rustybucket259 seems to have little watching experience, so I oversimplified the explanation so he doesn't get confused, since I wouldn't think he would know MAD.

Good question. It's because other pros have developed in the tier 2 scene for their respective region, while N4RRATE was considered a rank demon for a long time (similar case to GEN Karon) and scouted directly to tier 1 for KC in 2024.
Any other questions?
excel stuff + a bit of R/Python (still tryna learn, im terrible at it) + copy pasting some data from individual player pages :(
I'm a big stats nerd :D
honestly down to do this for other regions if enough people request for it
jesus i know he called you a rard first but please chill π
Everyone talks about who has the most kills and whatnot, but what about the most deaths? Keep in mind that this is just for fun.
I'm only going to cover currently rostered AMER pros over their lifetime career (incl. t2/open/offszn)
edited because I forgot to put a few dashes to separate ign and death count

solid picks, on the topic of LOUD players, my favorite is LLL pANcada's 1v3 @ Masters ReykjavΓk v. OPTC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vmiWceuG94
I would rate this: β
β
β
β
β
β
β
β
β
β (Absolute CINEMA)
explanation: insane clutch, its THE iconic boathouse clutch after all, with high stakes. The 2nd kill is just chef's kiss, the transfer is unforgettable.
Here are my personal ratings of these (+ links for any lurkers who want them):
BLD sScary 1v4 ACE Clutch v. SZ @ '23 PAC Ascension FINALS

β
β
β
β
β (Absolute CINEMA)
explanation: insane clutch on match point to give BLD the map win, bonus points for being an ACE + being ascension finals (career is at stake), but some throws by the enemies make it not a perfect clutch
LOUD tuyZ 1v3 Clutch v. KRU @ '25 AMER Kickoff Upper R1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QYtt70tXbE
rating: β
β
β
β
β
β
β
βββ (Spectacular)
explanation: in my opinion, was a basic 1v3, KRU kind of (?) threw considering keznit could've thrown his nade way sooner and they could have played that defuse better. still bumped it up to 7/10 for his third kill being faster by a split moment, confusing the audience/casters
LOUD tuyZ 1v3 Clutch v. FNC @ Champs LA Lower Semis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXDu6hA4u1U
rating: β

β
β
β
β
β
ββ (Phenomenal)
explanation: I love this clutch a lot, veryyy smooth, sweeping motion tuyZ makes to steal the round from FNC. Bonus point for being in Champs Semis, since the very definition of clutch is when you do it in a high-pressure scenario.
Sacy actually had three clutches during Champs Istanbul:
LOUD Sacy 1v1 Clutch v. OPTC @ Champs Istanbul GF
https://youtu.be/AxUmh9UJ8ZQ?si=vFvoam7ZyxLPohIq&t=2460
rating: β
β
ββββββββ (Ordinary)
explanation: not really a clutch, just a delayed trade
LOUD Sacy 1v1 Clutch v. OPTC @ Champs Istanbul GF
https://youtu.be/AxUmh9UJ8ZQ?si=Nr-ype3Xc4lVJDAd&t=3915
rating: β
β
β
βββββββ (Ordinary)
explanation: same as above, but the hop made it funny, bumped it up.
LOUD Sacy 1v3 Clutch v. OPTC @ Champs Istanbul GF

rating: β

β

β
ββ (Phenomenal)
explanation: the only reason why I couldn't give this vintage sacy clutch any higher despite being a GF clutch was because Victor hard threw (slightly whiffage) on Sacy at long, and the fact that crashies/Victor gave Sacy ones. Still insane.
im livid when it comes to hating frost, and Hector's character is ROCK BOTTOM, but he's a fundamentally sound coach.
yes, its practical and a smart play, albeit disappointing that they could've forced another ult.
also, they are broke on econ next round, forced to save, and NS has full info + full control of site (and all chokes)
Although it's hard to decipher what he's saying, I think he's asking if:
there will be a team that is performing bad/historically performed bad that will find a resurgence in APAC, and if it would be enough to fare well on the international stage.
his time at T1 proved his mettle IMO, that's a lot of people including me are basing off of, not off-season
OP's idea is far from functional, but Rossy is a scan initiator and a proper (almost traditional) IGL.
do you have the link? i can translate anything KR to ENG
also, autumn was the one who called for the ENG-speaking roster and wasted so much talent in the KR sphere
DRX biased but ardiis 1v3 on arguably the most iconic overtime, 2022 ascent DRX v FPX
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kY61_L5_9os
never gets old
me neither, I'm a Sylvan hater. scrim (supposedly) beast yet I never see it convert and show on the big stage. there's that and there's also my burning hatred for autumn as a coach. he just seems so lost in the loop IMO, and his timeout timings are terrible at times.
hot (and it hurts me to say as a BuZz/stax megafan) take: T1 is slightly overrated
watch this take backfire once they beat DRX πβοΈ
clearly paragraph breaks aren't the issue at hand here... surely...
hoooooooly shit how far we've fallen as humankind
Impractical, I think you're stuck up on the fact that CN is getting explosive support (due to being Rito's cash cow) despite their overall lack of skill.
Hey! I don't know if others would count me since I'm Korean-American (live in California, but both my parents are purely Korean), other than the fact that I'm fluent in Korean and tight with my culture.
Thanks for the shout though.
word, but I'd also add some SEA countries as a shout, including thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia especially
i've been waiting three VCT seasons for this resurgence
I'm trying to learn how to beatbox quick (impress people if I'm in a pinch in a social gathering or smth) and I've been inspired by GBB '23 and '24 to start
any tips? so far, I can do the general basics (b t k k' f pf etc) but I'm struggling with being "fluent" with them, and making clear yet fast sounds
unlikely that I see any beatboxers, but its worth a try :p
wtf ive gotta use milquetoast in my daily convo
for their time/in comparison to other teams at the time either no or on par
comparing it to nominal firepower regardless of how they were for their time, definitely

glad i could clear the air up, and my post was moreso directed towards any people who might've not understood the difference in culture
i lowk see both sides, you got memed on bc u said a couple controversial takes with reasonable backing
unfortunately social media is a place where the controversial get clowned on, and hivemind mentality is always stronger than any reason or rhyme
keep up the good work
refer to #9, yes, I was very unclear why I was replying and I kinda sounded condescending unintentionally
yes, i did. I was assuming that ryandr was mentioning east asian as a generalization with the assumption that china has a different crowd culture. personally thought that was VERY obvious considering VCT has had an entire masters in Shanghai, as well as an entire region held there for their own franchise league.
in hindsight, could've phrased my intentions better, my fault
despite how much haters you have, this is a W analysis
appreciate it
korean entertainment was my go-to source, but definitely having korean parents in an American environment definitely bolstered my fluency tenfold :p
not true, china β korea, just bc they're both east asian doesn't mean crowd culture is similar
china tends to have more of a "roaring crowd" type culture (well, in comparison to JP/KR), while korea is still very reserved (though japan is the most reserved), because koreans believed that it was decent etiquette the let performers (in this case esports players) focus until a few years ago. i would guess that Korean crowd culture would be more westernized in a few years.
