the one time you beat sen in franchising it didn’t even matter cause they still qualified to champs over you
it’s not that he’s overpowered, he’s just too flexible
other controllers are too niche and barley picked
if it’s not an astra map, brim map, or viper map, then it’s an omen map
the best way to make other controllers more viable is to buff other controllers and rework omen to make him less flexible and more niche

i had an idea for less of a nerf and more of a rework to make omen more niche like the other controllers.
my idea is to give omen less range for smokes, but make him more powerful in compensation
at least 1/2 the smoke range
+4 sec smoke duration
blind travels slightly faster
-1 ult point required for ult
i have no idea if this is a good idea or not, but I do think the best way to "fix" the amount of omen use is to make him less flexible, since that is the main reason he is picked over other controllers

idk man try pressuring mid or taking more space on site
very defender sided but it just feels more comfortable to take space than abyss or breeze

sure, it is an "off season" event, but no other off season event had qualifiers with all but 3 t1 teams participating, and it has a much better format than other off season events
i believe ewc plans weren’t finalized until after the schedule for this year was made, so they didn’t plan for a sizeable gap in the year for it.
but since it’s already locked in for the next two years, it will probably have better scheduling
well g2 is already (pretty much) guaranteed to qualify for next year, and 2g will most likely not even make top 8 unless spike becomes prime aspas

i gaurentee that -zellsis will have a negative impact on sen
i wouldn’t say so, it was just because they constantly couldn’t get past 5-6th every tournament, so people just expected the same result from them. i’d say it would be crazier if drx had won champs
having mid in brazil and not s0n is delusion to a new level
using team achievement gives a better idea of a players impact in a team, rather than just performances.
like for sure boaster is not the second most skilled player oat, but he definitely has some characteristics that make whatever team he's on more likely to win.

there a lot of prize money and all but 3 teams in t1 participated in qualifiers, but there are some questionable format choices, so i'd say a bit below 8 team masters but much better than regular off season tourneys

if 2024 used this years champion points system, the only change would be that 100t goes to champs as 3rd seed instead of kru (sen still goes as 4th).
all other seeding stays the exact same
tenz aces every round and completely solos the entire map, riot cancels prx v fnc cause the true champion was here all along.
i feel like i want fnatic to win more but i would be sadder if prx lost
the entire top 3 is in your bottom 4 try again
theoretically if tl does better than th in stage two or vit has an insane comeback it could be difficult for heretics
why aren’t any of the ag players on there? making a 62 player roster work flexibly and getting 5th-6th is a crazy feat
