I like val better as a game to play
but CS is a bit better as a game in terms of esports imo

in CS you have way more situations in which mechanical talent can shine, making for a lot of hype moments. You still have some depth to strategy although its not as deep as in val.
But the final being a bo3 was kinda disappointing tbh, the last map was amazing

the only one way that pros frequently used (out of the ones that you can't do anymore) is the garage one

I think astra is better now though regardless because of 5 stars, so maybe for that reason her pick rate will go higher, but I don't see her replacing omen completely since a lot of players are comfortable on Omen

idk how much revenue (if any) this site makes so it's a matter of finding a way to monetize vlr to hire more devs

first thing they should do imo is get volunteer mods to make sure the rules are actually being followed, people don't take vlr seriously because of some of the outrageous stuff that gets posted here (I guess HLTV doesn't have this issue since they say some wild stuff there, but the val player base is much less tolerant to this kinda stuff)

I really wanna see more things like this Tixinha tournament, where split 3 of tier 2 qualifies directly into a mixed tier 1/2 tournament.

Riot should make it an official offseason event that they themselves run (like Spotlight), so you can have one in every major region (I'd think something like: South America, North America, EMEA, APAC North, SEA and CN but maybe other divisions would make more sense)

From my understanding it's currently a streamer who's running and funding this, but the idea is so cool, and it actually gives Split 3 a real purpose

I've had recon for ages now, and I waited like a year to get it. But I still think it's better
I bought Primordium and stopped using it after like 2 games, I absolutely hated it (This isn't the same for the vandal btw, for some reason I really fw the Vandal)

Personally I'd wait, in my experience you can't get bored of recon as easily
(I think flashy skins are easier to get bored of, and the recon kill effect is probably the most satisfying in the game)

and probably yeah, people may have had higher peaks but Alfajer has had a very very high peak himself (I think second highest statistically) and is still very consistently at the top of the list (over 2 years now)

plus he's still young so he has even more potential which is crazy to think about
