Ya this is a good point too. I wonder what would’ve happened if art and koala couldn’t do what they did even 1 of the games if Alym would be the same. Feel like he’s still lacking some confidence as a player and makes mistakes but it’s good he’s fixing it slowly

posted 4 months ago

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team with 2 players top of FKPR like this and their first deaths are low too.

No wonder Furia are making their wins look so easy Alym and Koalanoob are giving Furia these insane leads while not dying. Should be high risk high reward but they are both low risk high reward while being as aggressive.

I love this team so much but I am stressing out they still have the big 3 potentially if they lose to MIBR and I’m worried if they don’t qualify because of the expectations set now that they might crumble as a squad. Potentially 15 maps and you end up losing out is literally team killing/roster change certainty I feel like.

posted 4 months ago

I’ve watched a lot of the Shaw vids and Koalanoobs streams.. trust me. The way they make it sound basic will never be a replacement this year (they obviously said stuff in the nicest way possible)

TLDR his English is nowhere near ready and he also lacks a lot of stuff in game from trials

My best guess would be a +JonahP or any other good player that may fit the role

posted 4 months ago

He was playing random agents on Tejo Breach meta while his team ran it on NO maps. He’s said NAVIs game plan was default every round and by the time they grouped up, they had 0 utility and he just went in dry. How is any player able to succeed like that?

The no outlaw thing is pretty ridiculous and he literally didn’t OP on NAVI at all. I think if he went back they’d use him more correctly but glad to see peoples opinion of him changing now. He was always good he just needs to be let free and let him abuse what he’s incredible at

posted 4 months ago

Ya it’s not even worth it obviously historically zekken has been proven in T1 and internationally but right now koala looks better. Does it mean he actually is? No idea lol. Time will tell

posted 4 months ago

Can’t argue with these ones. Have a good day

posted 4 months ago

Almost like I said right now and not historically.. can you read?

posted 4 months ago

Who do you guys got winning? Map pool is very similar so should get the “best of the best” quality games.

I’m gonna give my take on the players head to head RIGHT NOW (not historically) I wanna hear your takes!

Team play wise I feel like Furia > MIBR from what we’ve seen. Furia look like a well oiled unit right now.

Player H2H is most likely this
Alym < Aspas
Koalanoob >= Zekken
Eeiu =< Verno
Nerve < Mazino
Art > Tex

MIBR got the better skill but Furia if they can keep it up look like a really really strong fundamentally well team so could go either way.

Who you guys got??

posted 4 months ago

Whyre people acting like Furia haven’t played bo5s before? Koalanoob has played multiple bo5s to qualify for ascension and play in ascension, same with eeiu + he made an international. Artzin obviously I don’t even need to say but he will be fine. It’s just the 2 rookies in nerve and alym that have 1 bo5 and that was them failing to qualify to ascension in a 5 map series.

Sure when you compare it to the other guys on MIBR it’s a lot less but they have played them and they know what it feels like.

posted 4 months ago

They work so well with each other 1 is a crazy OP player the other is a crazy rifle entry

posted 5 months ago

Feel like Alym Koalanoob is the only double duelist duo to go toe to toe with Aspas zekken right now

posted 5 months ago

Furia dismantling everyone and beat G2 who’s destroying NRG.

Are they rightfully top 2 right now with MIBR or do we have to wait to see them in this bo5?

posted 5 months ago

It’s true but let a man dream

posted 5 months ago

-Asuna +koalanoob smokes

Cryo Timo and Koala DEADLIEST TRIO

posted 5 months ago

I get your point also! At the end of the day, we are outside of what happens but the way I took all the info I’ve seen is basic just isn’t ready as a player for T1 yet and I think Furia are doing all this for him because of the potential and him being in LA can see their scrims how they work etc.

Maybe I’m wrong and he joins but I think if nerve is replaced I really don’t think it’ll be basic. Super hyped about him though and if he does join it’s for obviously good reasons like he slotted in well with the guys

posted 5 months ago

If you’ve listened to podcasts from Shaw or watched Koalanoob streams he’s said his English still isn’t high enough of a level yet and he also did trials with basic before the Furia roster was formed and they came to the conclusion he wasn’t ready yet. If that statement means in game what could’ve changed in 4 months while he was in Brazil?

I’d bet on Furia replacing nerve with a different player than basic.

posted 5 months ago

The answers these players have given make it sound like even if nerve was to somehow be replaced (the only way I can see this is if they lose b2b2b to not qualify) basic is NOT gonna be the replacement. His English isn’t up to par at all and lacks a lot of fundamentals still. He trialed for Furia again this year to be on the main roster and didn’t get the spot (Koalanoob said on stream he scrimmed with him but the guys didn’t think he was ready yet) so that should make you understand where they rate basic right now.

posted 5 months ago

Close but I’d say

  1. Koalanoob
  2. Aspas
3.Dgzin (only cause he’s played more right now than Neon)
  3. Neon
posted 5 months ago

Co-igl isn’t what’s needed I think it’s just a glue guy with more experience.

Art igls and apparently koala takes over hard in the mid round so they are fine there. I’m sure the other guys all talk a little too but Jonah’s experience will help so much

posted 5 months ago

And viper would most likely be the role he slots into at furia because nerve is on it. So more experience and probably a little better individually too

posted 5 months ago

It’s an obvious choice but the way these guys make it sound Basic isn’t gonna play this year. It sounds like he needs more time to improve English and improve in game play on a fundamental level.

posted 5 months ago

Artzin is their igl nerve was igl off season and Furia was struggling super hard

posted 5 months ago

I view Jonah as an experienced VERY good support player. I think individual skill will be similar to Nerves I know he’s not Leo. Eeiu koala Alym and Art have enough firepower now they just need more support and Jonah is incredible at that.

Who do you think Furia should get if they were to make a change? Not here to argue just like to hear other people’s opinion!

posted 5 months ago

This roster could genuinely be an international winning roster. Jonah breathe of fresh air having selfless players and a whole new environment could be the reset he needs from G2

posted 5 months ago

This is exactly what I was thinking also. I think that might end up happening if they lose.

posted 5 months ago

I’m a #1 Koalanoob and Furia glazer but I’ll be serious for a second even tho I believe they can make it.

If Furia manage to lose b2b2b BO5s and not qualify do you think that they’ll make a player swap? If so who is getting replaced and who is joining. I really don’t think it’ll be basic because it’s been said his English is really rough right now and doesn’t seem ready to jump to T1 yet despite his mechanics. So what will Furia do?

posted 5 months ago

Bro obviously it might just be sweet talk but koala always talks about how Furia is the best org hes been on so far. I really don’t see a world where basic comes in unless the team completely falls apart. Again, could be sweet talk to the org so anything is possible but.

posted 5 months ago

It’s funny because you’d think the primary duelist is the OP player but Alym knows where his strengths lie in entrying and doesn’t have an ego to take the OP away from koala. Utilizing every players strength to the maximum on this roster.

posted 5 months ago

I hope we see this Furia for the rest of the year it’s actually been a breathe of fresh air watching them play. Entertaining players but super good fundamentals backed by it. Perfect balance

posted 5 months ago

Just because a player underperforms in another region doesn’t mean it’s harder lol. Koalanoob has said countless times on stream he viewed the game differently than ANGE1 and they also didn’t use all of his strengths as a player. They ran double smokes in a broken Tejo breach and he just tpd with nothing.

This kickoff NA definitely looks better and ahead of EU doesn’t matter what players are now “dominating” a diff region

posted 5 months ago

He was on 90 ping and koala was a build legend and erde was a pot player back then so it kinda makes sense

posted 5 months ago

Koala was 10 hearting erde in build but losing in pot then they went to do 3v3 skirmishes with luk cauanzin art and it was one of the most hilarious streams ive watched in a while

posted 5 months ago

It’s just duelists have a way harder time the more utility that comes in the game and the more fundamentally better teams get it’s hard to stay consistent nowadays as a duelist depending on the type of team you have AND face

posted 5 months ago

God the map pools are so similar bro it’s gonna be such a cinema match

posted 5 months ago

If Furia keep doing what they are doing 100% can win.

Any map where Koalanoob vs Aspas OP can happen will be entertaining and close.

Other maps where Koala is more suppressed role wise I see it being more close unless Alym becomes the god everyone is hyping him up to be

posted 5 months ago

It’s gonna be a close and fun series that’s for sure. Both teams seem to have a similar map pool so it will be such a treat to watch. Furia to Santiago will make me so happy

posted 5 months ago

No. Artzin is the igl

posted 5 months ago

I can see basic replacing nerve in the future but no way he replaces right now considering their results especially if they make masters. It’s just them having the opportunity to have him and be ready if things go bad

posted 5 months ago

I was watching during that time. He seems way too nice to just say “basic isn’t starting even tho he’s living here now” and sounded uncomfortable talking about it. To me he just felt bad saying what the reality probably is.

posted 5 months ago

I missed tonight but he has plenty of hilarious moments like that

posted 5 months ago

I love his streams he’s hilarious replies to every singular chat msg and he just casually fries everyone this guys too nice

posted 5 months ago

Ya after kickoff somethings gonna happen if they lose out for sure

posted 5 months ago

Yeah I can’t see it happening this season also probably he’s enjoying his time on Furia but next season if Furia start to slow down that’d be a sick roster to think about

posted 5 months ago

If G2 lose today and don’t qualify can’t they just throw the bag at koalanoob and it fits their team really well. I know Furia is doing great and might qualify as first seed so if that happens no way this is a possibility but if the worst case scenario happens.

Jaw can go back to hard entry duelists and be comfortable again and koalanoob can permanently OP. He’s very flexible and quite literally does everything babybay does but WAY better.

posted 5 months ago

He was koalas coach for 3 years

posted 5 months ago

AND I JUST REAliZED HES NOW FACING HAPPY IN THE FINALS? THIS IS A CINEMA RUN

posted 5 months ago

His op is better than both of theirs right now (Aspas is close) as an overall it’s pretty close but yeah koala shines with an OP and even tho his rifle is way better than past years he’s still behind there

posted 5 months ago

He said it best: They didn’t agree on meta and were making him play in a way that doesn’t suit his strengths. Both sides are clearly doing good now at least.

posted 5 months ago

Also this guy apparently is the hardest worker on Furia says Shaw and he is the most vocal on the team. This guys value and stocks are going through the roof this season
