Shahzam confirmed rumors of matchfixing. i believe his dms were leaked, and some people blame him to this day for ruining the csgo careers of steel/dazed/brax/AZK, especially brax who was very young at that time. but they honestly got what they deserved + shahzam was only a minor player in the entire affair.

keep core until shanghai. if they don't qualify or get very close to qualifying to shanghai, consider rebuilding around boostio. 100t have the curse where excellent players become mid when they get on the team, and then become amazing once they leave. rebuild around t2 talent so that the curse is reversed and mid players become amazing. consider mce.

TSM is trying to reenter Valorant, and they're signing the players they trialed with right before they left the scene + parts of their old roster. I think this includes seven + gmd + poised (old trial) and 1-2 new people. I believe TSM told many trialed players, including screwface/lear/clear that they were set to be on the team, but changed their minds last minute. There could have been even more trials but these three players were confirmed to be dropped right before challengers. Many people think the abrupt decisions were made by poised + gmd and were going ham on twitter, but it could also be decisions made by the TSM coaching staff.

What's worse is players like screwface and lear were already on qualified challengers team trying to make it to ascension and left their teams after tsm promised them spots. now that tsm dropped them last minute, they can't go back to their old teams because their spots have already been filled, leaving them teamless this event.

  1. they already qualified, so losing isn't as punishing, which is why they seem very positive after losing.
  2. they tried to antistrat sen HARD on sunset. first it was loud's map pick. notice the bomb plant next to halls. not a single person on loud on-site for post-plant, almost ever on A. sen's retake floods site with layered flashes and mollies for every corner, so loud tried to save as much util (mollies) as possible and deny the post plant. it worked for a few rounds but sentinels just started smoking halls off and tapping the bomb until loud burned their util. and the phoenix comp just doesn't work when his ult really gets as much info as a sova drone if sen always maximizes retakes and plays offsite.

i agree. sentinels should've won 13-5 on split. 100t showed a few good rounds and won 3 unwinnable clutch rounds where sentinels were completely lost, but sentinels just look so much more coordinated overall.

Their attack rounds are 90% of the time take some control of one map area and immediately transition to slow mid-rounding that reacts to noise. They do the same reactive defaults, hoping for different results each time, and MIBR takes a nap until C9 does something. Half of the time, MIBR has perfect reads because of this. The few times C9 takes a site, MIBR plays a full retake, and they almost always win. C9 lacks communication and awareness in the late rounds/post-plant, where everything falls apart if MIBR has an ounce of an idea about their setup.

Mibr just keeps reading them HARD - on Split, there's just no ingenuity. I think the methodical and slow defaults are what Sentinel's Split suffered from half a year ago, except that Sentinels could at least out-aim and win unwinnable rounds.

There is some lack of awareness and pretty bad midrounding, especially on attack. multiple impatient peeks without Skye util, giving up ideal space to play slow default with the team. Also, very boring 4-1 defaults, and the few times they went mid, either there are not enough people to contest or Mibr hard reads and picks off the entire team.

Last time I saw Less in champions he looked so young with his innocent baby face and messy haircut. Just went on his stream and now he looks like a 35 year old married man with a kid on the way, a full time construction job, and probably drinks with his friends at the bar every friday night.

he also said that he wanted to learn towards content creation because it was more financially secure than going full pro, especially in the terrible franchising environment that has been killing off the tier two scene. but he also explicitly said that he was completely open to and in fact willing to play pro whenever there was a chance. being the sixth man was just a more secure position, and now that he's proven what value he can bring to the team, he has proven he definitely belongs in the professional scene.

they could make a 6th man roster like drx did but that didnt work out too well. so we cant definitively say who gets dropped. i also doubt sen will immediately drop one of their starting roster players unless performances drop drastically throughout the season. we will have to see

no one said this was a roster selection process. but looking at how sen is doing WITH him highlights how insane of a player he is. even if he doesnt end up on sen later on any team will be 100 times better if they sign him

If anything, zellsis DEFINITELY deserves to be on the starting roster. he has had on average the highest impact of all sen players in this tourney and is always so consistent. Even better he always seems to be improving match after match. Idk how the roster will end up but sen are crazy if they think he belongs as a 6th man.

I'm assuming it's simple summation. On the bottom is a i = a number. that is the number you start with. On top of the sigma symbol is another number. that is the number you end with. Plug in the number you start with (this case it is i = 1) into the equation, and after simplifying, you get a number. Now continue plugging in integers starting from i = 1 until you reach the number on top. You should have a new number every time you plug in a new integer. now add all your answers up and you get the sum.

So for the first problem plug in i = 1 into i^2i+e^i * isin(2i). you have a number. next plug in i = 2. you will have a new number. keep doing that until you reach i = 6 where you have 6 different numbers. add them together.

The last problem you have to do this twice because you have two variables. Do the summation for the innermost ones and then you should have a bunch of different terms added together with the variable i. Do the same thing with the outer summation.

Tourists who follow the directions and rules given to them are in absolutely no danger at all. Sure they are constantly under surveillance, but this further adds a sense of security (of course if you are not breaking the rules). Crime rates are nonexistent because of the fear of extreme prosecution. You are among mindless, apprehensive, and uneducated citizens who do not dare lay a finger on you. Danger is only present when lawlessness if present, and in a country whose strict laws are its worshipped religion, you yourself are the greatest danger.

  1. Yes. Static friction prevents gravity from accelerating the blocks because the force of static friction is greater than that of gravity.

The coefficient is kinda like a constant, sitting in between F(fs) = μ(s) * F(N), and showing that static friction and normal force are proportional: the higher the normal force and thereby weight, the more friction (thats why a heavy object is harder to push along a surface, requiring more force to overcome static friction). I would say that just keep in mind the higher the coefficient (usually a number between 0 and 1), the higher the force of friction. But, for the most case, it is primarily used for calculation purposes and nothing more, so don't worry too much about it.

  1. Use the diagram. Treat the force of gravity as positive and kinetic friction as negative. Fnet = ma. F(gravity on m2) - F(kinetic friction on m1) = (m1+m2) * a. plug the numbers in from there. You should know the formulas for the forces, but the ap test will provide you with them so you dont have to necessarily memorize them 100%.

To make calculations easier, treat the system as both of the blocks. Now imagine getting rid of the pulley in the middle as the tension does not matter (it actually cancels out). You would have two blocks attached by a string in the middle each with a force acting left and right. m2 will be the block on the right (positive direction), m1 the block on the left (negative direction). There are a total of two forces acting on the object, either kinetic/static friction on m1 ,depending on whether the block moves, and the force of gravity on m2.

The diagram should look something like F(friction) <-[m1]------[m2]-> F(gravity on m2). Now the two parts of the problems tests your knowledge on the two types of friction. You should know that on a surface with friction, a stationary object will experience static friction in the opposite direction when a force is acted upon it. The object will only accelerate from rest when that force is greater than the threshold of static friction. F > μ(s)*F(N) for the object to accelerate (imbalanced forces). If the force acting upon the object is less than or equal to the force of static friction, the object will not accelerate from rest (Note: normally, when two forces are equal and in the opposite direction, an object can either be nonmoving or be moving at a constant velocity with no acceleration. This is not the case for static friction, which can only be overcome when the force is greater than friction). On the other hand, kinetic friction will occur when an object is already moving.

Now with that in mind, the force of static friction is acting on the object in the first part of the problem when the system is at rest. μ(s)F(N) = m1 g μ(s) = 54.88 N. On the right side, the force of gravity only acts upon m2 (mass of string/pulley negligible). F(g m2) = m2 g = 44.1 N. Since F(static friction on m1) > F(g m2), the entire system will remain at rest with no acceleration (The system does not accelerate to the left even if the force on the left is greater than the right because friction is not a force that accelerates an object FROM rest, rather it accelerates an object TO rest.)

The second part of the problem now deals with kinetic friction, which again only acts upon m1 after m2 is stated to be accelerated downwards by some external force. Now use Newton's 2nd Law again. Fnet = ma. You try figuring out the forces this time for the left hand side (hint: there are two forces). It is also important to note here that on the right hand side, 'm' is the mass of the entire system (both blocks, string mass negligible) because the entire system is going to accelerate from rest, not just one of the blocks. Add the masses of the blocks together and solve for acceleration when done with the force calculations.

Note how the coefficient of static friction is > the coefficient of kinetic friction. This is usually the case, as it is harder to start moving a heavy object than continue to move a heavy object. Once crossing the static friction threshold, moving it requires less force.

Newton's 2nd Law. Fnet = ma, in this case you are doing it in the x axis (the x-axis is slanted parallel to the ramp to make calculations easy, and the y-axis is perpendicular to it)

In the x-direction you have 3 forces. The applied force is pushing the object up the ramp (lets make it positive), and therefore the force of friction is in the opposite direction of your applied force (negative). The 3rd force is the x vector/component of gravity, Fgsinθ, also in the negative direction down the ramp.

The applied force is given at 38N, the x component of gravity is mgsinθ, and the force of kinetic friction is μFN. μ is given as 0.11, and FN (normal force) is equal to the downward force of gravity in the y direction (mgcosθ) since the object is not accelerating in the y-direction. Set that equal to ma (m is given and a is the variable to solve for). So you should have F(applied)-F(friction)-F(x component gravity) = m*a.

I got |3.08 m/s^2| but i didn't check the math so i could be wrong.

EDIT: your steps should look very similar to how you solved your first problem, that originally being F(applied)-F(x component gravity)=m*a. Now you have an extra force of kinetic friction that acts against the applied force on the surface of the ramp, so add that (negative) to the left side of the equation and resolve.

From what I've understand so far it looks like mCe and the c9 Val GM/org had infighting issues regarding the main lineup. When c9 picked up zellsis and yay back last year (along with mCe), they wanted to form a super team of the best players they could get their hands on in each category. mCe probably didn't have an opinion on who to sign, or at least didn't know how the team was going to perform. Their mediocre performance paved way for the very controversial dropping of yay and vanity very soon after, replaced with essentially no-namers in the valorant community back then. C9 let mCe build his own roster (similar to what FNS is planning to do right now) from the ground up. But after failing to make it through NA LCQ, c9 probably wanted to take back the reigns of roster-building from mCe, especially now during roster revamp season.

Now the very recent dropping of mCe and re-signing of vanity evidently highlights the discord between the two parties. It's obvious c9 wants to sign more proven and valuable players on the market while mCe wants to experiment with less proven players of HIS choice. The differing philosophies ultimately end in mCe getting dropped likely due to roster arguments between him and c9 management. I may be going off on a limb, but reading mCe's tweet of his unexpected dropping (when a few days ago most sources expected a rebuild around jakee and mce), it is clear he did not leave c9 on the best of terms. Most players leaving an organization would have mentioned a word of appreciation for the roster and org moving forward; mCe simply states that "unfortunately c9 has not moved forward with him" almost in a condescending tone. The signing of vanity almost adds fuel to the flame as it seems like a hilariously timed final act of spite by signing the very player mCe dropped from the team months earlier.

−11.6 cm/s^2 is what i got but idk if i did the math correct. the idea should be right though.

i used the one of the uniform acceleration equations, displacement = velocity initial time + (1/2) acceleration * time^2 (d = vit + (1/2)at^2). Everything is given to you- the displacement in the x-direction is xf-xi. you have the time interval and initial velocity, so just solve for acceleration.

It's pretty simple with the four main kinematic constant acceleration equations, you just have to get the idea down.
iirc vi*t calculates the intial displacement at the initial velocity over the time interval. But because the object is accelerating, you are gaining more displacement at the increasing speeds over the time interval. Think of it as adding the original displacement of the object if it were traveling at the initial speed (11 cm/s) for 2.45s. But since the object gains velocity from that initial velocity at an acceleration, 1/2at^2 calculates such displacement.

imagine the object traveled at 11cm/s for 2.45s and displaced 26.95 cm. Now imagine we travel at the same speed and displacement right next to the object, treating speed relative. We are both currently traveling at a constant velocity. the object in this scenario gains an imaginary little hand that applies a force and accelerates it. We would begin to see the acceleration because the object gains velocity (in this example we would see the object slow down relative to us because it accelerates in the negative x-direction). That negative displacement from the acceleration is the 1/2at^2 we add to the original displacement at 11cm/s for 2.45s.

disk/washer method and shell method are interchangeable so you can use either of them. just be sure to get the variables correct because they are flipped for the two methods (i.e. if you use shell method on a problem using x as the variable, then y will be the variable for disk/washer method for the same problem). It really depends on the function. If the equation is more complex, try shell method first as you usually (the function could be hollow, in which case, you have to shift the variable) have the integral of just the equation times a variable (r*h). If the equation is simpler, use disk/washer because you have to square it - this works best on square root equations by getting rid of the root after squaring. No matter which one you use, just make sure the volume integral is integrable.
