Why is that ironic? What does James have to do with accountability?

Like the whole point is it's not about journalistic value, it's literally just about not being an asshole. James isn't an asshole. What do you think accountability means?

1.15 is insanely high lmao.

If we ignore keznit and AAAY (because they only played 2 matches each and thus less than 100 rounds, so the sample size is too small), aspas was 5th in rating at Champions, topped only by Demon1 (1.23), Leo (1.17), Alfajer (1.17) and Less (1.16).

These stats are supposed to show that he's.....bad?? What? Also

Online group stage matches

??????? He's only played on LAN this year

People really overstate how bad Ange1 was this year, especially concerning FK/FD. During the EMEA league plus playoffs, he was 79/76. At Tokyo, 15/10. LCQ 37/34. Champs 21/29. Besides Champs, his FK/FD ratio was always positive.

Even Gambit was never a great attack team. They were unbeatable on defense, but during their two international runs in Berlin Masters and Champions, their attack sides were carried by nAts lurks and D3ffo pulling some insane performances out of his ass

This game right here marks the beginning of the KPI dynasty, culminating in their triumphant Champions 2025 victory.

As far as I'm aware there's no formal rule against posting scrim clips, it's just a GA. So unless he's already under contract for TS, literally no one has any right to force him to take down the video.

Nah honestly at least compared with EMEA, NA is looking a lot stronger this year. V1 is a better team than C9W was and G2 is significantly worse than they were last year. BBL isn't bad, so we'll have to see, but I think it's reasonable to assume V1 will be the heavy favourites in this one.

He announced that he was looking for opportunities, which might go either way. This is an official announcement that he definitely won't be with Loud next year.

I love Mixwell but let's be honest, he just isn't good enough for tier 1 Valorant.

TH's roster building just didn't make any sense. I get that they wanted Mixwell on the roster for the clout and experience, but if you get an experienced player who isn't an IGL and also doesnt really frag consistently, then I feel like it makes more sense to pair him with young prodigies instead of other washed ex-stars like Av0va and zeek. This roster was doomed to fail from the start.

Nobody is actually filthy though, he's been carrying EDG recently. I could see him becoming a top player globally in 2024.

It's the same with FNC, Boaster is very popular in Japan, he has good relations with a lot of the Asian Valorant scene. That's why they did that whole FNC × Zeta collab, they have a pretty big fanbase in Japan and sell a lot of merch there.

Esports money is tight and JP/KR are huge markets in Valorant, if you have a chance to tap into that you should take it.

People love players like Boostio, who talks a lot of shit, but internally is actually a really nice person and good teammate. Nobody likes people who are just assholes (not saying Less is an asshole, but I feel like that is the impression that a lot of people have of him now)

I queued on Madrid by accident once and it was unironically a pretty good experience. My team seemed nice, like no clue what they were talking about but the vibes were good (when it was just me and one other guy alive they did actually comm in English which was nice as well)

However, ¿Por qué sólo los viernes? Soy maricon todos los días. (Did I do this right?)

NAVI was actually pretty good at champs this year, all their maps were close. Definitely a hot take, but not impossible.

posted about a year ago

Yeah V1 is better than C9W was, and this G2 is weaker than last year's G2. No mary no win

Congrats on your transition. Don't forget to always gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss. Clearly YTA for not being assertive enough here. You need to push them harder. Maybe poison the fiancé's drink.

kickoff is the regional tournament before masters

posted about a year ago

not really the regional league per se, it's not a full league split, it's straight playoffs (although god knows how they will be seeded because 11 teams sounds like a messy bracket)

but yeah it is just a regional competition to qualify for masters madrid

Pretty solid take. Bottom EMEA is very hard to predict as lots of teams are signing inexperiences players where we don't really know how they'll do. Maybe a bit high on Bleed copium. They're good and have good chances to qualify for M2/Champs, but I'm not sure they can be a consistent top 2 team

posted about a year ago

Brother just root for the team you like most and use it as a flair. Doesn't matter what flair you have, people will attack you for it either way. Just enjoy the games and don't let vlr basement dwellers ruin that for you.

posted about a year ago

Given that they signed runneR and given what Sayf himself has said about playing duelist (for example in this video) I highly doubt it. Maybe a bit here and there depending on the comps they run, but he wants to be a support player who teaches and enables young talented players (roughly what he said)

Kimmie "Kicks" Laasner, it says right there in the article

posted about a year ago

I mean obviously I'm not going to write him off because of like 5 games with DSG. But if he also flops at Bleed, I certainly wouldn't classify him as a "top" player anymore (which is what the post was about anyway, it's a hypothetical)

So just because a player was bad on one team they're not a bad player? Shouldn't the converse then also be true? Just because he was good on one team, doesn't mean he's a good player.

posted about a year ago

Pretty much any top 50 player can easily get #1 if they just play enough during a specific time period. They all have positive win rates and positive KDs because their average opponent will always be outside the top 50. At that point it's really just about number of games played.
