Answer the question : If EMEA would be reduced for 8 or 6 team, who do you think would be the 6 teams ?
India in 2021 was decent beside the scrimpool isolation, they beat 3rd best team in Korea, and loose in OT against the 5th best team in game 3.
If Korean player have the chance to play in T1 while SA don't the gap will continue to increase and the region will continue to die. If GE try to make a non SA team, they will just bring player that wasn't accepted by top KR team or top SEA team relative to their language so they will not have a competitive team (And as you can see this strategy of taking the leftover didn't work)
GE should focus on long term and nurture their own scene, yeah, you will pick 5 Indian player, yeah they will be bombed last in 1st year (And it's not even sure, because if you hire 5 Indian player, they will fly to Korea and have access to a stronger soloQ and progress faster), but they will take experience and the experience will nurture the whole scene once they get removed, on long term thats the only way to develop the scene and finally produce real T1 player
Bombing few year and have a chance to go to inter after 5 year of problem, is way more appealing that just continue to fighting to take a 6th place wish is the best they can hope
In science, when the method is good and the conclusion doesn't please us, then it's the expected conclusion that is a problem. So the only question is "is the method and criterias good ?" If you have direct criticism toward criteria, then you can give them, critisism is how you progress, but you can't just say "I don't think the conclusion is realist, then that's mean your conclusion is bad"
If we take every partner team in EMEA :
FNC/TL is safe cause of history and long term partner with Riot
KC/KOI may be safe because of fanbase
FUT/BBL/NAVI may be safe because geographical market (Maybe one of TR may drop but thats the max)
GX have nothing to save them, and will be the first to die
Then you still have VIT and TH, I don't think they are that mush in danger for the moment, afterall that's 2 team that Riot trust since a long time, the danger for Vitality is that if Riot want to give a spot for M8, 3 representants for FR while Germany have 0, put them in a risk, what may save them is their CS and LoL historic (But that's counted in criteria afterall). So Vit is pretty safe, but with M8 we can never know
TH is probably the most endanger team after GX, the only things they have is the fact they have a good team and the 3 years of partnership with Riot in both LoL and Valo, if tomorrow TH become the worst team in the league, what argument do we have to keep them in the league ?

FQ and SR not being picked where before 100T almost drop LoL, it was in late 2022, the context between 2022 and today is not the same. In 2024 SR managed to acquire a slot in LCS, while in late 2024 100T almost dropped LoL, this occured after late 2023 Valorant partner pick, and are new element that could change the outcome. You cant use the argument "They where not pick in 2022"
They probably didn't have time to boot them (Since they where announced as partner), or to find a replacement, I would be surprised if they would be still here next year (But yeah it's possible)
Anyway this is the kind of org that is not "reliable", even if you keep them you will look for team to replace them and do it when you can (SR, FQ may already more juicy for Riot)

I think you don't consider the good criteria to see who is gonna be unpartner, you will always have a team that is last, if you think a tam that is bad should be unpartner, then this team should be an ascension team... the question is "whish structure would still attract fan even if they are last", KOI and KC can say yes to this, and a team like Heretics dont. Basically, currently, Ascention is the tournament that decide wish are the 2 tier 2 team that will be allowed to play with the 10 partner team (Currently, they are only 10 partner team plus 2 ascention team.). In Americas 2G and G2 are the ascension team, wish mean one of this team will be relegated or be forced to participate in Ascention to keep their place. This tournament is held at the end of the year featuring the top team in each region. (In Americas, 2 for NA, BR and LA). So for exemple at the end of Split 2 if G2 go to world and 2G go to playoffs, 2G will be qualified for ascention in order to keep their place in T1, they will face top 2 team from each region in Americas and the winner will be in Tier 1 in 2026.
Technically my idea doesn't make more team for master, you could end with the exact same number of team with what I propose (You can keep Kickoff format with 16 teams and still qualify 2 of them). But that's true, my proposition open a door for more team in international event. Today it's impossible to have more team in champions, because if they are lets say 20 or 24 teams, thats would mean half of team that compete for champion would be in, wish is absolutely weird, but if tomorrow T2 team could qualify to champions then, it's possible to have more team in champions, and if you have more team in champions then it is opening a door for more team in masters.

If you want save T2 then give to the best team in each region a chance to qualify to any international event if they beat top T1 teams, without adding offline tournament because it's complex to move some teams. If you do that, then T2 become hype because you are following team that have a chance to go in inter. If you qualify only 4 team in T2 to qualify in a T1 qualifier with other T1 team, we are perfect, and it will be easy to do fair format. (For Amer it's easy, LAN/LAS/BR/NA, that's 4 leagues and 4 spots. APAC have 5 leagues, so either 2 will have to do one game, or you can put OCE in China since they already have most of OCE player another alternative is to let play against each other the 2 league that belong to the same scrimpool aka JP and KR, and for EMEA it's pretty free, it depends on if you consider like in GC that MENA team can play with European team or not, and for China well... 4 best CN team and we good)

Split 3 T2 2025 --> Kickoff 2026 : best team from best T2 region (4 team per T1 region) can go to kickoff (And solve the issues format with 12 team and go to 16 teams only for kickoff, adding only 8 series per region),
Split 1 T2 2026 --> Playoffs Split 1 T1, (Either that, or an LCQ with team that didnt made playoffs for the 3rd seed, and team that fall from the main bracket)
Split 2 T2 2026 --> Ascention --> Winner of Ascension plays against 4th T1 team for the last spot

For kickoff, the meta was really shaky, no team really know what to play and this situation serves a lot team that only have aim (and also good fundamentals), and that is not able to make any gameplan, the exact definition of what vitality is. The problem of NA is NA mentality that care only about T1 and that is unable to have a successful T2 model that help their grassroot to grow, and thats why their T2 have low viewer. Na is gonna die if the steamer and owner doesnt work on mentality to fix things (The fact only Sen have a T2 team among the SIX NA TEAM, would be enough a reason to thanos half of NA structure for T1, and take structure that really care about the league even if they are smaller and less clouted)
