAV kinda just has had enough it seems
It's not dying in japan yet but they will if orgs keep spending money on imports. Not to mention SOOP'S deal and merging SEA triggers a spillover to VCJ, if orgs don't change the way they're doing things rn there will be hardships in the future
Imo, they should just forget about LANs and actually stick to marketing and funding teams.
Well I did say "it got me thinking" so it's gonna be my personal opinion 😂.
Did riot even allocate any money to tier 2 lol, as far as I can see those allocations only go to production and prizepool.
They probably don't tbh, we could've seen Keisu , lafura and Mametu in main stage, all of which are upcomers and looked good but yeah its unfortunate that riot added academy teams rn
But I got to see honeybunny and killaa so it balances out a bit but I still don't like where this is going
But you can't deny that Academy teams are probably the trigger to this tho.
Fav has been very unlucky with their matchups they got cockblocked 5 times always 1 step behind from reaching main stage and FAV is willing to put up qith it due to the promise of better exposure, but Academy Teams in VCJ is probably a slap in the face towards all the efforts FAV put in imo. And they actually have promising roster this time with all upcoming players
Sometimes I do , but most of the time IonlywatchvcjXD
I came across this tweet
https://x.com/deviceotaku/status/1892894553419526472?t=liYRMLKDM6X6yIPKZer26A&s=19
This tweet most likely came as a response to FAV announcing them leaving valorant ( not forever) . It really got me thinking about whether academy teams are actually necessary in VCJ.
On one hand, the region is not in need of Tier 1 support.
But on the other hand both teams are actually elevating the scene more than most orgs.
To make it worse even FAV is actually one of the few orgs who actually tried to elevate the scene.
Ain't gonna lie I know this will happen.
This team is always 1 step away from qualifying to main stage. They had the unluckiest matchups compared to all orgs in jp
Fav disbands for now.
Legit the unluckiest org ever, which is a shame because this org actually invests in local talents.
I told my friends I watched "pawn stars" and they misheard it as "porn stars" 😂
Would rather watch pawn stars, but I find storage wars just as interesting
In my case I can say that 95% speaks in dialect, I think the older generation actually understands mandarin more than the younger generation 😂. I mean there are people who speak mandarin but they're probably around 40%-50% and still uses dialect to go about their lives
There are the even younger generation that are drilled with mandarin but people like them are only 1-5%
Sry, I should have clarified, I changed the question
Other than Mandarin, do you still speak in your dialect? Is it still growing strong in your country?
