yeah, valorant is like a breeding ground for nepotism and favoritism for friends from previous games.
lookin at his vct run with akrew hes been bottom fragging alot. not saying kills mater but to consistently bottom frag against teams like bbg, knights doesnt convince me that hes t1 good

he's just bad at skye & sage, but so good at chamber, kayo, and neon
and that's what sentinels need
Also, you can't decide if he;s bad on those agent solely with his kills. look at his assists, he gets a lot of assists on the support agents even if he doesn't have lot of kills.
Watch kanpeki play ranked or something. You can clearly see how flexible he is with every role and how good his comms are. He can only build on that. There is no true and trusted player out there that would have fixed SEN's problem so might as well bet on someone who has potential and good vibes on top of that.
To be fair tho compared to like zander and cryo he's done way more in the t2 scene and actually looks decent as a pick up too
