I care about jp tier 2 as much as you do brother🀝, but sadly not many even here share our sentiments

posted 10 months ago

This kind of relationship should be reciprocal, riot take care of the scene, and the community in exchange follow the scene thoroughly, when no one simply watches the scene, riot's hand will be tied ofc, even riot has its limits. It's been this way for a long time no? I don't think this situation is exclusive to valorant as well.

posted 10 months ago

Tbh yeah NZ particpation in japanese qualifier is so random πŸ˜‚.

posted 10 months ago

People only care about tier 2 when their scene is about to be merged/destroyed etc. But when nothing happens everyone usually doesn't give a fuck.

That kind of mentality sucks.

Unironically true

Flair , but valid tho my heart really broke when heretics lost πŸ’”

Wow, 32? That's like 90 in esports age πŸ˜‚. Do you think this is just a flash in the pan showing or the scene starting to flourish?

They were , zeta had 6 coaching staff this year and 3 of them already lft(sieg) moved to academy team(junior) and become streamer(crow)

Not really, he brought in drama and had nothing to show for in the end

posted 10 months ago

I think steel once insulted shahzam when his family member just died(?). That's a weirdo energy for sure.

posted 10 months ago

I dont think yotaa is going there , because removing yotaa means adrnking and ejay are useless now( there's no point in bringing them in when scarz don't have to comm in English now) , and doing that means scarz is losing their core and automatically withdraw(?),unless Yoshiii's japanese still sucks.

posted 10 months ago

But, prx had advantage and you can see TH actually fought tooth and nail from lower bracket to grand finals in both shanghai and seoul, that makes it much more impressive than prx tbh

posted 10 months ago

Is mada not good?

posted 10 months ago

I think next year emea will dominate tbh, they take the risk of getting T2 players which is very good. And even if they don't, they will secure themselves for 2026 onwards.

posted 10 months ago

No rank because I'm deleting valorant soon πŸ˜‚

posted 10 months ago

Yeah I think some orgs definitely are definitely favoured, which is why first mover advantage is a thing, for orgs like sen its no longer viable for them to just start concentrate back on local fanbase.

Might be tunnel vision but I think japanese orgs encourages a lot of participation which is what inspires this thread.

Actually does it even cost anything to hold an online event πŸ˜‚, aside from getting streamers to participate as long as it's a fan event I think it's just a time issue (?). Might be wrong tho.

The more I think about my proposition actually works for T2 orgs tho, they really can increase people's participation in T2 and not just watch T1

posted 10 months ago

Fair enough πŸ˜‚

posted 10 months ago

Common ground as in?

posted 10 months ago

maybe they should hold event in where they're based on at the moment, e.g if G2 valorant team is based on Studio in LA while your org is based in EU maybe they should market themselves more in LA and encourages more participation from the fanbases in LA.

I think if MIBR , Loud etc want to make their stint in LA worthwhile maybe they should start reaching to the NA fanbases to instead of just holding onto BR fanbase.

posted 10 months ago

This doesnt just apply to Valorant, this also applies to every esports and orgs out there

posted 10 months ago

The move needs to make sense, it's either Smoggy comm in Japanese and knock his performance down or the whole Zeta comm in Chinese and the team go from losing against DFM to losing against Igzist πŸ’€πŸ’€

posted 10 months ago

I see, maybe they can do events like mass online coaching?? That also encourages particpation. Maybe get 1 or 2 pros to coach fans who are interested, or probably like Sentinels' Tenz and Zekken vs 5 Bronze players, etc

posted 10 months ago

Tenzou to GE ( GE can capitlize on Jp fanbase, assuming that Tenzou going to T1 will make him popular)
Yoshiii to TS ( unrealistic tbh)
Yotaa to GM8 ( remove takas)
Akame to T1 ( welp Sayaplayer already out)
Tixx to GE ( GE is open)
Lumo to one of the EMEA teams

it's pretty easy when your region is full of imports πŸ’€

posted 10 months ago

Holy that was fast, what was it about?

posted 10 months ago

Some orgs have concentrated fanbase e.g 90% of the fanbase are in Tokyo, etc . Which is good because orgs can organize events like having fan meeting, or even personal training by orgs themselves ( yes, it exists, Sengoku did this before(?)) and fans can participate easier because they live near the place.

Which is why I think other orgs should concentrate their business on a smaller scale while at the same time reaching a wider fanbase in order to take advantage of the economies of scale of being a business that relies a lot on the internet.

Assumptions :

  1. Orgs have to be Headquartered near where the fanbase are, which is why they need to secure their foothold in the place they started at.
  2. .... let me think

Might be cooking , might be yapping

At least they still earn something lol, releasing demon1 for free when koi wants him losses you more money.

posted 10 months ago

If KOI actually pays for the buyout , it make sense for NRG to actually keep demon1 as an active player.

That's an agency, not a team

First of all massive W for northeption, after destroying 3 players' career πŸ˜‚, Northeption starts to redeem themselves
Second, the future of Valorant is here and it's in Japan πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

I don't even know who actually participates in that event, is it just T2 ? Is it CC tournament? or mix?
