Season 4 did get boring at times, but season 5 has been really good. But from what I can remember season 1 and 2 were very good yeah

Change it from the in game settings, if you've already done that open up val and then open up your windows display settings and try and force it to change from there. If that doesn't work I would play on borderless until you find a proper fix
