I am not gonna write an article on this but I think everyone should know this but Moroccan player NoXuS has tragically passed away. He was a consistent contender in MENA competing for a few teams since 2022, most recently, xProjekt.

Although TBD has been pretty dominant this year imo TBD is better at this tournament so I think they are gonna and I support TBD so lets see

Yeah I agree GC and VCT are 2 different competitions that should not be compared

The current meta is double initiator as older maps that have been out for a while that didn't previously have double initiator like pearl now have double initiator so wouldn't be suprised if Split follows

  1. Not complete or fully comfortable roster
  2. Doesn't get invited
  3. Doesn't want to play in an open tournament
  4. Doesn't want to travel or can't travel (Can be a lot of legal work like passports, visa etc.)

Also I hear some people say

  1. Less vods circulating online therefore harder to anti-strat

But regardless every team should try their best to participate in one

South North America? do they cancel out each other so just america? so america is delusional? how?

posted 8 months ago

Until Ascendant agents don't really matter just play something you are comfortable with, that is self sufficient and doesn't require much coordination with your team. Viper is one of the worst for solo queue in my opinion and you can only play in high elo. Sova and fade can work.

  1. If a match has a stream and is on vlr but the stream isn't then contact them on discord or tell the tournament organizers to contact vlr ahead of time
  2. vlr is picky with what matches and tournaments they cover and what they will make news about. They have specific guidelines and stuff if you want to see basically every tournament covered RIB is better
  3. Since vlr is English based and is predominantly NA they like to cover more NA tournaments and news like mFH so don't be surprised if they miss a lot tournaments across the world

Just an open tournament that my team should be playing in soon

posted 8 months ago

Not real probably, most teams usually don't reveal how much they pay for players directly like that

JiJieHao (formerly Bonkers) has reportedly acquired IKANA during their current Challengers Oceania run. He is replacing punda who seems like will be moving away from the main active roster although still playing in LPL Pathfinder Season 3.

Earlier this year, JiJieHao bought out the entire free agent roster, Bonkers, after their memorable 2023 Pacific Ascension run ahead of the next challenger season. In 2024 they would prove this roster is still strong by winning Challengers Oceania Stage 1. Unfortunately they would fall just short of ascensions after losing to Arena Internet Cafe and FOCUSGG. Following missing out on ascension they would make a few roster roster changes ahead of stage 3. They currently have a record of 3-1 in stage 3 and are on track to qualify for playoffs.

IKANA is fresh out of Justice for Tomorrow following the team disbanding after a respectable run at 2024 Pacific Ascensions. He has been a top performer in Oceania consistently putting out decent performances for his role as initiator while as a team they would be fairly dominant winning Challengers Stage 2 to go to ascensions and winning LPL Pathfinder Season 2. He joins JiJieHao with their Bonkers core and look to use the ascensions experiences to win in Oceania.

JiJieHao is now:
IKANA - Initiator
Minimise - Flex Initiator (Captain)
Dragon - Sentinel
LEW - Duelist
Tixx - Controller
Punda - Initiator (Unknown)

They are cool and all but I don't really resonate with them that much and they are not a team that looks extraordinary appealing to me. I have neutral opinions on them

posted 8 months ago

Thanks man 😃 and also Talon had been considered

posted 8 months ago

Hes not the worst and there are still other reasons to like Heretics

posted 8 months ago

When I first got into val esports they were a team I watched a lot and they astonished me I just really like them just maybe not on an international level but if they were still as good as before and were willing to change then maybe but I understand why they don't want to change

Earlier I posted about my search for a new team that I can support in tier 1 (New Favourite Tier 1 Team) and after careful consideration here are the results:

*Look at the original post I linked for requirements and what I look at so I won't explain my decisions. If you guys have any questions comment below

International:
1-Heretics
2-Karmine Corp
3-100T
4-5...6...cont

AMER
1-100T
T-2-NRG
T-2-EG
4-Kru

EMEA
1-Heretics
2-Karmine Corp
T-3-Gentlemates
T-3-FUT
T-5-NAVI (If rumours are true)
T-5-KOI

APAC
1-Paper Rex
2-RRQ
T-3-Team Secret
T-3-Talon
T-5-ZETA
T-5-DFM

CN
T-1-EDG
T-1-XLG
T-3-BLG
T-3-DRG

If a team is not listed here then that means I have neutral opinions or I dislike them. All teams mentioned here I like. If you have any questions about my decisions or want to contest it comment below, I am still open to discussion and it may change but it is basically done unless there is drastic roster moves or something I expect didn't happen (Like Koalanoob to NAVI).

I do agree this is not acceptable but lets not go nuts over 1 map idk that's my opinion

posted 8 months ago

its not that deep it's just an off season tournament they could be having a bad day or sum and its still 2nd map maybe weak map

posted 8 months ago

Oh yeah definitely I think this is a good time for him to develop that experience so we might see him in the future in tier 1

posted 8 months ago

yeah could be, language tends to be a problem in APAC due to no somewhat standard language like at least in EMEA a lot of people speak english and they can somewhat comm while APAC it is not as apparent and their english fluency is a lot lower compared to EMEA. Although Yuran wasn't that good at Zeta that doesn't mean he is a bad player and he could probably use his new tier 1 skills at Sengoku and help them out

posted 8 months ago

Sengoku Gaming have announced that they have picked up Yuran, this comes following Impact's departure the day prior.

Sengoku have been testing out different roster combinations and new players recently at off-season tournaments such as Red Bull Home Ground and Predator League Japan following a respectable third place finish at Challengers Japan after losing at the hands of ZETA's Fennel and the eventual champions Riddle Order. Impact was signed to replace Jinboong but that lasted temporarily as they would later announce his contract expiry suggesting he was there just for the off season.

Yuran was previously on ZETA Division for one season and another couple of months on their academy team before that. His time at ZETA would be particularly uneventful as they would finish 8th in the standings with 3 wins, their most eventful win being against Talon Esports. He most recently played a flash initiator role at ZETA occasionally flexing onto other roles although during his earlier days at ZETA he played Viper only. Yuran is replacing Impact who played sentinel at Sengoku which Yuran doesn't have much professional experience with so it is unsure at this time what role he will be filling.

Sengoku Gaming is now:
Gwangboong - Duelist
Kippei - Controller
NOBITA - Recon Initiator
Misaya - Flash Initiator
Yuran - Unknown (Probably Sentinel)

meltdown - Head Coach
Relife - Coach

*Authors Note - I can't read Japanese so I am unsure what the posters say and I am going off the translated description. I am also not the most educated on Challengers Japan so if you think I should add or remove anything comment below
