Valorant is their best team and probably the most popular. nAts has more twitter followers than the org lol
why is this the case? wasnt their cs team a top 5 team in the world for the longest time? i don't really follow cs so I could be wrong though
valorant followers are younger and they are more active on social
a lot CSGO viewers dont care about the 'day to day' stuff other than the esports side of things
While nats is popular on a global, or at least pan-european scale, Gambit CS are mostly popular in Russia and Russia uses their own social media network, VK, instead of twitter
Their CS team was 100% more popular lmao. They straight up dominated for most of the COVID era and looked like they were playing perfect CS.
you're not. When people go for lines like 'name checks out', 'ratio' and something like that, it means they lost their argument got nothing to say, but still want to get the last word in
Nah, Gambit's CSGO team is just 5 skinny quiet boys who never post anything on socials, all of them (even superstar sh1ro) have like <30k followers on Twitter
Gambit CSGO are not even popular domestically because of how boring they are, Navi/VP players and staff are more active in that side of things, although right now most of CIS community (russians) rejected Navi due to their pro-ukrainian media
I mean I feel like that's just due to the CS scene being way less active on Twitter and other socials compared to Valorants scene. I could be wrong and it's completely possible that the valorant roster is just straight up more popular.
Guys from Gambit Valorant have more charisma and they know how to act online and offline
Guys from Gambit CSGO treat esport like a clerk work - you come, you do, you leave, no fun whatsoever, they're not entertaining anyone and not interacting with fans
It's not just about CSGO being less active on Twitter
bro, look at how many people actually watch gambit valorant play vs CSGO. Individually, they valorant guys may be more popular, but as a team, CSGO is definitely more popular
Every member of Gambit csgo has less followers than the least followed guy of Gambit Val (sheydos) except Hobbit who has 61k followers
This says a lot, considering Gambit CSGO roster played TIMES more games/tournaments than Gambit Val roster, yet they're less popular
and when gambit CSGO team play vs Valorant team play?? CSGO always have many more viewers (at least 2x). Also russian has other social media. It is like saying TenZ is not popular because his weibo has less follower
The 2x part is not true at all. Top 2 most viewed matches at champs were both Gambit matches although it was majorly because it was semis and finals. The most watched match in EMEA challengers was also FNC vs Gambit.
Also your point regarding them being more popular in Russia might be true but Gambit val as a whole is one of the most popular rosters in the world as a whole
Popularity doesnt necessarily mean good performance lol. If that was the case Sentinels would be the best team in the world
Also gambit csgo is a very quiet team with players who dont really have a social media personality, sure people might support them when they play matches but other than that nobody cares what theyre doing
SEN did only gain popularity because they were good though...
Yep but they also had great social media personalities, Tenz is quite literally the face of Valorant even though many might disagree. Look at optic and cloud9, despite being the best teams of NA they are less popular than 100T, TSM and SEN. Cloud9 in champions got the least viewership out of major teams. At the end of the day the popularity of teams socials etc matter the most of the orgs because this results in more brands, merch sales etc
TL best org. signing player over market price and let them stay even if they underperform lol
They were just forced to play under a neutral tag, they're still contracted and on a payroll
Gambit suffering from the war, even tho it seems like they donβt support it. All good
Gambit will never release the best EMEA roster without buyout LOL
I think Guild or any big EU team will buy their roster soon.
With franchising announced Rogue probably wants in they are consistently top 3 in LEC and recently recieved massive investments and I'm pretty sure all LEC orgs will be given priority or even direct slots into the new league
