Banter is fine, but we gotta seriously stop taking things to a personal level. Keep it in the game, and about the game.

True. You can't make people better by hating on them. SEN could have millions of fans and community expectations but at the end of day we have to realize they tried their best on the server, if they are not good enough they are not good enough! That's it, really.

exactly. The results are results and no matter what they might be they dont justify any hate whatsoever let alone the amount of hate sentinels is getting rn

i understand, but thats what happens when youre competing in esports, heck any sports in fact. from what the people see all the team is doing is not praccing, unmotivated and having a coach that just screams in ranked everyday. thered be less hate if the people were actually committed to winning the game instead of streaming. yes, praccing and streaming doesnt get in the way, but why would you have time to even stream if you and your team are committed to becoming the best?? its a simple fact: work hard, play hard

whether any of that is true or not doesn't excuse the hate they receive

downfrag me or not, i dont care, call me a psycho for my values, idc, but professional players get way more hate. they get way more death threats and hate from people. you also need to realise that hate doesnt come out if nowhere, its BECAUSE the team is losing to these teams and seeing no signs of improvement that people are hating

ok? that doesn't justify the level of hate...you're overthinking the shit out of this too. nobody thinks you're a psycho for your values if you believe this. you're allowed to have a different opinion.

youre not understanding the scale difference here. One were talking about professional sports where the viewership for any given sport is in the 100 millions and the other is talking about valorant, a game that has barely hit a peak of 1 million concurrent viewers. Ofc the actual amount of hate towards professional football players will far exceed the amount a professional valorant player gets but the scale is much different and the way they handle it is also different. Professional athletes have teams that deal with their social media so that theyre almost never actually the ones touching it. The comments are also highly monitored and censored and DMs are not able to be read if they are not passed through the team. Do you think any players at sentinels have that?
Its a completely different context that cannot be compared. With athletes its not any more justified than it is with valorant players but the valorant players actually see it on a day to day basis and are not nearly as large as athletes are in big name sports

does that justify harassment and hate? Cause I was definitely taught that it wasnt. No matter what they do and how they do it none of the hate that theyre getting is warranted. Giving criticism is different from taking the argument onto a personal level and attacking the people themselves and not the actual role they play and how well they play it

I'm glad notable players are speaking on this because it actually gets through to some of the people here. I understand wanting your team to do well and I get that most the gaming community doesn't care about people's mental but the things I read about shahzam on here are so over the top and unnecessary, he's had to deal with a lot during his time in Valorant and I get his personality may annoy some people but having to log on and see so much hate, not just criticism but actual hate over what you think are bad calls / bad performances can ruin a person.

its not just that, its what he says that annoys people. “ i could be earning milliosn from streaming instead of practicing. you guys need ti understand im giving up on money” he thinks hes so special and he should be praised upon because he giving up money to stream when literally any pro gives up more time than him to prac and win

that is sooooo out of context, shahz said that as a response to people hating on him for not trying hard enough. How do they know shahz wasnt trying hard enough? you cant always just try ur hardest and expect to win every game
Its really pathetic that people attack him on a personal level and when he seems even a bit frustrated then its somehow being called "ego" i see people calling out his family on his streams and u expect him to just ignore them all the time, theres gonna be a point where hes gonna lose his shit and im surprised shahz is still keeping his cool after alllll this hate, this guy got threats for playing jett on split. Absolutely pathetic.

yay you're a god and I love you since your valorant fundamentals video released on yt, but for this case SEN needs some hate (especially their IGL) to get some motivation and try harder so they can prove emselves at Pro level (because we knew not all of SEN members are toxic, TenZ and SicK deserves a better IGL or even a better team)

and also no drama no fun

I don't agree with the hate, but it just seems hypocritical since other teams have also had to deal with the same kind of hate, although on a smaller level, hate is still hate.
