i would love to see an OCE team in VCT, but not getting picked over an SA team.

SA brings in some of the highest viewership percentages in APAC, and it is still a growing market, not having a representation in a market which has huge potential to grow in coming years, would be a blunder.

if this happens, then the T1 teams that are partnered who will not be permanent, will just leave the scene, and just like 10 tier-2 teams per region will exist from then on. Most T-1 teams cant afford current rosters without the RITO partnership money.

if we take GE for example, suppose GE isn't permanent anymore, they will release their main team, they will go all in on Indian and a few International players, and they will probably get the best Indian players. this means talent is sucked out of SA, to go into this Non-Permanent system, that god-knows wont work. this means GE can farm in VCSA because they have money, and its gg for the other teams. So GE is in this weird spot, where they have a lot of money for VCSA but they will never make it to internationals.

this whole "make it more open" thing is just gonna make everything worse. and any SA fan wouldn't have an org to root for.

I mean there is also that, most non-stable orgs cant sustain long term, and just disband, that can't happen in VCT, and Riot isn't gonna bail them out.

Everyone keeps saying GE is getting the boot in 2027 but there's literally no chance.

GE is the only stable SA org that makes sense for partnership.

The alternatives :-

-> VLT has no management
-> S8UL has zero PC esports history
-> RNTX doesn't have the backing
-> Reckoning isn't big enough
-> Asterisk is too small rn

Riot isn't gonna throw away the entire SA market. GE already has the fanbase, the infrastructure, and the financial stability. Partnership isn't about team performance - it's about organizational stability, and GE is literally the only option that checks all boxes.

They're not competing with other SA orgs, they're competing with nobody because there's no realistic alternative. SA gets a spot and GE is the only one who can fill it.

Reckoning is not popular enough to get that spot anyways. Asterisk is too small rn, but they have a bright future.

GE management is just hated because they release players?? (i mean, if they dont work out, they can't just keep them, when they are either getting better opportunities elsewhere. Like for instance they released the Academy team because players got better offers, and they didn't want to hold them back, have you seen any other org in VCT do that?)

Pretty cool having someone with his experience just chilling with the squad. He's been super supportive of the whole community-driven thing we got going on, so shoutout to him for that.
