Exactly. That is the crux of it. Chasing external achievements over everything will never lead to true fullfillment as your mind learned over the years that those are what makes you worth something therefore without them you are nothing. That means your mind will chase more and more of it and never be satisfied. Never at ease. Fearing losing it and falling back into the valueless abyss. Being nothing.
You need to learn to love yourself. Yes, learn. It doesnt come naturally most of the time. Not your achievements, not your looks, not your social status or whatever. Just who you are at your core.

Theres always a bigger fish. That doesn't mean your achievements didnt require lots of effort, dedication and talent. A lot of your peers shared the same struggles and feelings as you, whether those we were openly visible to you or not.
Your value isnt determined by external factors like social skills/status or career achievements anyway. You, inherently as the human you are at your core, have value within. No matter what society has arbitrarily taught you to aspire to be like. Therefore you cannot even be a fraud. Once you truly understand this you will be free and start becoming the best and most fullfilled version of yourself.
Reality is.. different people like different things. If you are a certain way some people will approve but others will look down on you. When you are the opposite way there will still be the same exact split but with sides switched.
