What’s your reasoning? You think they just won’t be as good as kickoff or just all these issues + the international pressure is too much for them right now?
Yeah same warming up is always good especially for a rookie team like this but I still rate them higher again and as long as they get through the first match they can really do something
Now that Alym is coming we definitely can rate them higher again but I’m worried that they might be a little off because they skip to playoffs and if I had to guess they haven’t been practicing for a while now. I know koala said he had a decent amount of time off on a stream pre Santiago and with the alym news I doubt they practiced.
Where do we rate them standing wise?

I’ve been watching nerves and koalas stream in Santiago yesterday and I’m 99% positive that Alym just is not there and that leak was true. People have entered the room and it’s not once been him and in their chats people keep asking if Alym not being there is true and they constantly ignore it.
What a sad situation for this squad I bet they can’t even practice and are just praying that a miracle happens where he shows up. Hopefully they can still pull off a run even with basic

Is he having visa issues? Furia posted a photo of the players at the airport but he wasn’t seen and there was also a post a few days back.
Luckily for Furia they automatically make playoffs so Riot can hopefully fix the issue otherwise it seems like basic might need to sub. Really sucks if that’s the case they worked so hard.

Ah gotcha thanks for the clarification! Makes more sense when you put it like that. Hopefully Furia keep it up but if they start to slow down internationally yeah I mean koala and maybe eeiu are the two I see doing similar things domestically.
It feels weird to say and I obviously have bias but I feel like koalanoob not being top 10 is so weird to me. He is pretty much the main reason Furia made it to masters and his flexibility on multiple agents while performing on all of them is pretty crazy. + probably top 1-2 OP in the world right now. Hopefully he continues to do this at masters
Oh I agree my point is when Yoru is nerfed are they gonna keep koala on controller where he’s frying or put him chamber and he continues to OP because Alym can’t. That’ll change their whole dynamic tho and clearly nobody is as good at smokes. They tried that off season and it looked rough
How does this team decide what maps to run single duelist vs double duelist?
Alym is a beast of a player but his OPing is nowhere near Koalas if it’s even good at all but Furias best maps are when Koalas on Omen (minus split Yoru) so how does this team even know what to prioritize when it comes to comps. I’ve never seen any omen player have stats like koalas (kickoff + check all time) but his OPing on Yoru is so impactful.
I’m worried when and if Yoru is nerfed he’ll be permanent smokes which clearly he’s good at but he won’t be the teams main OP anymore which Alym clearly seems to struggle at on single duelist maps. Hopefully doesn’t make Furia struggle long term post kickoff.
I’ve been a Koalanoob super fan since ghost/m80 I’ll be fine I follow where he goes not just a bandwagon

No koalanoob is crazy this guys the biggest reason Furia even had a chance to make Santiago and is looking like top 5 player in the world + best OP player
I don’t think you actually see the first kills Furia gets. They aren’t 50/50 koala always puts himself in spots to get 1 and get out and whenever you see alym go for fights he generally has eeiu supporting him.
I do agree they are pretty exec heavy but their defaults are pretty annoying never really giving the other team much info

As for G2 I feel like this is their bandaid fix which is working and obviously I could be wrong but I feel like changes are inevitable after this year.
If not these 2 teams then 100T or even C9 if you wanna go with no teams that didn’t qualify.

I think 50/50
Some people would have more hope but the same issue arises I feel like
Koala had an ok NAVI run but people still considered him meh as a player
Artzin had a good year qualification wise but performed pretty rough
People would say eeiu is in jail
Alym young rookie so skeptical but promising
Nerve would get the most heat like he has been people seem to really undervalue him (myself included but glad to be proven wrong)
I’m saying only if Furia are out of partnership or if something happens to the team obviously I know he’ll be loyal to Furia
Koala was literally top 5 stats in T2 for the 2 years he played + top of stats in ascension..? Yeah he was mid on NAVI but everyone now can see he clearly wasn’t the problem and it was the NAVI system.
It’s okay to be skeptical still but what he’s doing right now is exactly what it was on M80
If you can’t see in these 4 games of kickoff that 1. He’s a top 3 OPer in the world right now 2. His awareness is out of control 3. From what coaches and analysts have said he has insane communication
His impact is clearly insane in and out of the game
Yeah NRG was the big one for me literally perfect replacement for Keiko if he goes to Europe
If Furia lose partnership in 2027 or if their team just falls apart later on in the season, what team do you see koala joining?
In my opinion he’d be a huge addition to G2 or NRG if Keiko decides to go back to Europe.
G2 he adds more voice to the team as a second caller w/ Valyn + hes incredibly flexible
NRG similar answer 2nd voice to Ethan and he slots in pretty perfectly to Keikos role

I just listened to the press conference of Furia after winning and man the entire team especially Shaw praises koala so hard. His work ethic, attitude in and out of game and the value he brings in the server seems like even more than I thought. Shaw said this Furia rebuild started with Shaw aiming for koala before any other player because after their meeting he knew that this is a player he needs on the team.
So happy for my goat I hope they do damage in Santiago

It’s totally fine to have your opinion bro! Trust me I’m obviously a big fan of koala so there’s more bias but I obviously admit his mid performance in EU. If you watched the Furia games the impact he is bringing is absurd and to top it off he’s basically co-igling with Artzin all the analysts say how they hear this guy give insane comms like a machine so it makes sense why he got another chance.
Everybody who has eyes can clearly see koala is playing how he was on M80. In his interviews he talked about the struggles of NAVI and quite literally no duelist will be able to succeed the way it was. If he was lying someone on NAVI would’ve spoken out but he’s also on good terms with them and they also probably know they didn’t utilize him how he should’ve been.
Ya he played pretty fucking mid on NAVI but so many factors out of his control there’s a reason he’s the MVP right now in NA
Bro literally tried to pull out NAVI matches when everyone can clearly see now that NAVI is the issue for duelists not the duelists themself. Also show the other EWC games prior to that where he went +20 both games.

I’m so happy for him… been supporting him forever and to see him finally make a Masters and prove himself is just amazing. Hard worker, humble and always uplifts his teammates more than his individual play. (Was only positive guy on Furia and top kills in series btw)
