I lowk think it was because t3xture underperformed the first 3 games that sparked those changes, if he popped off even once in those games then we would have a much different 2023 GE roster.
SEN, FNC, any Chinese org, T1, and TL pretty much, those are all the ones that will pay you hella bag and also make you comfortable.
Well you also gotta consider the fact that tier 2 production was so incredibly ass and the promotion for it wasn't as much as they do for GC, I'm pretty sure that like 2 regions had hella long tech pauses just because the production was so bad especially in Americas. Also GC got hella inflated by people who want to get the drops from the GF, most people only watched for a bit just so they could get the items and didn't even care for the games.
Also GC champs shouldn't really even be an S rated tournament since it's something riot is supposedly trying to use it to "help" people get into tier 2 and tier 1 but all it's doing is just creating a space where they have no point of leaving.
And they somehow managed to fumble both t3xture and monyet would've made a really good team
Lowk if they figured out everyone's comfort roles this team could've actually made a LAN they just overcooked with the 7 man roster. They could've easily beat the likes of T1, GenG, TS, and ZETA to get into Tokyo or might've made champs over ZETA in LCQ.

Riot cares about giving players a chance at tier 1 even if they turn out bad and also about viewership, I doubt riot would kick DFM when they signed the CR roster and then talents from tier 2 this year giving them all a shot.
It's neither really, at the end of the year there is always a team(s) from another region that is better than the best apac team.
2021 - Only decent APAC team was VS and they bombed out
2022 - Not much you can do when OPTIC and LOUD were a thing
2023 - EG was the best team ever made at the time and PRX kind of fell off during the GF
2024 - Every pacific team played like shit
Yeah it’s kind of crazy how riot also uses the main Americas account to stream GC yet no one watches it but won’t stream the tier 2 games on it, it’s just crazy bias towards GC and just neglecting their tier 2 scene even more. Btw them streaming on the main channel doesn’t even help with the viewership much either they get 4k viewers which is what tier 2 on their own channel gets lmao.
Yeah I agree especially since people under 18 aren’t even allowed into VCT having a small ass prize pool doesn’t raise any incentive to play in tier 2 which makes the talent pool much smaller than it should be just because people don’t think it’s worth playing for.
NA tier 2 stage 1 and stage 2 both have a smaller prize pool than NA GC stage 1???? Actually a joke how riot treats T2.

You do realize if their internal problems happened since their match against g2 (realistically in playoffs) then they would've already been in the top 3 at that point lmao. Also the internal problems I'm talking about is the fact that he was leaking everything to his fans trying to blame everything else on the EDG players and org and making him seem like the good guy.
He crashed out on his team and called them all trash or something along those lines, he realized afterwards what he said was wrong and was deeply sorry about it but the damage was already done at that point and they kicked him off the team because of it.

the internal problems started happening AFTER bangkok and s1mon was already crashing out WAY BEFORE they signed the new guy, the EDG players literally stated that they tried to comfort s1mon when he was sad or when he was saying "I can't shoot" or anything like that. Nobody never openly accused s1mon of being a fraud and the entirety of EDG (even the coaches) praised on how good his util was.

s1mon starts messing around and doesn't put in as much effort after winning the biggest event of the year --> starts getting called out by coaches --> crashes out and causes internal problems within the team with fans taking it over the line with the players --> he gets benched (I'm telling you no one wanted him benched on edg they love each other like family) --> new rookie needs to step up and take his place. Somehow all of this equals s1mon wasn't the problem and the org is lmao what is this s1mon alt behavior.
You don't need a mental coach if a player isn't trying that is not the job for a mental coach that is entirely on the player, if it was that easy then 2024 NRG would've been the best team in the world if they had a mental coach doing all of that.
You do realize that they would still need to play against them if they want to make masters right? better to get it over with first then having to deal with it later, if they win they win if they lose then they lose plus it builds confidence if they do win against 2 top 3 teams in americas.
